The polish shall then be applied by a pad of woolen cloth covered by a fine cloth. The pad shall be moistened with polish and rubbed hard on the surface in series of overlapping circles applying the polish sparingly but uniformly over the entire area to give an even surface. A trace of linseed oil on the face of the pad faciliatates this operation. The surface shall have uniform texture and high gloss. |
