The supplier shall dispatch UTM after completion of PDI and acceptance by the VSSC personnel. 28 Installation, Commissioning and training: Installation at the identified location at VSSC, Trivandrum, Kerala, India. Any civil works needed are to be clearly provided by the supplier after placement of purchase order. Supplier shall submit a preliminary layout of the machine installation based on the specifications. The party shall inform logistic requirements at site required for installation of the equipment well in advance. Any other requirements needed for installing & commissioning the machine shall be clearly brought out by the supplier. The system shall be installed in our site by the supplier and all operation, maintenance and calibration procedures shall be fully demonstrated. After installation of system at VSSC, the supplier shall demonstrate all specified features of UTM. Training shall be covered on all aspects including, operation, test software, calibration and maintenance (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics) of the system. Adequate training to be provided to three identified personnel at VSSC for free of cost. Power requirements: Power requirement for the machine shall match the Indian power supply system, i.e., 230V/ 430 V± 10 %, 50Hz. 29 Calibration: After installation, the party shall be responsible for one time calibration of the entire system at our site. The machine shall be calibrated for load cell both tension & compression modes, cross head displacement, cross head speed & extensometers as per relevant standards. Calibration shall meet the accuracy class requirements specified in the relevant standards. Valid Calibration certificates for all the transducers shall be provided with traceability to national/international standards. Calibration procedure shall be given by the party for periodical calibration of the UTM. Specimen size and test matrix will be finalized based on mutually agreement between party and VSSC. All the necessary specimens will be provided by VSSC for demonstration. The equipment will be accepted after successfully demonstration of at least 1 each tests, test software, report generation, exporting of test data. 31 AMC: AMC and breakdown charges to be quoted for at least 3 years from the expiry of warranty. Availability of trained manpower in India for servicing during warranty & AMC period. The contractor shall carry out two half yearly AMC preventive maintenance visits at regular intervals. Any number of breakdown visits as and when required during each year shall also be attended. AMC preventive maintenance work shall be carried out by the party as per the manufacturers procedure during VSSC normal working hours. The scope of work includes general cleaning of the system, moving parts check, adjustment and lubrication of mechanical and moving parts, control electronics check, electrical check, grip maintenance, extensometer functional check, control maintenance, testing etc. 32 Safety requirements: Total safety of the system shall be ensured by providing proper safety interlocks. Safety measures/ provisions to prevent accidental movement of crosshead should be provided. Emergency off switch at safe reach of operator. Software limit for all important parameters. Limits for cross head position (Electrical and Mechanical). Overload relays to prevent the electrical system from overloading.
