1Bore hole dia shall be 150mm, Depth of bore shall be decideded as per the soil condition and may be taken 10m or N value reaches 50, whichever is earlier. Note : Under this test following results also be provided : (i) Grain size analysis, indetification & classification of soil. (ii)Unit weight (bulk density), natural moisture content, Liquid limit, Plastic limit, Shrinkage limit, Plasticity index, Specific gravity. (iii) Dry density, degree of saturation of soil. (iv) Free swelling index & swelling pressure if expansive soil is encountered. (v) Shear parameters (C- analysis). (vi) Consolidatioin test & permeability test. Calculation of tests with results to be included in report. (vii) Chemical analysis of soil and recommendation and type of cement to be used for RCC foundation. (viii)Chemical analysis of ground water (water to obatined from bottom of bore hole). (ix)Depth of water table below ground level .(x) Presence of loose soil, if any and its depth. (xi) If weak soil with lesser N value as specification in table-1 of IS :1893 (Part-I) 2016 is encountered then evaluation of liquefaction potential shall be assessed and remedial action to be adopted shall be specified. Comment on liquefaction potential to be included in report. (xii)Undisturbed soil sample shall be collected at 1.5 m interval and at change of strata. (xiii)Bore hole dia shall be 150 mm. Depth of bore shall be decided as per the soil condition and may be taken 10-15 m or N value reaches 50, whichever is earlier. However depth of bore holes may be taken as 25 m for pile foundation. (xiv)SPT test shall be done at 1.0 interval. (xv)Crushing strength, degree of weathering (CR value) and RQD of rock samples.(xvi) Recommendation for filling under floor and filling under protection including plinth protection. (xvii) K- value of soil 0.5m to 0.5m depth required in case of swimming pool/ UG water retaining structure.(xviii) Plate load test for ascertaining SBC at the proposed level of foundation specified for OHR only.(xix) Modulusof sub grade reaction. (xx) As per IS- 1892 clause 3.6.5.3, drilling for 3.0 m depth inside the rock is essential to ensure that boulders or layers of cemented soil are not mistaken for rock. (xxi) For open foundation, calculation of net SBC at 1.5m, 2m, 2.5m, 3.0m from shear analysis as well as SPT value settlement criteria SBC values shall be calculated based on C analysis as well as SPT value. For calculation formula given in IS 6403 shall be used.(xxii) If pile foundations are required then depth of pile shall be mentioned and pile capacity in compression, uplift & lateral load shall be given for 300. 400, 450, 500 dia for under reamed piles & for 450, 500, 550, 600 mm dia for long piles. (xxiii) Recommendation regarding type of foundation to be adopted & net SBC/pile capacity to be adopted. Also, recommedation shall be given regarding stability of soil and soil stabilization required, if any. (xxiv) Bore log details shall be as per Appx "D" of IS 1892 N values depth wise shall also be shown in bore log details. Bore log details shall be signed by GE, AGE and soil consultant.(xxv) Undisturbed soil samples shall be collected at 1.5m interval and at change of strata. (xxvi) Shear Strength using Direct Shear or Tri-axial Test. Calculation and test results to be included in the report.

7Topographical survey with total staion instrument for site showing all natural and man made features on the site, preparation plans (maps) showing all permanent features, incl buildings, large trees, pucca & kacha nullas, ditches, nearby road/approaches, railway track, culverts, over transmission lines, ridges, boundary wall, fencing, demarcation line & levels @ 5mx5m grid and estimating earthwork complete, including submission of topo maps and detailed earth work calculation according to Simpsons rule, 06 copies spirally binded alongwith hard and soft copy. Note:-(i) Borehole positioins alongwith their distance from prominent permanent reference points duly marked on site plan to be enclosed in each copy of soil investigation report.. (ii) Plan size of bldgs shall also be marked in the plan. This plan shall be signed by GE, AGE and soil consultant. (iii) Color photograph on A4 size photo paper of the site with the locations of the boreholes duly flagged should be submitted. The photographs should also preferably include any reference structure and the indentification of the same be marked.. (iv) A CD containing video evidence of the depth of each borehole and machinery deployed at site location will be provided which is inclusive in above quoted rate. (v) 06 hard copies each of Soil investigation report and Topographical Survey to be provided along with soft copies of the same. (vi) Calculation of bearing capacity under shear failure criteria as well as settlement failure criteria is to be provided for each SPT. (vii) Recommendation of SBC for OHR and other buildings are to be provided for depths of 1.0m,1.5m,2.0m,2.5m,3.0m (viii) Calculation deyails of earthwork and SBC is to be provided in the reports.
