2Applying priming coat with ready mixed primer of approved brand and manufacturer at all heights over steel surfaces like structures, columns, pipes,vessels, tanks etc. as per manufacturers specifications and directions of the Engineering-in- Charge; all complete including cleaning the surface using emery papers/ Power tool cleaning such as ST-2 or ST-3 as per requirement, including all material, consumables, tools, tackles, labour etc but excludingScaffolding. Note- No. of coats mentioned in the SOR items are only indicative and contractor has to achieve rquired DFT byapplying more coats (if required) within the relevantSOR item rates.
3Inorganic Zinc Silicate primerto achive a minimum DFT of 65-75 microns (one or more coat of 65-75 micron each).
4Two pack epoxy phenolic primerto achive a minimumDFT of 300 microns (2 or more coats of 150 micron each)
5HB Polymide cured epoxy primerto achive a minimum DFT of 200 microns (2 or more coats of 100 micron each)
6HB Zinc phosphate coating primerto achive a minimum DFT of 30-35 microns (1 or more coat of 30-35 micron )
7Solvent free / high solids surface tolerant epoxy coatingto achive a minimum DFT of 350-500 microns (2 or more coats of 175-250 micron each)
8Self priming HB coating primerto achive a minimum DFT of 100- 125 microns (1 or more coat of 100-125 micron)

10HB Epoxy MIOto achive a minimum DFT of 100-150 microns (one or more coat of 100-150 Micron).
11Two pack Acrylic Poly-urethane (PU) to achive aminimum DFT of 40-50microns (one or more coat of40-50 micron).
12HR aluminium / Silicone Aluminium paint 120 - 200 degree C to achive a minimum DFT of 40 microns (Twoor more coats of20 micron each).
13Two pack epoxy phenolic 120 - 200 degree C to achive a minimum DFT of 300 microns (Two or more coats of 150 micron each).
14HR aluminium / Silicone Aluminium paint above 200 degree C to achive a minimum DFT of 40 microns (Twoor more coats of 20 micron each).
15Glass flake epoxy to achive a minimum DFT of 200- 500 microns (One or more coats of 200- 500 micron each).
16Surface cleaning to Sa 2-1/2 Swedish Specification by Grit/shot blasting (extra over St-2 / St-3 cleaning) by using abrasive materials of size range 16 to 30 (~0.6to 1.2 mm) mesh like copper grit / shot etc as per relevant standard and direction of Engineer-in-Charge on steel surfaces like storage tanks, columns, vessels,exchangers, chimneys, steel structures and other flat surfaces including pipelines of 350 NB and above diametersin position at all heights including allmaterials, equipments, tools and plants,consumables, labour etc complete in all respect as directed by Engineer-in-charge but excluding cost of scaffolding. Compressed Air shall be in the scope of contractor (Contractor will have to make his own arrangement forcompressor etc. for arranging required air for blasting).
17Finishing walls with Acrylic Smooth exterior paint of required shade-New work (Two or more coat applied @ 1.67 ltr/10 sqm over and including priming coat of exterior primer applied @ 2.20 kg/ 10 sqm).
18Painting with synthetic enamel paint of approved brand and manufacture to give an even shade-Two or more coats on new work.
19Re-lettering with black Japan paint of approved brand and manufacture. Note: Unit "EACH" (EA) stands for "Per letter per cm height".
20Extra Charges for Industrial Painting of steel surface using boom lift (in place of scaffolding), complete including hire charges of boom lift, driver/ operator, consumables like desiel etc and as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. Item of scaffolding shall not be operated for the locations where this item is operated.
21STEEL SCAFFLODING (MATERIALS IN CONTRACTOR"S SCOPE) The job includes supply of all scaffolding materials, transportation to work site, erection of scaffolding at site covering the areas specified as per ISMS-1007 safety standards and dismantling scaffolding after completion of job and taking away the scaffolding material including supply of all tools, tackles, consumables, labours and contractor"s supervision as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge Note: 1. For measurement in SQM: 2 (length + width) X height area covered by the scaffolding is to be taken. 2. Scaffolding measurement to be done by breaking the height into parts as per height slab mentioned below and adopting respective rates against mentioned height slabs
