1General Notes Applicable to all BOQ Items
21) The make/model/brand for all the BOQ items shall be as per suggestive makes of Annexure-B of Section-VII of the tender document. The make/model/brand mentioned in Annexure-B of Section-VII of the tender document is merely for guidance and bidders can prefer any other make which is meeting technical specifications given under Section-V and Schedule of Quantities of Tender document and shall confirm to the relevant BIS codes and other relevant codes. However, the bidder may suggest any equivelent make/ model/brand meeting technical parameters on or before pre-bid conference for approval of BARC(V).2) Only sieved river sand/crushed stone sand confirming to Zone-II from Godavari river or Varaha river orVamsadhara river or Sarada river or Nagavali river / Crushed stone sand shall be used as fine aggregate and Graded hard broken granite metalof 3 stage (VSI) material shall be used as coarse aggregate in relevant items. Specification for fine and coarse aggregate shall confirm to IS:383 (latest revision)3) In view of limit on water-cement ratio for durability requirements in design mix concrete, concrete admixtures (Carboxylate based superplasticizers) can be used after taking prior approval of Engineer-in-Charge and the rates quoted for concrete items shall be inclusive of the cost of admixtures, Design mix, trial mixes, testing (at site & at approved labs), etc. complete. 4) Thecontractor shall set up sufficient number of self loading mobile concrete mixers inside the project area for the production of concrete.
35) Contractor may also be allowed to procure concrete from prior approved RMC plants on prior approval of the BARC subject to maintain required slump at site during pouring.To that extent suitable Mix Design should be carried out with required retention period. No extra payment will be made if concrete is brought from RMC plants outside the project area. 6) Manufacturer\"s Test certificate of cement which is procured fromdealer/company is to be submitted for all cement related works by the contractor.7) The Scope of works which are not included in any specific items but indicated in the document \"General Scope of all works\" shall be within the scope of overall contract works. The cost of work/item/material indicated in this document shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates of all individual items. 8) The quoted rates shall include necessary royalties, seigneiorage charges,etc. and all other charges to supply all the required construction materials.
49) For all standards and code of practices, specifications, like Indian Standard, MORT&H, ASTM, etc. refer onlylatest revisionsincluding all applicable amendments, revisions and additional publications (during contract period) and these have to be followed. 10)Prior approval for source of all construction materials by submission ofrelavent test certificates, documents, invoices etc. have to be taken from BARC.11) All the tests mentioned in Quality Assurance Plan(QAP) should be carried out without any extra cost.12) The contractor has to submit all royalty /seigneiorage slips,etcfor all the naturally available construction materials before submitting the RA bills.
5EARTH WORK EXCAVATIONNote : The rate quoted for earth work excavation by contractor is deemed to have included the following points (a) to (g)a) removal of all kinds of vegetation, small shrubs, light/heavy jungle, trees etc., alongwith roots, including disposal/stack in the identified location. b) shoring, strutting, stepping, dressing, grading requiredfor keeping the earth in position on sides of trenches with approved timber/steel accessories wherever necessary to prevent sides from falling including bailing or pumping out of water if necessary including removal of debris/unserviceable materials and excavated excess soil, if any.c) dewatering of both ground and surface water, including removal of slurry generated while excavation and keeping the area free from water, to be let out of the building area through proper pipes & channels if required by suitable pumps,d) watering, ramming and thoroughly consolidate the bottom of all excavations & ground before the construction of foundation/footing/plinth beam, filling in basement or other work is commenced.
6e) the loose pockets shall be excavated and compacted after back filling as directed by Engineer-in-charge, as per detailed specification and conforming to safety rules during progress of the work. f) Backfilling will be done in layers of thickness as specified below.g) cost of items shall include all labour charges, hire charges of machinery, lubricants, fuels and tests etc.
7Earth work excavation in following depths by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means in foundation, in all types of soil other than soft and hard rock, dressing the sides of foundation, ramming of bottom of foundations etc. including shoring, struttingand dewatering and refilling around foundations and plinth with selected excavated earth in layersas specified below, well rammed and consolidated, including disposing the surplus earth within a distance of 200 m all complete all as per drawing,Technicalspecificationsand as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
8From 0.00m to 1.5m below average GL with refilling of excavated earth in layers of not more than 250mm each layer
9From 1.5m to 3.0 m below average GL with refilling of excavated earth in layers of not more than 250mm each layer
10Supplying, spreading & leveling clean River Sand (zone I or II) in required thickness over ground surface, brought from outside sources, including prepareation, cleaning and leveling of existing ground srface, all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.Note: Payment will be made as per actual site measurement.
11PCC, RCC & FORM WORKNote: 1) The mix shall be desiged to maintain the desired slump (as required at site/specified in IS code). 2) Rate quoted for RCC items shall include cost of relevant design mix and testings.3) This item is applicable for all PCC and RCC structural elements like footings, beams, columns, slabs, lintels, chajjas, walls etc., for all heights and leads. 4) Form finish F3 shall be provided to all exposed surfaces of the concrete.
12Providing and laying in position cement concrete of 1:3:6 (1 cement, 3 riverCoarse river sand/ crushed stone sand, 6 graded stone aggregate of maximum size 20 mm)including consolidation, finishing curing etc. complete all as per drawings andtechnical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge but excluding the cost of form work shuttering, centering all as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
13Providing and Laying design Mix Reinforced Cement Concrete of M30 Grade by weigh Batching using graded stone aggregrade of 20mm max size and coarse river sand crushed stone and quality approval including handling&transportation scaffolding,mechanical mixing,placing to required location by hoisting or pumping& Mechanical Vibration consolidation finishing curing hacking of concrete surfaces whereever required etc; at all levels and height.Note Minimun Cement Content shall be 390kg/cum
14Providing, centering, shuttering Form work using steel plates, timber planks for all types of structures including necessary strutting, proping, staging, supports, bracings etc. and deshuttering the same after the specified time all as per drawings, specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge at all levels and heights.
15Notes for Reinforcement steel: 1) 1.2mm dia annealed GI coated (20 micron to 40 micron) binding wire required for the work will have to be supplied by the contractor at their own costand will not be measured for payment. 2) Fe-500D / Fe-500EQR bars as per IS to be supplied by the contractor.3) Reinforcement bars from conversion agents / re-rollers of above manufacturers,will not be accepted. 4) No extra payment will be made on account of Rolling Margin & wastage.5) Contractor shall supply copy of the documentry evidence of purchase of steel, test certificate from these manufacturers and also test from third party to be carried out at no extra cost.
16Providing Reinforcement steel of all diameters for reinforced cement concrete at all levels. including supplying, preparation of bar bending schedules, cutting, bending, transporting to all elevations, placing and keeping in positions,all leads, fixing, tieing with 1.2 mm dia annealed GI coated binding wireincluding all labour charges, cost of cover blocks (in same grade of concrete) of various thicknesses and sizes etc. all as per drawings andtechnical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
17Providing and constructing 100/150/200/230mm (or as directed)thick masonry at all elevations with Fly ash/ FAL-Gbricks (confirming to IS 12894) having minimumcrushingstrength 60 Kgs/Sq.cm and water absorption of maximum20%, in cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 rive sand/ crushed stone sand) uniformly mixed in machine with \"non-shrinking compound\"as per manufacturer‘s instruction of approved brand, including pointing,rakingout joints, curing, cleaning, including using double legged scaffolding at all heights, depths and leads, etc., all as perdrawings, Technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.Note for flyash bricks:The mix shall consist of ordinary portland cement content of not less than 20% (preferably) of the mixture consisting of Fly ash, OPC and Gypsum or any variation in proportion of design mix shall be submitted to BARC for approval. The Anhydraous Gypsum, Fly Ash, Cement, Crusher dust and other materials shall confirm to the relevant IS codes. The Anhydrous Gypsum shall be procured from a reputed source approved by the department. Roller mixer shall be used for good homogeneous mixing.
18Providing 15 mm thick plain internal plastering in cement mortar 1:4 (using river sand) finished smooth, including sieving of sand to required fineness, preparation of the surface, using double steel tubular scaffolding, curing etc.,complete all as per Technical specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
19Providing 20 mm thick External plastering in two coats under layer 12 mm thick with cement mortar 1:4 (using river sand) finished with a top layer 8 mm thick in cement mortar 1:3(using river sand) admixtured with Water proofing admixture @ 2% by weight of cement used (in both layers) and as per manufacturer\"s specifications, sieving of sand to required fineness, using double tubular steel scaffolding, finishing, curing etc. complete all as per Technical specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
20Notes: 1) Structural steel required for the work shall not be supplied by the Department.2) Structural steel confirming to IS 2062 shall be supplied from their own plants rolled from virgin materials to be procured directly or from their authorised dealers and test cerificate to be produced.3) The contractor shall supply documentary evidence of purchase of steel, Test certificate from approved manufacturers and also third party testing from approved laboratories with out any extra cost.4) Measured weight is including welding weights, connections, bolts and nuts for payment but the cost of which shall be deemed to have been included in the rates.5) Holes to be drilled only by Drilling machines and gas cutting of holes are not permitted.6) Rate inclusive of all consumables like gas, welding electrodes and tools and tackles etc. 7) The Liquid Penetrant Inspection shall be carried out in 1% of the total joints and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge without any extra cost.
21Providing Structural steel work using all section viz. angles, channels and other sections, welded and / or bolted in built up sections for trusses , structural steel floors, frame worksand other structures including supplying, cutting, welding, fabricating, hoisting, fixing in position, applying a priming coat of approved steel primer etc. Cost includes providing and fixing/anchoring Bolts, Nuts, base plates to the concrete to support verical memebers. Weight of fabricated structural member and plates shall be measured for payment. Complete all as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer in charge
22Providing and fixing GI chain link fabric fencing Made of GI wire of dia 4mm of required width in mesh size 50x50 mm including strengthening with 2mm dia wire or nuts, bolts and washers as requeid complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.
23Designing, providing and fixing of 4 mm thick approved shade Aluminium Composite Metal Panel cladding at different locations including soffits of over-hangs and including aluminium frame work with grids filled in with weather silicon sealant as per the drawings. The ACM panel composition shall be of 0.5 mm thick PVDF coated aluminium sheet + 3 mm thick low density polyethelene virgin resin core + 0.5 mm thick polyester (PVDF) coated Aluminium sheet all complete as per approved shop drawings and specification
24Providng and fixingMS Grill with frame with M.S. flats, square or round bars etc including priming coat with approved steel primer,and to the pattern / design specified in the drawings or by the Engineer-in-charge, complete all as per specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
25Providing, fabricating, fixingof MS sheet factory finished (matt/gloss finished) doors and shelves for wardrobes using minimum 1.6 mm thick sheet. Paining with two coats of enamel (using spray gun) over one coat of zinc chromite primer. cost including all labour and materialincluding nessary hinges,locks and handels etc.,complete as perdrawings and Technical specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge .
26FLOORING WORKS NOTES:The contractor shall submit all samples to the department for approval and no work shall commence before such samples are duly approved.
27Providing and laying (IPS Flooring) cement concrete flooring 1:2:4, using crushed sand 50mm thick finished smooth to the required level, finishing with afloating coat of neat cement including cement slurry ,providing and fixing 25X3 mm aluminium strip,curing,cleaning the surface neatly at the time of handing over the area complete as per specifications and drawings as directed by the Engineer in charge.
28Providing and fixing of 17mm thick machine cut, mirror polished Jet Black Granite stone/Galaxy/Dark Brown/ equivalent range and shade approved granite stone (moulded and polished)of approved quality to flooring, dado, skirting, Wall clading, cill, wash basin counter top, vanitiy counters, Lab platforms etc.,to be fixed with approved epoxy adhesive over cuddapah slab, exposed faces & edges to be rounded / chamfered, joints treated with white cement mixed with matching pigment, epoxy touch ups, including rubbing, curing, moulding / Bull Nosing and polishing the edges to give high gloss finish, all junctions shall be sealed with approved silicon sealant, including required drilling, cutting of holes, providing of Stainless Steel (SS) pins, anchors, clamps etc. complete at all heights and leads all complete as per Technical specificationsspecifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge.Note : supportiing brickwork alongwith plastering, cuddapha/rcc slab if any will be paid under relevant item.
29Providing and fixing (Satin/Satin Matt finish/glossy) VITRIFIED tiles of size upto and including600mmx600mmx 8mm thick for flooring/wall dado/skirting conforming to IS 15622 of approved colour and shade laid over a bed of minimum 20mm thick bed of cement mortar 1:4 (using coarse river sand/ crushed stone sand) make a total thick ness of 30mm including thickness of tile. Cost including hacking, cleaning and preparing the surface for bedding, spreading neat cement slurry prior to bedding, fully buttering cement paste on back, fixing to required line, level,including chasing the walls to obtain the desired projection for fixing of skirting tile,joints to be cleaned and grouted with matching colour of approved qualityepoxy tile grout, curing, cleaning, etc. complete as per patterns, drawings and as per Technical specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
30Providing and fixing Colour anodized (of 20 micron thikness) aluminium work for doors, windows, ventilators, Alu Louvers and partitions etc. with extruded built up standard tubular sections / Z Sections and other sections confirming to IS 733 and IS 1285 fixed with rawl plugs and stainless steel screws or with fixing clips or with stainless steel expansion hold fastners including necessary filling up of gaps at junctions, at top, bottom and sides with required PVC / neoprene felt etc. Aluminium sections shall be smooth, rust free, straight, mitred and jointed mechanically where ever required including cleat angle, Aluminium snap beading for glazing / panelling, C.P brass / stainless screws all complete as per architectural drawings and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge including providing and fixing hinges / pivots and making provision for fixing of fittings wherever required including the cost of PVC / neoprene gasket required. The work shall be carried out complete as per approved shop drawing andthe relavent portion of specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
31NOTES FOR PAINTING WORKS:Allexternal/internal painting works will have to be done with erecting double tubular steel scaffolding only. No jhoola/Bhada shall be permitted. All rates quoted in the above painting itemsshall include erection of double tubular scafolding and provision of safety measures like safety belts, eye protection gears, etc.
32Providing and applyingsynthetic texured plaster over external plastered / concrete surface to the thickness on minimum 2mm, to the pattern / design specified in the drawings or by the Engineer-in-charge, complete all as per specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
33Providing and applying painting on surfaces of walls in two coats on new work with premium acrylic emulsion paint of approved brand to give an even shade, including a coat of approved cementprimer, including preparation of the surfaces, scaffolding complete. as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge
34Providing and Painting two coats of synthetic enamel paint on steel surfaces (cupboar shelve/any specified locations) of approved brand and manufacture to give an even shade over a primer coat including preparation of the surfaces, scaffolding complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge
35Providing and fixing 12 mm thick pre-laminated particle board flat pressed 3 layer (Prelaminated particle board with decorative lamination on both sides) or graded wood particle board conforming to IS 12823 Grade-I, Type - II in panelling fixed in aluminium doors, windows, shutters and partition frames with C.P Brass / Stainless steel screws etc. complete as per architectural drawings and directions of Engineer-in-charge

44Supplying , cutting to shape and fixing 90 mm diameter UPVC pipes in RR Masonry/ RCC walls for weep holes complete all as per drawings and as specified at site, as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
45Providing and Fixing in position Suspended false ceiling system using 600x600mm Aerated Calcium Silicate Ceiling tiles (plain/ cosmos/ spinton model) Tiles having 15mm Densified edges and 100% Humidity resistance, Incombustible as per BS476 part IV with Thermal conductivity of 0.043 w/m KC and approved surface Design and with approved edge Profile placed in a suspended Grid ofsilhoutte reveal grid system of Aerolite or equivalent with 15 mm wide flanges incorporating a 3mm central recess. The main runner and cross tees shall have mitered ends and birdsmouth notches to provide mitered crucifor junction. The main runners and cross tees shall be made of Hot-dipped G.I. steel sections having an exposed surface capping of Pre-finished baked polyester painted coil wherein the main tee of size 15mmx41mmx0.33mm (Min.) shall be suspended at 1200 mm centres securely fixed to the structural soffit by approved hangers at 1200 max. centres and not more than 150 mm from spliced joints. The last hanger at the end of each Runner should not be greater than 600 mm from adjacent wall. last along the length of ceiling with 4mm dia G.I. wire with necessary level adjusters and cross tees of size 15x41x0.33mmx1200mm shall be inserted in to slots between the main Tees at 600mm centres and thereafter in direction vertical to the longer TEEs, cross Tees of size 15x41x0.33mmx600mm shall be inserted to form a grid size of 600x600mm resting on the periphery walls on wall angles of size 22x22x3000x0.40mm thickness. Ceiling height is 6.5m and False ceiling shall be fixed at 5.3m height and rate shall be quoted accordingly.Note: The rate shall include providing necessary openings for light fixtures, diffusers, Trap doors etc. to be made as per layout Drawings. The work shall be carried out as per directions of Engineer-in-charge. The main Teesto besuspended from the ceiling/ Soffit with the help of metal dash fastners of 6mmx50mm, soffit cleats of 25mmx35mmx1.60mm and 4mm dia G.I. wire with galvanised spring steel levelling clips. the entire grid system shall be designed to bear a distributed load of minimum 15 Kgs/Sq.m etc. complete all as per drawings and specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (Only Calcium Silicate False Ceiling area will be Measured for the Purpose of Payment).
46Providing and Fixing in position Suspended false ceiling system using 12mm thick aerated Calcium Silicate plain Boards, 100% Humidity resistance, Incombustible as per BS476 part IV with Thermal conductivity of 0.043 w/m K placed in a suspended Grid of size of 600x 600mm made of Hot-dipped G.I steel sections wherein the Ceiling Sections of 0.55 mm thickshall be suspended at 1200 mm centres along the length of ceiling with 4mm dia G.I wires/ 1 mm thick Strip hangersmade of G.I sheet sections with necessary level adjusters and Inter Channelsof 0.90mm thick with connecting Clips and resting on the Periphery walls on wall angles of 0.55 mm thickness including providing necessary openings for light fixtures, diffusers, Trap doors etc to be made as per layout Drawings and as per directions of Engineer-in-charge. The rate quoted shall also include two coats of acrylic emulsion paint over a coat of primer. Ceiling height is 6.5m and False ceiling shall be fixed at 5.3m height and rate shall be quoted accordingly.Note: The rate shall include providing necessary openings for light fixtures, diffusers, Trap doors etc. to be made as per layout Drawings. The work shall be carried out as per directions of Engineer-in-charge. The main Teesto besuspended from the ceiling/ Soffit with the help of metal dash fastners of 6mmx50mm, soffit cleats of 25mmx35mmx1.60mm and 4mm dia G.I. wire with galvanised spring steel levelling clips/ GI strip hangers. 48Providing and fixing precoated Galvalume Roofing profile sheets of approved size, shape and pitch up to and including single length of 12.00 met. The sheet shall be fixed using self drilling / self tapping screws of size (5.5 X 55 mm) with EPDM seal or with polymer coated J or L hooks, bolts and nuts 8 mm diameter with bitumen and G.I. limpet washers filled with white lead complete upto any pitch in horizontal / vertical or curved surfaces excluding the cost of purlins, rafters and trusses and including cutting to size and shape wherever required as directed by the Engineer-incharge - Galvalume sheet roofing 0.50 mm Thickness in Single sheet
49Dismantling of RCC works including Cutting and stacking of steel reinforcement bars and disposal of unserviceable materials within 100 m lead as per direction of Engineer-in-charge

TATA Aria/TATA Sumo gold or suitable vehicle preferably be in White Colour with driver on hiring basis for the use of Site Engineers of BARC(V) for 6 days a week from 8:00 Hrs to 20:00 Hrs for carrying out day-to day official movement withinBARC(V) premises and Visakhapatnam City.
53Notes for above item no. 49:-1. The Vehicle shall be used by BARC(V) Engineers and departmental staff only.2. The make and Model of \"TATA Aria/TATA Sumo gold or similar vehicle \" should be of year 2021 or later for a minimum run of 1300 Kms per month.3. The rate quoted shall be for \"TATA Aria or similar vehicle\" fora minimum run of 1300 Kms run per month with Driver. 4. The actual usage shall be reckoned from UC-1 office and end there itself during official use.5. The vehicle shall be maintained in good running condition with good upholstery, fitness, good tyres and shall commensurate with the image of BARC. The tyres of the vehicles shall be replaced periodically and always with brand new tyres and not retreated ones.6. The vehicle should be free from all sorts of defects and will be subjected to inspection by a representative of BARC(V) whose decision is final and binding as regards suitability of that particular vehicle.7. The vehicle should be with a board \" ON GOVERNMENT OF INDIA DUTY\" 8. The cost of Fuel/Oil/Lubricant, maintenance of vehicle, wages of driver, all taxes, comprehensive insurance, etc. shall be payable by the Contractor and BARC(V) shall have no liability other than per day charges towards usage of the vehicle. However, toll and parking chargews if any shall be borne by BARC (V)9. The contractor should required to engage skilled driver possessing valid driving license (Preferably professional) and also submit the following documents .(a)Registration Certificate of the vehicle (b) Permanant License of the driver (c) Valid Government photo id in respect of the driver (d) Name, Address and Telephone No. of the driver (e) Comprehensive Insurance Policy and Road Tax receipts of the vehicle.
5410.The driver of the vehicle shall maintain log book supplied by BARC(V) and is required to obtain the signature of the user whenever the vehicle is used.11.Contractor is required to deploy the same vehicle as far as possible on day-to-day basis.12.No revision of price shall be entertained during the period of contract.13..In case of absence of vehicle/Driver even for a day , proportionate payment towards a day will be deducted from monthly bill besides imposing a penalty of Rs. 500/-per day.14.The charges for Extra KMS over and above 1300 KMS is fixed to Rs.11/- ( Rupees Eleven only ) per KM.15 The Contractor should have one spare driver for replacement in case of emergency, sickness etc. of the regular Driver.16 The Contractor should provide spare vehicle of same capacity immediately for replacement in case of break down etc. of the regular Vehicle.17. The contractor shall arrange adequate insurance coverage for his personnel. 18. Department shall not be responsible for any liability arising out of any accident / injury caused to the driver or any other person while executing the job. 19. The contractor shall follow minimum wages act and other rules of Government of Andhra Pradesh/Government of India applicable from time to time. 20. The cost of damages to any Government movable/immovable property in and around the BARC(V) Permises shall be entirely borne by the Contractor.
