Tender For Repair / Maintenance Of External Electrical Infrastructure And Connected Items In Domestic And Technical Area Including Lca Area-2 M&L for removing of 160 Watt flame proof lights along with hanging iron rods fixed in sun shelters by disconnecting the electric cable connections and re-fixing in same sunshelter but, other locations by necessary fixing arrangements like welding/clamp/nut bolt etc duly connecting with electric supply and testing complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-In- Charge. (Total Sunshelters - 06 Nos) 3 Note for item No 2 :- The following items are deemed to be inclusive of quoted rate :- 4 (a)The above job shall be carried out by a trained electricians only 5 (b)The rate quoted for shifting of all lights in one Sun shelter shall be considered as on Job. Each sunshelters provided with 16 Nos flame proof lights 6 (c) Each sun shelters have approx. height of 10 meter and the ceiling of each sun shelters have provided with anti- bird net. For removal of lights, anti- bird net may be removed and kept without any damagefor re-fix after the fixing of lights. The contractor has to consider the above aspects while quoting the rate. The quoted rate shall deemed to be inclusive for removing and re-fixing of the anti- bird net if necessary and nothing extra shall be admissible on this account. 7 (d) Necessary T&P, Safety Belt, Vehicle, Aluminium Ladder, cranes etc. shall be arranged by the Contractor and Cost for the same shall deem to be included in the Quoted Unit Rate 8 (e)All safety measures and provn of all safety devices, first aid box etc shall be provided by the contractor.Contractor will be solely responsible forfull safetyof the persons deployed for providing the services and department will have no liability for any type of accident/injury of any type. Unit rate quoted will be deemed to include the cost of the same and no extra payment shall be made on this part. 9 (f)All type of T & P, PVC insulation tapes, minor nuts/ bolts/ washers etc required shall be provided by the contractor without any extra cost to department. 10 (g)Additional cables required if any shall be measured and paid seperately under relevent item here in after. 11 Supply onlyPVC insulated Copper Conductor Cable 1.5 Sqmm, single Core Round flame proof Flexible cable for connection of flame proof lights, complete all as specified and as directed. 12 M&L for periodical servicing / maintenance of 150 Watt High bay lights fixed in Hangars on quarterly basis including checking of loose connections tightening of loose nut bolts if any and cleaning and testing complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-In- Charge.(Total Hangers - 05 Nos) 13 Note for item No 12 :- The following items are deemed to be inclusive of quoted rate :- 14 (a)The above job shall be carried out by a trained electricians only 15 (b)The rate quoted for servicing of all lights in one Hangers shall be considered as on Job. The payment shall be made on quarterly basisonly after testing of all lights in each sun shelter satisfactorily by the Engr-in-charge. 16 (c) Each sun hangers have approx. height of 12 meter and the ceiling of each hangers have provided with anti- bird net. For the servicing of the lights, the anti- bird net may be removed and kept without any damagefor re-fix after the fixing of lights. The contractor has to consider the above aspects while quoting the rate. Documentary proof of the education of tradesman shall be produced, before commencement of work. 73 (ii) The afore said test will be carried out in presence of user and MES representative.(iii) Two Party (consisting 2 x 1 No. Technician with 2 x 1 No. Helper) will report every Morningat 9 AM to JE E/M for Daily earth testing. 74 (iv) They will testEarth Resistance Every Day ( not more than 10 Nos earthing/day) in presence of user & MES rep and willrecord it in prescribed format , same will be put to Engineer-in-Charge,JE E/M duly signed by user & MES rep on very Next Day, failing which a Sum of Rs. 100.00 per Day will be recovered from the Contractor. 75 (v) Earth Resistance Tester will be provided by the Contractor. (Tester should be calibrated from Authorised Company/ Lab). 76 (vi) Contractor will be responsible for pouring of water in the Earth Pits Weekly at their own arrangement with Water Tanker, etc. (water will be provided by the contractor at his own arrangement and nothing extra will be admissible). 77 (vii) Checking of Earth Pits existing and improve it by watering / adding a layer of Salt/ Magnesium Sulphate/ Charcoal, etc. 78 (viii) Contractor will be responsible for marking of Earth check date and due date on existing Plate with paint as specified by Engineer-in-Charge. 79 (ix)Contractor will be responsible for cleaning of bushes and grass all around upto 1.50 Metre Area of existing Earth Pit with tightening of Strip. 80 (x)EP No should be mentioned on individual earth pits and ER value of installation etc all as specified and directed by Engr In Charge. 81 (xi)It will be the responsibility of the contractor to liase with Station authority to obtain security pass as per station rules for entering/ working in high security tech area. 82 Checking of any breaking in the link of earth strip wire of Galvanised/Copper/Aluminium Strip any size and jointing them by Exothermic Welding or Brazing including taking down old unserviceable one, complete all as specified and as directed. 83 Attending unserviceable/ non-functional street light complaints (for street light/perimeter lights/high mast light/flood light etc of any type/size fitted on poles/walls/post/pillars etc)by deploying technically qualified and experienced technicians to find out defective/taking out unserviceable parts such as electronic driver, PVC insulated copper conductor cable for connecting street light fittings etc and repairing by changing the defective parts including minor repair to cable connection/loose connection, screws, nuts & bolts and insulation tap to insulate the LT joint etc and testing complete all as specified and as directed for domestic area of old Kalpa colony, new Kalpa colony, Mehra colony, MAP qrts, Akash enclave, Gulmohar enclave, Kiran enclave, MES colony, AFWWA, various connecting roads and other facilities such as shopping complex/ various institutes/ messes/ play ground, complete perimeter etc located in complete domestic area andtechnical area at AF Station Sulur 84 Note for item No 83 :- The following items are deemed to be inclusive of quoted rate :- 85 (a)The above job shall be carried out by a trained electrician having ITI in electrical, documentary proof of the education of tradesman shall be produced before commencement of work. 86 (b)Supply only items to be delivered/ supplied to AGE E/M store yard as per qty asked by Engineer-in-Charge with in one calendar month from the date of commencement of contract and these items will be issued from AGE E/M store yard for attending unserviceable/ defective street light complaints. 87 (c)Contractor or his Authorised Representative has to inspect all Street/ Security Lights on Daily basis at their own arrangement between 7.00 PM to 9.00 PM and maintain the record in Register which will be put up to Engineer-in-Charge/ JE on the very Next day. 88 (d) A Joint Inspection for Serviceability of all Street/Security Lights will be carried out from 7.00 PM to 9.00 PM on every MONDAY by Engineer-in-Charge/ JE (E/M)/ User along with Contractor or his authorised Representative. 89 (e) Contractor has to arrange own moveable Generatorof suitable capacity for repairing and testing of the Street/ Security Lights, defect rectification of Cables, etc. and to check the serviceability after repair.No Electricity shall be provided by the Department on this account. 90 (f) Quoted Unit Rate shall deemed to be inclusive of attending any breakdown of Street/ Security Lights during night. Contractor has to arrange Electrician and Helper and all necessary T&P and Equipments to remove the breakdown. Fault will be intimated through Telephone/ SMS. 91 (g)In case of any delay in attending the complaint more than 12 hrs after handing over routine/urgent work, the contractor shall be liable to pay the penalty as described in penalty clause given here as under. 92 (h) The penalty shall be applicable to the contractor if the delay is noticed by the Engr-in-Charge more than twelve hrs after handing over works of urgent nature to the contractor. The Engr-in-Chargeshall handover the slip containing specification of work to the contractor by lodging the time and signature of contractor be obtained on slip.The contractor shall attend the complaint immediately and shall report to Engr-in-Charge with in 12 hrs. The contractor will keep his tradesmen in stand by for attending any routine / urgent works from the executive.If the nature of job is such that the work cannot be completed within period of 12hrs then the facts shall be brought to the notice of the GE/Engr-in-Chargeand the period for the working to the complaint shall be decided by the GE/EIC. If the delay is more then twelve hrs period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs 50/- per job shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor. Please note that this penalty is exclusively other then the condition 56 of IAFW - 2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall be enforce above as and when delay in individual job is noticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the Dept.The decision of the Accepting Officer is this regards shall be final and binding. 93 (j) Contractor has to ensure serviceability of all Street/ Security Lights of DOMESTIC & TECHNICAL AREA on Daily basis in any Weather Condition at their own arrangement. 94 (k)Contractor shall provide conveyance to the deployed labour for maintaining the services without any extra cost to department. 95 (l)Vehicle mounted ladder for maintaining services shall be provided by the contractor at no extra cost to department. 96 (m) Materials requiredfor the repairing of the lights shall be measured and paid separately under respective item(s). But labour required for taking down, dismantling, repairing and replacing parts and reinstalling and testing the street lights fittings shall deemed to beincluded in the rate quoted. 97 (n)Necessary T&P, Safety Belt, Vehicle, Aluminium Ladder, etc. will be arranged by the Contractor and Cost for the same shall deem to be included in the Quoted Unit Rate. 98 (o)All safety measures and provision of all safety devices, first aid box etc shall be provided by the contractor.Contractor will be solely responsible forfull safetyof the persons deployed for providing the services and department will have no liability for any type of accident/injury of any type. Aluminium self supporting ladder/bamboo ladder, bucket, soap powder, cloths etc and the quoted rate shall be deemed to be inclusive for the above. 136 (ij) Contractor has to ensure serviceability of solar street light panel of DOMESTIC & TECHNICAL AREA on Daily basis in any Weather Condition at their own arrangement. 137 (iii)Contractor shall provide conveyance to the deployed labour for maintaining the services without any extra cost to department. 138 (iv)Vehicle mounted ladder for maintaining services shall be provided by the contractor at no extra cost to department. 139 (v)Necessary T&P, Safety Belt, Vehicle, Aluminium Ladder, etc. will be arranged by the Contractor and Cost for the same shall deem to be included in the Quoted Unit Rate. 140 (vi)All safety measures and provision of all safety devices, first aid box etc shall be provided by the contractor.Contractor will be solely responsible forfull safetyof the persons deployed for providing the services and department will have no liability for any type of accident/injury of any type. Any minor repairs/ materials is deemed to be included. 163 S & F Factory Made RCC 1:2:4 (20mm graded stone aggregate) in Slab/Pit Cover 350x350x50mm in size, reinforced with and including 10mm dia TMT Bars @ 100mm Centre to Centre in both ways, complete including taking down existing one all as specified and as directed. 164 Removing existing unserviceable earthing system and Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of maintenance free chemicalearthing system comprising 17mm dia copper bondedrod 3 mtr long horizontally pre welded T-terminal rod with provision for connection size of 50 x 150mm long, 6mm thickness with equal space either side, with 12mm dia hole of 02 numbers each on either side of the terminal clamp with 250 microns (average) coating thickness, tested and certified by CPRI India alongwith 50 Kg earth energizer compound and 10 litres earth resistance reducingliquid. The earthing energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be tested as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTM G57-06, CI 3.4 A by any NABL accredited lab. The above mentioned rod shall be installed in 8-10 inch bore, 12 feet depth with a distance of minimum 3 meters between each installation. 165 The quoted rate shall also deemed to be included the following :- (i)Prior toinstallation of maintenance free chemicalearthing, soil resistivity test to be carried out at the location where earthingwork to be donein presence of Engr-in- Charge/JE (E/M),user and the report has tosubmitto Garrison Engineer with recommendation of manufacturer, if required additional interconnection ofearthing (not more than 04 number of earthing) to achieve earth result less then 1 Ohms. The arrangement done for soil resistivity testingandsubmission of report with recommendationdeemed to be included in the quoted rate. 166 (ii) The description/ size/ qty of items mentioned in above are for indicating only however qty/ size may vary at site condition to maintain the earth resistance 1 ohm. The contractor shall quote rate by considering all factors. 167 (iii) Rateofearth energizer compound of 25 Kg of 02 bags and earthresistance reducingliquid 10 litre per cane for each pit deemed to be included in the quoted rate. 168 (iv)Resistivity of earth energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be certified by any NABL accredited lab carried out as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTMG57-06, CI-3.4A and the certificate of same shall be submitted by the contractor before commencement of work. 169 (v) Earth enhancing material should not leach into the adjacent soil or underground water channels and its PH valve should be in neutral range complete all as specified and as directed. It should solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete. 170 (vi) Copper strip of size 20 x 3 mm shouldbe fixed on proper post insulator at the instrument end ( The rate of earthing strip up to7.5 Mtrs is included in the quoted rate). 171 (vii)Testing of earth shall be carriedout in presence ofdepartmental and user representativeand report shall be submitted to Garrison Engineer duly signed by all concern. 172 (viii)Earth resistance tester will be provided by the contractor.Tester should be calibrated from authorised company/ lab. 173 (ix)Earthing shall be tested after completion of work by the contractor in presence of Engr-in-charge, user and proper record shall be maintained duly signed by all concerned.After testing if the desired earth resistance of less than 1 Ohm is not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to Govt. till desired result is obtained. 174 (x) The contractor shall given a written guarantee of minimum three years for maintaining the earth resistance less than 1 Ohm after certified date of completion. 175 (xi) No further maintenance or periodic watering or recharge shall be required in earthing during its guarantee period of over 03 years in all type of soil including dry or rocky soil. 176 (xii) During the guarantee period, if earth resistance is not maintained less than 1 ohm the contractor has to redo or rectify at no extra cost to Govt till desired result is maintained. 177 (xiii) A security deposit of value equal to 2.5 % of the rate quoted for chemical earthing per each earthing shall be retained from payment due to the contractor for the guarantee period. 178 (xiv) The electrode shallcarry manufacturers name . 179 (xv) The connection clamp shall be permanently welded to the copper bounded rod to avoid any kind of connectivity loss. The pre-welded copper bounded rod shall not need any additional clamp for termination. 180 (xvi) The acceptable earth resistance at earth busbar/ test point shall not be more than 0.1 ohm. 181 (xvii)The contractor shall submit CPRI India certified document for copper bonded rod to ensure genuinity of material. 182 (xviii) Sign boardof mild steel 2 mm thick duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxideZinc chrome primer showing result of earthing should be fixed near the earth pit after completion as directed by engr -in- charge. 183 (xix)Earth work such as auguring andmaking good the surrounding area shall carried out in any type of soil. 184 S & F in repairs Earth pit cover madeof heavy duty poly plastic of high grade polypropylene tested and certified by any NABL accredited lab for load bearing capacity not less than 9.2 tonnes with top dia not less than 250mm, bottom dia not less than 330 mm and height not less than 260 mm dia for each electrode pit complete all as specified and directed. 185 Note for Item No 184 :- The contractor shall submit load bearing capacity certificate from the manufacturer. 186 Supply and fix IP 66 Thermoplastic PC- GFS Polycarbonate weather-proof Junction Box size 255L x 205B x 112D MM with plain walls for cable entries to be drilled individually, system voltage : 415V, 50hz,The plain side walls on the four sides can be drilled and customized for cable entries from any direction. The quoted rate shall deemed to be inclusive for removing and re-fixing of the anti- bird net if necessary and nothing extra shall be admissible on this account.

12	M&L for periodical servicing / maintenance of 150 Watt High bay lights fixed in Hangars on quarterly basis including checking of loose connections tightening of loose nut bolts if any and cleaning and testing complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-In- Charge.(Total Hangers - 05 Nos)
13	Note for item No 12 :- The following items are deemed to be inclusive of quoted rate :-

15	(b)The rate quoted for servicing of all lights in one Hangers shall be considered as on Job. The payment shall be made on quarterly basisonly after testing of all lights in each sun shelter satisfactorily by the Engr-in-charge.

For the servicing of the lights, the anti- bird net may be removed and kept without any damagefor re-fix after the fixing of lights. 17	(d) Necessary T&P, Safety Belt, Vehicle, Aluminium Ladder, cranes etc. shall be arranged by the Contractor and Cost for the same shall deem to be included in the Quoted Unit Rate
18	(e)All safety measures and provn of all safety devices, first aid box etc shall be provided by the contractor.Contractor will be solely responsible forfull safetyof the persons deployed for providing the services and department will have no liability for any type of accident/injury of any type. 74	(iv) They will testEarth Resistance Every Day ( not more than 10 Nos earthing/day) in presence of user & MES rep and willrecord it in prescribed format , same will be put to Engineer-in-Charge,JE E/M duly signed by user & MES rep on very Next Day, failing which a Sum of Rs. 100.00 per Day will be recovered from the Contractor.
75	(v) Earth Resistance Tester will be provided by the Contractor. (Tester should be calibrated from Authorised Company/ Lab).
76	(vi) Contractor will be responsible for pouring of water in the Earth Pits Weekly at their own arrangement with Water Tanker, etc. (water will be provided by the contractor at his own arrangement and nothing extra will be admissible).
77	(vii) Checking of Earth Pits existing and improve it by watering / adding a layer of Salt/ Magnesium Sulphate/ Charcoal, etc.
78	(viii) Contractor will be responsible for marking of Earth check date and due date on existing Plate with paint as specified by Engineer-in-Charge.
79	(ix)Contractor will be responsible for cleaning of bushes and grass all around upto 1.50 Metre Area of existing Earth Pit with tightening of Strip.
80	(x)EP No should be mentioned on individual earth pits and ER value of installation etc all as specified and directed by Engr In Charge.
81	(xi)It will be the responsibility of the contractor to liase with Station authority to obtain security pass as per station rules for entering/ working in high security tech area.
82	Checking of any breaking in the link of earth strip wire of Galvanised/Copper/Aluminium Strip any size and jointing them by Exothermic Welding or Brazing including taking down old unserviceable one, complete all as specified and as directed.
83	Attending unserviceable/ non-functional street light complaints (for street light/perimeter lights/high mast light/flood light etc of any type/size fitted on poles/walls/post/pillars etc)by deploying technically qualified and experienced technicians to find out defective/taking out unserviceable parts such as electronic driver, PVC insulated copper conductor cable for connecting street light fittings etc and repairing by changing the defective parts including minor repair to cable connection/loose connection, screws, nuts & bolts and insulation tap to insulate the LT joint etc and testing complete all as specified and as directed for domestic area of old Kalpa colony, new Kalpa colony, Mehra colony, MAP qrts, Akash enclave, Gulmohar enclave, Kiran enclave, MES colony, AFWWA, various connecting roads and other facilities such as shopping complex/ various institutes/ messes/ play ground, complete perimeter etc located in complete domestic area andtechnical area at AF Station Sulur
84	Note for item No 83 :- The following items are deemed to be inclusive of quoted rate :-
85	(a)The above job shall be carried out by a trained electrician having ITI in electrical, documentary proof of the education of tradesman shall be produced before commencement of work.
86	(b)"Supply only" items to be delivered/ supplied to AGE E/M store yard as per qty asked by Engineer-in-Charge with in one calendar month from the date of commencement of contract and these items will be issued from AGE E/M store yard for attending unserviceable/ defective street light complaints.
87	(c)Contractor or his Authorised Representative has to inspect all Street/ Security Lights on Daily basis at their own arrangement between 7.00 PM to 9.00 PM and maintain the record in Register which will be put up to Engineer-in-Charge/ JE on the very Next day.
88	(d) A Joint Inspection for Serviceability of all Street/Security Lights will be carried out from 7.00 PM to 9.00 PM on every MONDAY by Engineer-in-Charge/ JE (E/M)/ User along with Contractor or his authorised Representative.
89	(e) Contractor has to arrange own moveable Generatorof suitable capacity for repairing and testing of the Street/ Security Lights, defect rectification of Cables, etc. and to check the serviceability after repair.No Electricity shall be provided by the Department on this account.
90	(f) Quoted Unit Rate shall deemed to be inclusive of attending any breakdown of Street/ Security Lights during night. Contractor has to arrange Electrician and Helper and all necessary T&P and Equipments to remove the breakdown. Fault will be intimated through Telephone/ SMS.
91	(g)In case of any delay in attending the complaint more than 12 hrs after handing over routine/urgent work, the contractor shall be liable to pay the penalty as described in penalty clause given here as under.
92	(h) The penalty shall be applicable to the contractor if the delay is noticed by the Engr-in-Charge more than twelve hrs after handing over works of urgent nature to the contractor. The Engr-in-Chargeshall handover the slip containing specification of work to the contractor by lodging the time and signature of contractor be obtained on slip.The contractor shall attend the complaint immediately and shall report to Engr-in-Charge with in 12 hrs. The contractor will keep his tradesmen in stand by for attending any routine / urgent works from the executive.If the nature of job is such that the work cannot be completed within period of 12hrs then the facts shall be brought to the notice of the GE/Engr-in-Chargeand the period for the working to the complaint shall be decided by the GE/EIC. If the delay is more then twelve hrs period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs 50/- per job shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor. Please note that this penalty is exclusively other then the condition 56 of IAFW - 2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall be enforce above as and when delay in individual job is noticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the Dept.The decision of the Accepting Officer is this regards shall be final and binding.
93	(j) Contractor has to ensure serviceability of all Street/ Security Lights of DOMESTIC & TECHNICAL AREA on Daily basis in any Weather Condition at their own arrangement.
94	(k)Contractor shall provide conveyance to the deployed labour for maintaining the services without any extra cost to department.
95	(l)Vehicle mounted ladder for maintaining services shall be provided by the contractor at no extra cost to department.
96	(m) Materials requiredfor the repairing of the lights shall be measured and paid separately under respective item(s). But labour required for taking down, dismantling, repairing and replacing parts and reinstalling and testing the street lights fittings shall deemed to beincluded in the rate quoted.
97	(n)Necessary T&P, Safety Belt, Vehicle, Aluminium Ladder, etc. will be arranged by the Contractor and Cost for the same shall deem to be included in the Quoted Unit Rate.

104	(u) Any Materials replaced which are not specified in SCHEDULE OF CREDIT will be deposited to MES STORE YARD without any extra Cost to the Department.

135	Note for Item No 134:- (i) The contractor shall be responsible for arrange necessary conveyance vehicle, Aluminium self supporting ladder/bamboo ladder, bucket, soap powder, cloths etc and the quoted rate shall be deemed to be inclusive for the above.
136	(ij) Contractor has to ensure serviceability of solar street light panel of DOMESTIC & TECHNICAL AREA on Daily basis in any Weather Condition at their own arrangement.
137	(iii)Contractor shall provide conveyance to the deployed labour for maintaining the services without any extra cost to department.
138	(iv)Vehicle mounted ladder for maintaining services shall be provided by the contractor at no extra cost to department.
139	(v)Necessary T&P, Safety Belt, Vehicle, Aluminium Ladder, etc. will be arranged by the Contractor and Cost for the same shall deem to be included in the Quoted Unit Rate.
140	(vi)All safety measures and provision of all safety devices, first aid box etc shall be provided by the contractor.Contractor will be solely responsible forfull safetyof the persons deployed for providing the services and department will have no liability for any type of accident/injury of any type. Unit rate quoted will be deemed to include the cost of the same and no extra payment shall be made on this part.

164	Removing existing unserviceable earthing system and Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of maintenance free chemicalearthing system comprising 17mm dia copper bondedrod 3 mtr long horizontally pre welded T-terminal rod with provision for connection size of 50 x 150mm long, 6mm thickness with equal space either side, with 12mm dia hole of 02 numbers each on either side of the terminal clamp with 250 microns (average) coating thickness, tested and certified by CPRI India alongwith 50 Kg earth energizer compound and 10 litres earth resistance reducingliquid. The earthing energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be tested as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTM G57-06, CI 3.4 A by any NABL accredited lab. The above mentioned rod shall be installed in 8-10 inch bore, 12 feet depth with a distance of minimum 3 meters between each installation.
165	The quoted rate shall also deemed to be included the following :- (i)Prior toinstallation of maintenance free chemicalearthing, soil resistivity test to be carried out at the location where earthingwork to be donein presence of Engr-in- Charge/JE (E/M),user and the report has tosubmitto Garrison Engineer with recommendation of manufacturer, if required additional interconnection ofearthing (not more than 04 number of earthing) to achieve earth result less then 1 Ohms. The arrangement done for soil resistivity testingandsubmission of report with recommendationdeemed to be included in the quoted rate.
166	(ii) The description/ size/ qty of items mentioned in above are for indicating only however qty/ size may vary at site condition to maintain the earth resistance 1 ohm. The contractor shall quote rate by considering all factors.
167	(iii) Rateofearth energizer compound of 25 Kg of 02 bags and earthresistance reducingliquid 10 litre per cane for each pit deemed to be included in the quoted rate.
168	(iv)Resistivity of earth energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be certified by any NABL accredited lab carried out as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTMG57-06, CI-3.4A and the certificate of same shall be submitted by the contractor before commencement of work.
169	(v) Earth enhancing material should not leach into the adjacent soil or underground water channels and its PH valve should be in neutral range complete all as specified and as directed. It should solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete.
170	(vi) Copper strip of size 20 x 3 mm shouldbe fixed on proper post insulator at the instrument end ( The rate of earthing strip up to7.5 Mtrs is included in the quoted rate).
171	(vii)Testing of earth shall be carriedout in presence ofdepartmental and user representativeand report shall be submitted to Garrison Engineer duly signed by all concern.
172	(viii)Earth resistance tester will be provided by the contractor.Tester should be calibrated from authorised company/ lab.
173	(ix)Earthing shall be tested after completion of work by the contractor in presence of Engr-in-charge, user and proper record shall be maintained duly signed by all concerned.After testing if the desired earth resistance of less than 1 Ohm is not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to Govt. till desired result is obtained.
174	(x) The contractor shall given a written guarantee of minimum three years for maintaining the earth resistance less than 1 Ohm after certified date of completion.
175	(xi) No further maintenance or periodic watering or recharge shall be required in earthing during its guarantee period of over 03 years in all type of soil including dry or rocky soil.
176	(xii) During the guarantee period, if earth resistance is not maintained less than 1 ohm the contractor has to redo or rectify at no extra cost to Govt till desired result is maintained.
177	(xiii) A security deposit of value equal to 2.5 % of the rate quoted for chemical earthing per each earthing shall be retained from payment due to the contractor for the guarantee period.
178	(xiv) The electrode shallcarry manufacturer"s name .
179	(xv) The connection clamp shall be permanently welded to the copper bounded rod to avoid any kind of connectivity loss. The pre-welded copper bounded rod shall not need any additional clamp for termination.
180	(xvi) The acceptable earth resistance at earth busbar/ test point shall not be more than 0.1 ohm.
181	(xvii)The contractor shall submit CPRI India certified document for copper bonded rod to ensure genuinity of material.
182	(xviii) Sign boardof mild steel 2 mm thick duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxideZinc chrome primer showing result of earthing should be fixed near the earth pit after completion as directed by engr -in- charge.
