Structural Audit Of Bldg No P-49 & P-60 At New Chitral Line In The Area Of Age Br-Iii Under Ge ( West ) Delhi Cantt-10.; 1 Preparation Ofdetailed Project Report Including Recommendation Of Repair Methodology / Specification And Detailed Estimate To Ensure Further Safety Life Of The Building 2 Consultancy For Rehabilitation And Restrengthening Of Bldg No. P-49 & P-60 At New Chitral Line Which Includes :- 3 Condition Survey ( Visual Inspection ) Visual Inspection Of Residential Buildings By Walk Down / Survey Of Entire Structure From Inside And Outside And Recording Of Parameters Like Cracks, Spalling Of Concrete, Water Seepage, Corrosion Of Reinforcement, Any Anamalies In The Building Structural System With Respect To General Engineering Practices, Any Settlement Of Floors Or Surronding Of Bldgs Etc, And Submitting The Observations In The Final Report. It Includes The Measurement And Assessment Of Visible Damages, Visible Deviations And Deformations Like Cracks, Distress, Surface Damages, Flaking, Discoloration. Local Weaknesses, Settlements Etc, Visual Inspection Shall Largely Cover Areas Of High Distress, Abnormal Variations In Structure And Would Be Documented In The Form Of Worksheets, Photographic Records, And Distress Over Drawings ( If Available ) 4 Condition Assessment ( Ndt / Pdt ) : Objective Of The Condition Assessment Is To Estimate The Extent Of Deterioration Of Durability And Strength With Respect To The Design Requirements And Technical Specification. This Assessment Is Done For The Building Components By Carrying Out Following Non Destructive Tests At The Required Sample Locations. 5 ( 1 ) Rebound Hammer Test : For Determining The Estimated Compressive Strength Of Concrete And Uniformity Of Concrete In Terms Of Surface Hardness As Per Is 13311 ( Part-2 ) -1992. ( Approx Test Location 200Nos ) . 6 ( 2 ) Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity ( Upv ) : For Ascertaining The Quality Of Concrete ( Core And Cover ) , Soundness And Density Of Concrete, Uniformity Of Concrete In Terms Of Density As Per Is 516 ( Part 5 Sec 1 ) 2018, Using Surface Velocity Methods At Required Location For Cover Concrete And Cross Direct Tranmission Method For Core Concrete ( Approx Test Locations : 200Nos ) 7 ( 3 ) Concrete Core Compressive Strength Test : Extercting The Concrete Core Sample At Selete Locations From Rcc Members Of The Structrue Covered Under Study And Evaluating Compressive Strength Of Concrete In The Laboratory From The Core Samples Seleted As Per Is 456:2000; Is516 1959, Is1199:2002; Without Encountering Any Steel Reinforcement In The Rcc Members At Specified Locations ( Approx Text Location : 36Nos ) 8 ( 4 ) Concrete Eletrical Resistivity Test : Conducting Eletrical Resistivity Test For Estimation Of Likelihood Of Corosion Based On Electrical Resisitivity Values. 3Condition survey (visual inspection) Visual inspection of residential buildings by walk down/survey of entire structure from inside and outside and recording of parameters like cracks, spalling of concrete, water seepage, corrosion of reinforcement, any anamalies in the building structural system with respect to general engineering practices, any settlement of floors or surronding of bldgs etc, and submitting the observations in the final report. It includes the measurement and assessment of visible damages, visible deviations and deformations like cracks, distress, surface damages, flaking, discoloration. local weaknesses, settlements etc, visual inspection shall largely cover areas of high distress, abnormal variations in structure and would be documented in the form of worksheets, photographic records, and distress over drawings (if available)
4Condition Assessment (NDT/PDT): Objective of the condition assessment is to estimate the extent of deterioration of durability and strength with respect to the design requirements and technical specification. This assessment is done for the building components by carrying out following Non Destructive tests at the required sample locations.
5(1) Rebound Hammer Test : For determining the estimated compressive strength of concrete and uniformity of concrete in terms of surface hardness as per IS 13311 (Part-2)-1992. (Approx test location 200Nos).
6(2)Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV) : For ascertaining the quality of concrete (core and cover), soundness and density of concrete, uniformity of concrete in terms of density as per IS 516 (Part 5 Sec 1) 2018, using surface velocity methods at required location for cover concrete and cross direct tranmission method for core concrete (Approx test locations : 200nos)
7(3)Concrete Core compressive strength test : Extercting the concrete core sample at selete locations from RCC members of the structrue covered under study and evaluating compressive strength of concrete in the laboratory from the core samples seleted as per IS 456:2000; IS516 1959, IS1199:2002; without encountering any steel reinforcement in the RCC members at specified locations (Approx text location : 36nos)
8(4)Concrete eletrical resistivity test : Conducting eletrical resistivity test for estimation of likelihood of corosion based on electrical resisitivity values. (Approx test location 60nos)
9(5))Half cell potential test:(corrosion test) : Measuring the half cell portential on concrete surface in a suitable grid/points for determining the probability of corrosion activity of embedded steel reinforcement in concrete with specified half cell eletrode in accordance with ASTM C876 (Approx test location : 30nos)
10(6) Carbonation Test : Measyrement of carbonation depth by phenolphthalein spray test at seleted location on RCC members of the structures covered under the study to see the depth of carbonation as per BS EN 14630:2006. Ratio of carbonation depth to cover depth is also measured to check the intensity of carbonation attack on steel bers by measurment of concrete cover to reinforcement bars (Approx test locations : 27nos)
11(7)Chemical analysis :Determining the total acid solude chioride content and sulphate to check the risk of corrosion due to present chloride & sulphate concentration as per IS456:2000 (Approx test no : 6nos)
12(8) pH Value (to check alkanity of concrete) : as per relevent B.S 5328, ACI 201.2R-92 and ACI -31899, IS 456:2000, BS 8110 (Approx test nos : 18nos)
13(9) Brick : Tests for compressive strength test, water absorption, efflorescence. (Approx test nos : 6nos)
14(10)Test on cement mortar : Determination of ratio of the morter joints of Bricks. (Approx test nos : 6nos)
15(11)Slab Load Test : Load carrying capacity analysis and deflection measurement of any kind of slab of building as per IS456:2000 (Approx test nos : 3nos)
16(B) AS-Built Drawings Preparation : Preparation of school drawings (floor plans and elevations) of as built structure of school buildings for audit purpose.
17(C)Structural Analysis : Preparation of structural elements sketches and drawing (as built) at site with dimensional and Reinforcement details and carrying out structural of the building/elements as required
18(D) Evaluation, Final Report & Certification: Evaluating and determining the adequacy of a structure for its intended use by analyzing the information and data assembled from reviews of existing documentation, condition survey and condition assessment. Preparing and submitting comprehensive report consisting of findings from visual inspection, test data, structural analysis data and interpretation of results, conclusion of the study, recommendations for structure improvement and certification of structural safety of the buildings.
19Note :-As per BoQ of subject work is already drafted, so the remady recommended by the consultant should only consist of items as :- (a) PMM (b)Grouting Injection. (c) Micro Concretting /Jacketting. (d) Water Proofing. (e) Dismantelling & recostruction of Slab, Beam, Column etc.
