2Laying, jointing and testing in trenches (to level or grade) ofGMS pipes jointedwith 1% joint flanged & remaining butt weld 99% joints of below diametreconforming to IS 1239-1990 (Part - I) with latest upto date amendments of grade and wall thickness as specified below, suitable to withstand required hydraulic test pressure in randum length 4m-6m with plain ends and jointed with MS Flanges conforming to IS 6392-1971(Latest upto date amendments) and welding of flanges as per IS 816-1969 with electrodes as per IS 814-1991 including required number and size of MS nuts and bolts as per IS 1369-1967 and compressed asbestos fibre jointing gaskets sheet not less than 3.00 mm in thickness as per IS 2712-1998. The welding of flanges to be done on both faces in two layers to make the joints leak proof and toentire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.The laying of pipes conform to IS 5822-1994 and as per CPHEEO manual and will include all operations such as cutting, welding and jointing including flushing, cleaning and hydraulic testing complete in all respect. Excavation in trench, providing & welding of M.S. Flanges and butt welded joint shall be measured and paid for seperately. (Labour rate)

4Providing, laying, jointingand testingin trenches bevelled ended BIS marked GMSERW pipes of various grade fully Buttwelded conforming toIS/ISO:3183-2007, L210 or A of below mentioned grade in item as per dimensions, weight and test pressure mentioned there in code (mill tolerances to be restricted within 3%) in random lengths of6 to 7 mtrs including the cost of fabrication of bends by butt welding from parent tube as required at site. The welded joints and welding of pipe will be down as per IS:816-1969 with electrodes as per IS:814-1991 of make Adwani/Orelon (Adore)/ESAB. 41Providing and fixing double flanged 125 mm piping work layout to be approved by the Engineer-in-Charge for suction and delivery pipes suitable to pump(s) offered and common header as per the rising main respectively complete with all specials such as bends ,tees reducers/ increasers with companion flanges matching with the relevant specifications of the accessories as indicated in the drawing No.2 including rubber/asbestos gasket of minimum 3mm thickness as per IS 2712-1979 and required number of nuts and volts as per IS: 1364-1983. The pipes shall be as per relevant IS Code and to withstand 1.5 times total head stipulated under item No.1.

The pump should be fitted with free flow impellers of bronze/suitable alloys directly coupled to squirrell case electric induction motor of same make as (manufacturer standard) conforming to BIS: 9283-1979 (latest with upto date ammendments ) and totally water prrof for submersible duty, isolated from the pump by intermediate casing with double mechanical seal in oil chamber, grease packed lubricated bearing & provided with stainless steel thrut bearing plate to with stand vertical loads with minimum wear & tear. It should also be fitted with a device to take up expansion of water with the heating of motor including water level guard errection clamps, manufacturer cable clips & depth gauge etc. The pump shall be suitable for operation on data given below:-

65Supply of PVC joint less flat water proof cable as per IS: 694-1990 latest with upto date amendments suitable for the pump sets offered from CB to motor including all other electrical equipment / accessories such as thimbles, flexible pipes solder, nuts and bolts, cable glands etc laid in pipes of trenches under floor. The type, size and make will be subject to approval of HPSEB authorities & in case of non acceptance by HPSEB authorities it shall have to be replaced bytender.
66Providing and laying double loop earthing with G.I. wire & G.I plate complete with material such as charcoal, common salt, GI. Pipes, thimbles, nuts and bolts, digging of pits, GI.
