| 3 | Tank Painting (Internal):Surface Preparation :Very thorough blast cleaning to Sa 2 ½. Mill scale, rust and foreign matter shall be removed to the extent that the only traces remaining are slight stains in the forms of spots or stripes. Finally, the surface is cleaned with a vacuum cleaner, clean dry compressed air or a clean brush.Painting Scheme:One Coat of Polyamide cured epoxy Zinc Phosphate Primer (P2),70-75 micron thickness, (Make: Berger- Epilux 13 HB/ Bombay Paints- Pentadur 8530/ Grand Ploycoats- GP Prime Guard 235/ Jenson & Nicolson- Epilac Zink Phosphate Primer/ Shalimar-Epiguard/Coromandel Prodorite-COROCRETIN-ZNP)Two coats of Solvent less HB Epoxy Liner ( F4), 500 micron (2 coats of 250 micron) -- ( Make: IOC approved) total minimum thickness (DFT)= 575 micron.Measurement shall be taken only painted surface of upper side of bottom plate, under side of roof plate & shell plate surface only. No seperate measurement shall be taken for painting of structural members, fittings, appurtenances, pipe lines, pipe supports etc.Internal Painting including cleaning of Upper side of bottom plates, inner surface of shell upto top of tank,under surface of roof and inside appurtenances including all items that are in contact with water. |
| 4 | Fixing back all the fittings, manhole covers etc, including supply and fixing of gaskets and fasterners for flange joints as directed at site and as per specification/codes. Gaskets are to be supplied by the vendor. |
| 5 | Re-Painting of External Surface(External surface of the shell and roof, and also external surface of above ground mild steel pipelines and including all fittings/structures, stairs, railings and appurtenances on shell & roof of the tank. )Surface Preparation: By Power Tool Cleaning to St 3 Very thorough scraping and wire-brushing - machine brusing - grinding - etc. Surface preparation as for St 2,but much more thoroughly. After removal of dust, the surface shall have a pronounced metallic sheen.Painting Scheme :One Coat of Red Oxide Zinc Phophate Primer [P3], 30-35 micron thickness, (Make: Berger-Bison HB Zinc Phophate Primer/ Bombay Paints- Kangaroo HBPhophate Primer/ Jenson & Nicolson- J & N High Build Zinc Phophate Primer/ Shalimar- Tuffkote HB Zinc Phophate Primer Grey). Two coats of Aluminium Finish Paint [F2], 30-40 micron (2 coats of 15-20 micron each) -- ( Make -Berger- Ferrotol HR Aluminium Paint (2 Pack)/ Jenson & Nicolson- Ferrotect HR Aluminium Paint 600/ Shalimar- Lustrol Aluminium (2 Pack)).Total minimum thickness(DFT)= 60 micron.Measurement shall be taken only painted surface of upper surface of roof plate & outside surface of shell plate only |
| 6 | Painting IOC logo and writing details of painting dates etc |
| 7 | Vacuum Box Testing of all welds of bottomplate of fire water tanks along with repairing of bottom plates. |
| 8 | Ultrasonic thickness measurement on shell plates as per applicable code and as per the instruction of site engineer. Measurement to be taken on each plate at few points on all direction. Report to be submitted with isometric drawing. Testing to be done inner as well as outer surface and bottom plate. |
| 9 | Checking and analysis of the differential Settlement/Tilting in line with the requirement of OISD-129 |
| 10 | Certification & Documentation as per relevent rules. Reports,Certificates of testing and inspection by third party approved by Factories dept. (for all tests /inspection covered in the scope of work ,in 3 three sets to be submitted. |
