(b)Earth Resistance Tester will be provided by the Contractor. (Tester should be caliberated from Authorised Company). (c)Contractor will be responsible for pouring of water in the Earth Pits Weekly at his own arrangement with Water Tanker, etc. However, Water will be provided by the Department. (d)Checking of Earth Pits existing and improve it by watering/adding a layer of Salt/ Magnesium Sulphate/Char Coal, etc. (e)Contractor will be responsible for marking of Earth Check date and due date on existing/new plate with paint as specified by Engineer-in-Charge. (f)Contractor will be responsible for cleaning of bushes and grass all around upto 1.50 Metre Area of existing Earth Pit with tightening of Strip.
43M&L Repairing Damaged Earth Pit/Chamber in Cement Concrete 1:3:6(20mm graded stone aggregate) as shown in Electrical Plate No 3 of MES Schedule Part-I including providing Pre-cast RCC Cover in Cement Concrete 1:2:4 (20mm graded stone aggregate) of 350x350x50mm in size, reinforced with and including 10mm dia TMT Bars @ 100mm Centre to Centre in both ways including Funnel and cleaning the surrounding of Earth Pit Cover and pouring Salt Water to improve the resistance and measuring and recording the same in presence of Engineer-in-Charge, complete all as specified and as directed.

62Supply & Installation and testing on commissioning of Advance conductive compound based chemical compound technology with upgraded high tensile low carbon steel rod as per UL 467 and as per BS 7430 with copper Coating 250 microns. Earthing system confirming to IS:3034. The ROD should 17.2 mm & 3 Meter length with rod to tape clamp, CR 125 (type A) additional protection of the terminal. Chemical compound should be The highly Conductive Compound as per BSEN 50164-7with 25kg each bag & resistivity should be 0.05 ohm meter. The job includes digging the pit and refilling the same by fursecem Back Fill Compound (Ground Enhancer), the BFC should be eco friendly it should not contain environmentally hazardous material/metal having mixed with 3:1 cement , a conductive concrete is formed. The earth pit should provided with a light weight inspection pit cover PT -205 for protection and safe guard of terminals. In areas where soil condition is bad Good earth is to be arranged to fill the excavated pits by mixing fursecem a convenient and permanent solution by adding with 3:1 ratio chemical compound with the earth electrode is the main component of the earthing system which is in direct contact with the ground and thus provides a mean of releasing or collecting earth leakage currents. The material should have good electrical conductivity and anti corrosion property in wide range of soil conditions. Make : ABB FurseCEM as per RB 336. Each earth pit should contain:- 1.) 1 no. copper bonded high tensile low carbon steel, 17. 2 mm dia , 3 meter length. 2.) Rod to tape clamp (type A). 3.) 25kg chemical compound as per BSEN 50164-7 4.) Light weight inspection pit cover with 5000kg weight load capacity Complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.
