Note: (i) Unit rate quoted shall include the provision of bitumen, at 4.0% by weight of the total mix. No price adjustment shall be admissible if excess quantity of binder content (bitumen VG-30) is used/approved in the execution of work under this item. (ii) Area should be calculated on Simpson"s rule & volume should be calculated on Prismoidal Formula. (iii) Priming/Tack coat will be measured and apid separately. |
| 5 | Material and labour for bituminous premixed semi-dense asphaltic concrete 40 mm consolidated thicknesswith 5.5% binder (paving bitumen VG-30) content by weight of total mix, spread evently with mechanical paver to desired thickness and to the correct camber, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with using 8 to 12 Tonne power rollercomplete all as specified and as directed by Engr - in - Charge. Note:- (i) Premix SDAC shall be produces from Hot mix plant. (ii) Minimum binder content shall be 5.5% by weight of total mix. However, in case more than 5.5% binder content is required as per design mix, the same shall be provided by the contractor at no extra cost. |
| 6 | M&L for preparing & cleaning new/existingblack bitumenous surfaces of roadby removing all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc. with coir brushes or other means as requiredand applying 2.5 mm thick thermoplasticroad marking paint using an applicator machine to form traffic strips such as lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc. with surface application of reflectorising glass beads as per manufacturer instructions complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- The road marking paint shall be conform to BS 3262 Part-I & II of 1989. |
| 7 | Supply and fixing in repairs Cat eye raised pavement marker of size 100 x 100 x 20mm made of polycarbonate body consisting of retro reflective micro prismatic though polycarbonate lens as approved by AGE (I).The studs shall be fixed to the Road surface using the adhesive conforming to IS, as per procedure recommended by the manufacturer complete all as directed by Engr-in-Charge. |
