20Excavation in trenches in any type of soil not exceeding 1.5 metre wide and not exceeding 1.5 mtr in depth and getting out soil including forming bottom surface to required slope/gradient forlaying cables/pipes etc.all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge including removing cable protection PCC covers/ bricks & stacking serviceable covers / bricks for reuse and disposal of unserviceable covers within 50 metre complete all as specified and directed.Note : (i) Excavation shall be made carefully in order to avoid damage of existing cables and protection covers. (ii) The excavation work may be carried out in short lengths for locating fault in under ground cables at different locations.
21Returning, filling in (soils) including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc25 cm thickafter the cables etc. are laid, jointed and tested complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
