| 23 | Item No 1.22 Contd..... Motors (a) Motor rating shall be computed as per IS-3177 Motors shall be squirrel cage induction type, heavy duty. Reversible, crane duty type with 40% CDF Class H insulation with temperature rise limited to class B. It should have TEFC enclosure, IP-55 ingress protection. It shall be designed for speed control of 10% to 100% with variable speed drive. (b) Hoisting Mechanism, with specially designed crab unit for Single girder, Hanging engineered for smooth jerk free and soft start, lifting of loads. Hoist drive with micro drive through clutch and geared motor selected according to the class of duty, driving the rope drum, through helical gear box. The rope drum shall be made out of seamless pipes fabricated from plates tested as per ASTM/IS standards. (c) Gear Boxes with stress relieved, machined, lapped and hardened helical gears, oil lubricated, manufactured using the modern gear cutting machines, duly heat treated to withstand the stringent load conditions and selected according to class of duty commensurate with type of application. (d) End carriages with standard wheel bases fabricated using the modern welding and machining techniques to ensure jerk free and smooth travel motion. The wheels shall be double flanged, supported on self-aligning anti-friction bearings, Limit switch shall be provided at the ends of the carriage as per IS Standards. (e) Brakes for all drives shall be self-aligning type, Electro-magnetic shoe / disc brakes type to hold the mechanism in position instantaneously as soon as the power supply is "OFF" either accidentally or intentionally for all motions. Shunt brakes. (f) Lifting Hook: Drop Forged with latch, Plain "C" type, Swiveling on Thrust Bearing, Duly tested as per IS: 15560 (latest version). |
| 24 | Item No 1.22 Contd..... Rope Drum It shall be of fabricated type stress relieved or seamless pipe. The circumferential weld joints shall be tested by 100% X-Ray quality (Please mention the size). Hoist Wire Rope Details Confirming to IS: 2266 with Fiber core. Crane Operation Through Radio Remote Control and also with Pendant control of Reputed Make with Push Button for ON, OFF, UP, DOWN, Forward, Reverse, Left, Right, Siren, Bridge Light & Emergency Stop with option for control selection. Push Button Type Radio Remote control for all motions shall be supplied. Radio remote control should be multi speed steps of operation. The crane shall be controlled by pendant moving independently of crab along full length of bridge on separate track. Pendent should be of Die cast Aluminum having push buttons for each motion, stay put type emergency stop switch along with mode (RRC or Pendant) selector switch. Pendent shall be hanged in the middle of Bridge Girder with Chrome plated steel chain & duly covered with sleeve Guards. Necessary LT drivers of reputed make shall be provided both ends of CT with motor and break All the moving parts should be duly covered with guards as per safety norm. Proper guard / - cover/ tray to prevent falling of bolts from coupling etc should also be provided, wherever required. (Contractor to provide details) Limit Switch Cross travel: 2 Nos lever/roller type Hoist: 2Nos and LT 02 Nos Electric Contactors It shall be of have SIEMENS / L&T/GE/ Schneider suitable for Crane operations. Crane duty AC-4 ratings. The rating of all contactors shall be at least 50% higher than the respective electric motor full load current, at the specified duty cycle. |

Trailing Cables Trailing cables (Extra flexible having copper conductors only) should be traveling on rollers moving on separate I-Beam parallel to Bridge Girder and both for LT & CT shall be supplied and Erected by the contractor. Painting Instruction: (a) Painting: One coat of Red oxide primer with 25 micron DFT (Dry film thickness) and 48 hours of compulsory curing after painting. The crab unit should be thoroughly cleaned and final painting with two coats enamel paint (Colour - Golden Yellow) each with a DFT of 25 Micron and intermittent curing of 16 hours. Final touching will be done after refection & commissioning at site if required. (b) All other incidental, civil, electrical, Mechanical works. Electric Panel: Electric panel indoor type with 2mm thick enclosure shall be provided with necessary drives for motor, contactors, relays, LED indicators along with necessary TPN MCCB’s of suitable capacity complete all as specified and directed, Note: 1. Suitable capacity LT cable 3.5 core required is demanded to be included in the quoted rate. 2. The Contractor is advised to visit the site before quoting the rate. 3. The Contractor shall produce detailed drawing of the Crab unit along with the BOQ before going for the procurement. 4. The cost of welding of required size MS base plate for placing motors along with all fittings and fixtures is deemed to be included in the quoted rate. |
