| 7 | M&L for cleaning thoroughly internally RCC overhead tank of the following capacities at 40 feet height/staging (max) at different locations by pumping out the accumulated water at the bottom using dewatering arranged pump set, removing the complete silt/sludge by suction process using either suction/vacuum pump, cleaning the walls, ceiling & floor using high pressure water jet to completely dislodge all the mud, dirt, algae, fungus & layers of calcinations, spraying anti-bacterial agent/food contact sanitizers to the walls, ceiling & floor of the tank to make it sterile & finally emitting UV rays into the tank using UV radiator to take care of any further suspended bacteria etc. which might have remained in the tank & applying one coat of white wash to all surfaces of walls & ceiling & two coats of acrylic emulsion weather proof paint externally after preparation of the external surfaces. The steel surfaces such as vent pipes, inlet/outlet/wash-out pipes, ladders inside & outside of the tank shall be provided with two coats of anti-corrosive bituminous paint & writing the details of OH tank capacity, date of tank cleaning, next due date of tank cleaning on the tank wall with white paint over black base/background with height of the letters not less than 15 cms complete all as specified and to the entire satisfaction complete all as specified and directed. |

(iv) The entire work of cleaning/disinfection/UVfication of the tanks is to be got performed from the pioneers in this field taking into consideration the human consumption aspect. Details/credentials of the firms/teams from whom the Contractor wishes to get the work executed is to be submitted in advance for approval of the same. Decision of the Engr-in-Charge in this regard shall be final & binding.(v) The Contractor is to submit in writing the tentative schedules/dates for cleaning/disinfection/UVfication of the tanks for approval of the same from Engr-in-Charge. There may be instances when the Dept won\"t be able to hand-over a particular tank for the subject work/job due to any reasons on the approved/scheduled dates.(vi) The silt/sludge is to be removed to a distance not less than 50 mtr away from the tank area.(vii) The complete work of cleaning/disinfection/UVfication of the tanks is to be carried out in the presence of the JE/MES rep & a register to this effect has to be maintained by the Contractor wherein entries w.r.t. Date & Time of Start/Completion of the work /job shall be entered & duly signed by both the Contractor/Rep & Dept Rep for payment purposes. |
