NOTE :Nuts; Bolts; Double washers; Cleats shall not be measured for thepurpose of the payment but is included under the scope of work of thisitem. Rate shall be quoted in Kilograms (KG) of steel supplied by the vendor This item is for fabrication of tank structural steel for both ExternalFloating Roof and Cone Rooftanks.
3Fixing of Nuts and Bolts and Double-Washers of MS Wire Mesh (10SWG) with one inch centre to centre between wires on the hand rail at the Tank Top. This also includes providing and welding 25x3 mm thk MS strip for holding wire mesh to the bottom rail, mid rail, mid supports etc. Payment shall be done on the M2 basis of installed wiremesh.
4Fixing/Erection of hot dip galvanised MSgratings for tank spiral staircase,valve operating platforms,laddersetc.GI coating shall conform to IS 4759. The staircase steps to be welded to the tank shell through angle and notdirectly to the Tank Body. Payment shall be done on the KG (Kilograms ) basis of the fabricated steel used for gratings.
5STRUCTURALS FOR AG CONE ROOF TANK INCLUDING HAND RAIL: Fabricating,Fixing and Erection of structural steel structures required for spiral staircase including hand railing,chequered plate platform,landings,top platforms,earthing connections cleats,wind girder supports,stiffners,gussets and pad plates excluding gratings.Fixing / Erection and welding of Hand-Rail and Painter"s Bracketwith D-shackle bolts as per drawing No. S/CE/0081 is included in the scope ofwork . Supply of all consumables, labour, equipments/ machinery,tools & tackles (except B AND R Free issue materails,Equipments,Machineries, consummables as mentioned in scope of supply in SCC) required to complete the work as per drawings, scope of work and instructions of BANDR/BPCL/PDIL Engineer-in-Charge. Payment shall be done on the KG (Kilograms) basis of the steel used forgratings. Separate measurements will not be taken for nuts, bolts, washers etc for payment purpose.
6Fabrication,erection and welding of vertical tanks byjacking-up method; as per designed drawing (design is not included in the scope ofthis item) out of free issue steel plates (Bottom,Shell,Wind Girders ,Re-inforcement Pads,Backing Strips for bottom plate ,Dip Plates ,Extension Plates / Platforms etc.) The job includes : 1. Handling / shifting of steel plates meant for tank erection from storage point inside BPCL"s Project premises to the tank erection site;cutting and edge preparation of the plates as required; rolling of plates for shell of the tanks; fabrication,assembling and welding as perour standard / relevant specifications and as directed by theEngineer-in-charge. 2. Testing of tank bottoms and roof deck using vacuum box test method asper API/BPCL standards.The rate shall include all charges towards consumables such as tools and tackles,labour & machinery (except BANDR supplied Free issue materials,Equipments,Machineries, consummables as mentioned in scope of supply in SCC)required to complete the job. Including all temporary structural work and labour for completion of the job as per drawing and accounting of unused scrap material as per tender clause. 3.100 % DP testing of root runs and any other tests specified as per drawings and specifications. 4. Radiography of shell plate weld joints as per API 650 latest edition.Oil Chalk test for bottom shell joint and pneumatic test for all reinforcement pad, Ultrasonic Test (UT) for all plates, stress releiving shall be carried out by contractor. Charges for Radiography work shall be paid in seperate item rate and no seperate payment shall not be made for UT and Stress Releiving work. 5 Inspection/supervision by BANDR /PDIL/ BPCL recommended TPIA (as per list attached)and scope of work/QAP. Tank fabrication and installation shall be as per API-650(Latestedition) / BPCL standards. Rate to be quoted in KG of steel plates used for tank fabrication. Typical drawing enclosed for reference. Job includes carrying out Ultrasonic testing of steel plate as per IS4225
7Fabrication,erection and welding of Single/double Deck Pontoon Typefloating Roof with provision for adjustable counter weight (buoy) as perAPI latest edition, foam dam from free issue steel plates; and carryingout roof tests/floatation test and other requirements indicated in the specifications as per API 650(latest edition) for floating Roof Tanks. Structural steel work for temporary staging for fabrication of complete roof deck shall be in contractor"s scope and shall not be paid for seperately. However,permanent structure required for this job which are integral part of deck and pontoon shall be paid separately under other item of BOQ. Fabrication of roof centre sump with necessary cover using BPCL / BANDR supplied plates shall be covered under this item. Testing of roof shall be done as per API 650 (latest edition). 8Fabricating and fixing following Floating roof appurtenances as per enclosed specifications:- Auto bleeder assembly to permit free venting while the roof is resting on pipe supports. Design standard :API 650 (latest edition). Pipe Specification: ASTM A 106 Gr.B Sch 40 for auto bleeder vent . Typical drawing enclosed for reference, however approved fabrication drawing shall be provided prior tofabrication.
9Fabricating and fixing following Floating roof appurtenancesas per technical specifications enclosed :- Plug type Emergency drainwith water seal sump inside the roof toprevent back flow of stored product. Design standard : API 650 (latest edition). Typical drawing enclosed for reference, however approved fabrication drawing shall be provided prior tofabrication.
10Fabrication of Sleeve pipes(100 mm size sch 80) withleg support pipes(80mm size sch 80) and suitable locking pins (minimum40 mm) as per API 650 (latest edition) to support the deck to meet thefollowing minimum requirements: 1. The sleeve pipes height shall be in such a way that they will notsubmerge while the roof tests are being carried out(minimum height shallbe 3 feet). 2.The pipe supports shall be designed with regards to numbers and spacing, to support the deck for live,dead and water load as per designconditions. 3.The pipes shall conform toASTM A 106 Gr B or Equivalent. The pipe assembly shall also be provided withneoprene assembly cap tocover the gap between sleeve and leg pipes at top of the deck. All the pad plates,bearing plates and datum plates for the assemblyshall be made out of free issue steel plate supplied by BPCL / BANDR and shall be paid for separately in plate fabrication item. Pipe holes for fixing pins shall be made at two positions using machinedrilling method only,one for operating position (1.2 m from bottomplate) and other for maintenance position (1.8 m from bottom plate) asdirected at heights as per the design of the FR tank. 11Fabrication of Deck Manhole with 6 mm sleeve,manhole cover with handle ,bolting flange,reinforcement pad plate and cat ladder with ISA 65 x 65x 8 and 25 mm plain rods @ 250 c-c. Design standard : API 650 (Latest edition) Structural steel work for cat ladders will be paid separately underseperate item of BOQ. The job to be executed as per attached technical specifications, jobprocedures, drawings etc complete and as directed by Engineer in charge. Typical drawing enclosed for reference Steel plates shall be supplied as free issue material by BPCL/ BANDR Size of the deck manhole as given below : 600mm NB
12Fabrication of 500 mm nominal diameter Pontoon manholes with coverplates and handles. Pontoon Nozzles are to be fabricated as per API 650(Latest Edition). Pontoon manhole to be provided with the following arrangements : 1.Fixing suitable neoprene rubber beading/lining of 5/6 mm onthe neck of pontoon manhole with proper fixing arrangement to preventany sparking. 2.Manhole cover shall be provided with proper locking/ventingarrangement Typical drawing enclosed for reference, however approved fabrication drawing shall be provided prior tofabrication.
13Fabricating and fixing of shell manhole with neck ring,manholecover plate with handle,bolting cover flange for manhole, collar usingapproved quality M.S. bolts,nuts,3mm thk oil permeate gasket etccompleteincluding supply of all required materials, consumables (except BANDR supplied Free issue materials Equipments,Machineries, consummables as mentioned in scope of supply in SCC) and labour to complete the work as per drawings, specifications, standards,codes and instructions of BPCL/BANDR Engineer in charge Reinforcement pad with tell tale holesshall be pneumaticallytestedand the same to be filled up suitably on completion of job etc. Please refer drg no S/CE/0079. 750 mm nominal diameter shell manhole
14Fixing and providing roof drain centre sump of minimum 600 mmdiameter. The scope of work shall be inclusive of fabricating and fixing aluminiumcover plate with adeqaute number of holes for draining roof water. Plates for rolling of sump shall be provided by BPCL and aluminium platefor cover shall be supplied by BANDR. The job includes provision of double flanged nozzle including supply ofpipe ASTM A 106 Grade B and flanges 150 # conforming to ANSI B 16.5. Nozzle size shall match the size of the Articulated Drain (PIVOTMaster/Coflexip/Mesa) in any case limited upto 150 mm Typical drawing enclosed for reference, however approved fabrication drawing shall be provided prior to fabrication.
15Fabrication, erection and welding of 600 mm dia center sump of minimum 10 mm thickness conforming to API 650 (latest edition) as per the directions of Engineer In charge. Typical drawing enclosed for reference, however approved fabrication drawing shall be provided prior to fabrication.
16Fabrication & installation of expansion pipeline 25 NB MS Heavy duty SCH 80Seamless pipe : The job shall include Fabrication. laying of expansion pipeline including flanges,Tees,elbows, U-clamps from tank inlet and outlet pipes (including the spool pieces ) to the tank still well flange along with necessary structural supports on the tank. Structural supports shall be welded to the tank shell using pad plates of suitable size. The scope shall also include installation of 7(seven) flanged type plug valve(class 150, 25 NB) with companion SORF 25 NBCLASS 150 on either sideof a NRV(total 5 NRV, 25 NB) on each of the inlet and outlet of the pipe which will merge finally to a single pipe as per drawing no : Schemetic sketch for pressure relief lineenclosed with the tender. Typical drawing enclosed for reference, however approved fabrication drawing shall be provided prior to fabrication. Scope also includesinstallation of 2nos. of NRV (class 150, 25 NB) acting as siphon breakerwith companion SORF 25 NB CLASS 150 for anti-siphon arrangement at the highest point. All gaskets used for flanged joint shall be spiral mettalic gasket(Spiral wound SS 304 or higher with Grafoil as per ASME B16.20with centering ring and matching with the class of flanged joint). Payment for structural steel only shall be done in other item of BOQ. (Expansion pipeline two per tank- one for inlet and one for outlet) asper the tank heights given below:Tank Height More than 15 M UPTO 20 M
17Installation, testing, and commissioning of Tank roof drains for floating roof vertical storagetanks. The entire job to be executed as per the enclosed technical specification of job. The job shall be undertaken strictly as per OEM" recommendation and under supervision of roof drain manufacturer"s representative.The roof drain manufacturer shall certify the job that has been undertaken in accordance with their recommendations and fit for use for design period of minimum 10 years. Bidder shall be responsible for inspection and certification for all items,commisioning check by OEM at BPCL project site. The details of the roof/shell appurtenances and other relevant detailswill be furnished to the successful bidder. Contractor to fix150 Class CS check valve (of the size of pivot joint) in the above item on deck sump. NRV shall be pressure tested at 10.5kg/cm2 prior to installation. Scope of work includes the following which shall be paid in seperate items of BOQ : 1.Fabrication,welding and erection of ASTM A 106 Grade B SeamlessPipe (Minimum SCH 40) for roof drain system. 3.Welding of necessary companion flanges for pivot master 4.Fixing of Metallicspiral gasket(Spiral wound SS 304 orhigher with Grafoil as per ASME B16.20with centering ring and matchingwith the class of flanged joint.) 5.Fixing of SS studs/nuts as per the recommendation of PivotMaster Manufacturer. Size of the pipe shall not exceed 150 mm. The scope of work to be completed as per standard specificationsattached with the tender including hydrotesting of pivot joint at specified test pressure . Size of the pivot joint as given below : Pivot Size 6 Tank Heightmore than 15 m upto 20 m
18Fabrication, erection, assembly, welding, testing of Self levelling rolling ladder with riser/runner steps and pipe handrailing along with landing platform, hot dip galvanised self adjusting steps etc.complete. Contractor to note the following : 1.The rolling ladder to have steps with riser/runner, not of monkey typeladder. 2.The wheel of ladder to move on channel not on angle iron to avoidfalling on deck while movement. 3.Rollers are to have brass lining with proper pins 4.All holes are to be drilled and not gascut. Typical drawing enclosed for reference, however approved drawings shall be provided priorto tofabrication. During hydrotesting taking levels of the tank w.r.t TBM after everyfilling of 1 Mtr is also in vendors scope. Arrangement for necessary pumping for filling the water in tank shall also be made by contractor including manpower, tools,tackles, decantingwater from tank and disposal of water by contractor outside the BPCLpremises irrespective of any lead is in vendors scope.Water shall be of potable type. For hydrotesting, necessary closing and opening of valves, boxing up of manholes are also in scope of this item. After hydrotesting, manholes will be opened to clean the tankand complete the exercise of diesel swabbing for the shell surface whichis not painted. Boxing up will be done using SS304 or higher Spiralwound Mettalic gasket of champion or equivalent make for which no extrapayment shall be made. All the neccessary arrangements to be done for filling water inside thetank shall be covered under this item including temporary supply offlanges, fittings, gaskets, stud bolts, pipes, etc. The payment for this item will be done after successfull hydrotesting of the tank. NOTE: In case of any leaks observed during any of the above testscontractor shall decant the water up to 300 mm below the leak, repair the leak and again testthe tank by filling the water to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge. Contractor shall repeat the process till all the leaks are rectified.

56Testing and Inspection: Inspection of welding by Radiography Method on all types,sizes,thicknessof plate (Bottom,Roof,Shell welding joints) including processing ofFilms and interpreting the same to the Engineer-In-Charge together withrecommendation of sub-contractor as to the acceptability of otherwise ofthe welds; submitting the finished radiographic films as may be approvedor directed by Engineer-In-Charge including supply of all personnel,labour ,materials ,equipments ,consumables,radiographic films and otherinputs and providing all service complete in all respects as required toperform the work as per specification and instructions ofEngineer-in-Charge. NOTE : (I)Payment shall be done on the running metre of the film of respectivesize. (II)Repeat radiography of the individual weld due to defective films orrepair of welds shall be done at Contractors cost. Scope of the job includes carrying out spot radiography of shell jointsusing gamma ray as detailed in API650 & Appendix A / technical specs. Radiography shall be done as per BPCL technical specifications/API 650enclosed with the tender. Rate shall be paid in Running Metre of the length of the film
57CALIBRATION OF A/G CONE ROOF TANK (Supply of water for hydrotestingis not in vendors scope) Calibration ofAG Tank using Strapping table method or optical methodas approved by Engineer in charge. 86STRUCTURALS FOR UNDERGROUND/ABOVE GROUND HORIZONTAL STORAGE TANK: Fabrication,erection,welding and assembling of steel structure such as external ring,stiffeners,pad plates etc including cost of labour,consumable liand providing all machinery; welding sets toolsand tackles (except BANDR supplied Free issue materials)required for erection;providing temporary scaffolding and labour for completing the job as per BPCL standard drawing ,specifications and instructions from Engineer in charge. Rate shall be paid in KG of steel structure used.
87Hydrotesting of the underground strorage tank before lowering in thepit at 5 psi with water including cost of water, temporary connection ,hammering,disposal of water aftertesting etc. complete as directed byEngineer in charge. Making necessary arrangements for hydrotesting of the tank,filling thetanks with water and decanting after successful hydrotesting,cleaningthe tank and rectification of leaks if any and retesting the tanks incase of leak complete. Any defects detected during testing shall be made good by contractor at his cost.
88Shifting,handling,lifting,placing and lowering the tanks in pit,placing in position, fixing all fittings; including cost for labour ,equipments (except BANDR supplied Free issue materials,Equipments,Machineries, consummables as mentioned in scope of supply in SCC) required for shifting/lowering the tanks in pit etc complete.Any damage to the tank during the shifting shall be rectifiedby the vendor. Excavation and backfilling of tank pit shall be paid in seperate item of BOQ.Tank shall be installed in slope as directed by Engineer in charge. Size of the tank as mentioned below upto 20 KL

91MECHANICAL JOBS TESTING AND CALIBRATIONU/G TANK : Carrying out calibration of Underground storage horizontal tanks usingwater meter as per requirements of W&M/CPWD/PWD ( any competentauthority )including all necessary instruments,hardware material ,preparing calibration charts,paying necessary statutory fees andgetting the same approved by competent authority. Contractor to arrange water required for calibration and empty out waterfrom tanks as per instructions of engineer in charge after calibrationis completed. Submission of 5 set of charts duly approvedby competent Authority ( W &M,PWD,CPWD etc. ) and directedby engineer in charge Upto 100 KL Tank
92Fabrication erection and welding of tank holding downarrangement.Job includes welding of cleat angle with pad plate on the tank as per the attached GA drawing for one end of the turnbuckle and grouting the other end in the RCC foundation of the tank. Erecting holding down bolts with anchor plate, HD strapand turn buckle arrangement as per Drg.No.D-2949 (set means a pair of37mm dia x 1m long H.D bolts; a pair of turn buckles and a pair of 305mmx 305mm x 6mm anchor plates + 100mm x 12mm H.D.straps. 95Fixing cold pressed drain sump as per BPCL standarddrawing no. S/CE/001 and as per the directions of engineer in charge tofacilitate removal of product for carrying out bottom sampling as well as draining of product. Minimum thickness of plate used for sump shall be 10 mm.

No extra payment shall be made for making holes in the pipe. Tank Diameter upto 3.20m

Size of the nozzle shall be limited to 150 mm and rate to be quoted in INCH DIA for the nozzle including all overheads.
