| 1 | Excavation in hilly area inordinary rock not requiring blasting by mechanical means including cutting and trimming of slopes and disposal of cut material with a lift upto 1.5 m and lead upto 20 m as per Clause 1603.2. and MORD specification including carriage of all labour equipment and materials to various location of site through all modes of transportations in all lead, lift and all incidental charges. all work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erossions, damage to hill side, water pollutions etc. and to protect stability of hill side rock work shall be executed with chiseling, wedging out rock, where blasting is prohibited).All earth work in excavation including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber super elevations and leyels as shown on the drawing or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Stacking of materials useful for construction at suitable site and safe disposal of unserviceable cut material in specified manners, trimming, filling of unevenness blindages and finishing of the road to specified dimensions as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. If the foundation of the structure is in an area with stagnant water or water is met with in the excavation due to spring seepage rain and other cases, it shall be removed by the suitable diversion, bailing out or dewatering as directed and the area of the foundation or embankment shall be kept dry. The recovery of useful stone that is 370.80 cubic meterin all cases falling which recovery @ Rupees 300/- only (Rupees three hundereedonly) per cubic metre shall be effected on prorata basis. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of execution shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases. |
