The height of the mast from base upto top of head frame shall be 38 Mtrs. The Plate Thickness of main shaft should be top: 10 mm middle:10mm and bottom: 10mm. Top section Dia 450mm and Bottom dia 1050mm. 8Mtr Head frame thickness 5mm with top dia 450mm Bottom Dia 450mm. The mast has been designed considering base wind speed as per IS 875 i.e. 39m/s. The mechanical and electrical systems are generally conform to the requirement of ILE TR, No. 7. The highmast shaft is in polygonal shape, continuously tapered sections having dimensions and thickness as required in the design made from high tensile steel confirming to BSEN 10025 grade S 355. The shaft is attached to the flange using full strength butt welds with supplementary gussets provided between bolt holes. All steel work is generally galvanized to BS EN ISO 1461 or other standards agreed in contract. For the environmental protection of the mast, the entire fabricated mast shall be hot dip galvanised internally and externally in single dip having a uniform average thickness of 85 microns for plates more than 5 mm and 70 microns for 5 mm and less thickness. The mast structure shall be suitable to sustain an assumed maximum reaction arising from a wind speed as per IS 875 (three second gust), and shall be measured at a height of 10 metres above ground level. The design life of the mast shall be 25 years. The force co-efficient taken for design of the twenty sided polygonal structure is to be established from the wind tunnel test data. High mast must have 2 no. LED aviation obstruction light complete with all accessories, lightning Finial, head frame consists of working platform, ladder, cross arm for fixing luminaries as required.
