1 | Formation of core layer of the River training walls & Groyneswith querry stones of weight 1 kg to 500 kg having rocks of various grades loaded & transpoted from the approved quarry and/or from the stacking area to the groynes/ River training Location and Unloading or Dumping at Onshore or Offshore as per the design and Drawing.The rock quality requirements & Rock grading classes shall be in accordance with CIRIA C683 (2007) and IS 13030 – 1991. (The Rock used in the core layer shall not contain more than 50% by weight of stone with a length to thickness (L/d) ratio greater than 2. Not more than 5% of the rocks shall have a length to thickness (L/d) ratio greater than 3, where the length, L, is defined as the greatest distance between two points on the stone and the thickness, d, as the minimum distance between two enclosing parallel planes through which the stone can just pass.) The specified grades of material shall be placed to lines and levels as indicated on the approved Good for Construction Drawings with a provision of necessary allowance for the settlement of the groynes due to consolidation effects. ( Mode of Measurements for payment shall be in Cum byWeighing in the Electronic Weight Bridge installedin his own arrangements and convertinginto volume by multiplying the same withthe desired specific weight of the Quarry rock, subjected to match with the theoretical profile of the River training walls & Groynes) |
2 | Formation of Armour layer & Toe layer of the River training walls & Groyneswith querry stones of weight 1 T to 3T having rocks of various grades loaded & transpoted from the approved quarry and/or from the stacking area to the groynes/ River training Location and Unloading or Dumping at Onshore or Offshore as per the design and Drawing.Rock with weight over 1 T shall not be mass dumped, but placed individually or alternatively by use of a skip or cactus type grab. The armouring layer shall follow as closely as possible to the placement of underlayer to avoid damage to the underlayer material.The armour units shall be placed in such a manner that the required degree of inter-locking, the required packing density and the required void ratio shall be achieved.The rock quality requirements & Rock grading classes shall be in accordance withCIRIA C683 (2007) and IS 13030 – 1991. 3 | Construction, Transportation and Placing of Tetrapod of RCC M40 grade for Groynes at -4 & -5 Contour (Offshore) casted from yard upto placing it at its coordinate and Position including hire charges of cranes, overhead charges, labour amenities labtesting and tidal effect charges including all lead lift charges, royalty charges, loading & unloading charges, placing in position in layers using cranes, floating equipment"s, divers tools, as per drawing & Technical specifications. Each Tetrapod constitutes 2.49 cum of volume and 11.9 sq m surface area. The Tetrapods specification shall be in accordance with the Shore Protection Manual, Volume-II (1984).
