Full protection against open circuit, accidental short circuit and reverse polarity should be provided. A good reliable on/off switch suitable for DC use is to be provided. The cable shall be ISI marked three core PVC flat submersible cableas per IS 694:1990 or amended up to date ( standard insulation) and conductor as per class 5 of IS 8130:1980 or amended up to date.
