| 98 | Note:-(a) Contractors representative / engineer shall report to concerned JE E/M incharge of AGE E/M office at fore noon and after noon to collect routine/urgent works related to internalelectric supply till completion of work. The work shall be attendedby the contractor immediately. The contractor shall ensure availability of manpower equipped with all sort of petty items such as insulation tape, galvanised screwes, nuts, bolts, washers etc required to accomplish the job. The contractor will also ensure as availability of every type of requiste T&P items to his trades man.All routne / urgent job slip will be repaired and gotsignature of user"s and will be deposited to JE E/M with in 24hrs.In case of any delayin attending the complaint more than 8 hrs after handing over of routine / urgent work,the contractor shall be liable to pay the penalty as described in penalty caluse given here as under. |
| 99 | (b)The penalty shall be applicable to the contractor if the delay is noticed by the Engr-in-Cahrge more than eight hrs after handing over works of urgent nature to the contractor. The Engr-in-Chargeshall handover the slip containing specification of work to the contractor by lodging the time and signature of contractor be obtained on slip.The contractor shall attend the complaint immediately and shall report to Engr-in-Charge with in 8 hrs. The contractor will keep his tradesmen in stand by for attending any routine / urgent works from the executive.If the nature of job is such that the work cannot be completed within period of8 hrs then the facts shall be brought to the notice of the GE/Engr-in-Chargeand the period for the working to the complaint shall be decided by the Engineer-in-charge. If the delay is more then twelve hrs period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs 200/- per job shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor. Please note that this penalty is exclusively other then the condition 56 of IAFW - 2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall be enforceabove as and when delay in individual job is noticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the Deptt.The decision of the Accepting Officer is this regards shall be final and binding. (c) The contractor shall maintain a record of all urgent work at and if the work is repeated due to poor workmanship, he will be liable to repair the same without any extra expenditure to the Govt. |
