| 15 | SCH A PART-II( ARBORICULTURE)GREEN DOUBLING OF TIFFTUFF GRASSConstruction and formationof Green areas after excavating manually by cutting and filling the earth to the designed contour levels and subsequent rolling and compaction to meet the requirement of respective area in following stages:-(a)SHAPPING OF GREEN:- Once the Engineer in charge marks off the shape and contour of the new putting green, the construction process begins. Contractor use a variety of heavy equipment to construct putting green, relying on skilled operators to carefully follow the architect/engineer\"s design. Specialized surveying equipment and digital mapping technology helps contractor implement the puttinggreen design with precision and efficiency(b)EXCAVATION:- Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means over areas (of depth 375mm to 400mm) including disposal of excavated earth lead upto 50m and lift upto 1.5m, in hard/dense soil disposed earth to be leveled and neatly dressed.(c)HERBICIDES APPLICATION:-Providing herbicide application by mechanical sprayer with Glyphosate (Roundup, Casonova make) 500g (active) / per liter water mix applied at 2 liter/per hectare and / or as manufacturer\"s specification and slashing in works areas for weed control, as directed by engineer-in-charge.(d)SUBGRADE PREPARATION:- Proper construction of the subgrade is critical to the success of a USGA putting green. The subgrade should be shaped to match the general slope of the finished grade and must be smooth and firm, with no water-holding depressions. Subsurface drainage systems quickly remove excess water from putting greens. Place main drain pipes along the lines of maximum fall. Extend lateral drain pipes, spaced not more than 15 feet apart, to the putting green perimeter. All drain pipes should have a minimum continuous slope of 0.5 percent. Install perimeter drains immediately adjacent the cavity wall in low-lying areas.(e)GRAVEL LAYERS:- Supply and filling of average 2 to 12mm gravel stone aggregate up to a depth of 75mm and uniformly spreading the same to cover the subgrade with light compaction as directed by engineer-in-charge(f)ROOTZONE BLEEDING / ROOTZONE MIX:- Supplying and filling of USGA Root zone Mix sand of specified grading upto a depth of 300 mm with necessary compaction by watering and rolling, leveling with a level lawn or flat bedded rake in Greens.
