126Construction and commissioning of water treatment plant 0.15 MLD Capacity in shape of Rapid sand filter bed and allied unit :- The scope of work includes the construction of 0.15 MLD Capacity water treatment plant capable to treat the raw water of the quality specified in the basic design data to produce clear water as per the requirement of CPHEEO manual on water supply and treatment and as specified in basic design data. The water treatment plant shall include the construction of inlet chamber, raw water tank, presetting tank, Parshall flume, Flash mixer, alum solutiontanks and dosing arrangement flocculator settling tanks, rapid sand filter complete with back wash arrangement, clear water tank, complete disinfection arrangement with bleaching power, Elector Mechanical equipment piping values mechanical /electrical equipment electric wiring & panel board, sanitation, floodlights interconnection paths, site development up to a minimum of 3m from edge of battery limit of plant i/c retaining and breast walls and fencing. The firm shall submit the detailed hydraulic and structural design and drawings (6 copies) for each component of treatment plant which shall be approved by the department before the work is started. The design/drawing and bearing capacity of soili/c detailed survey and investigation of the mechanical /electrical equipment & wiring etc. along with manufactures specification /design also be submitted for approval by the department on the completion of all civil, mechanical and electrical works the contractor shall test run the plant for three months (90 days) before handing over the same to the department at the cost of the contractor. However, electrical charges shall be borne by the department .During this periods the contractor shall run the plant at full rated capacity and produce the results specified in the NIT as per the CPHEEO standers in the presence of Engineer –in –Charge.
