Casing, Impeller, Back Cover Etc.The Weld Metal Should Have Good Wear Characteristics Against Erosion, Corrosion, Abrasion Due To Slurry Having Abrasive Particles Of Silica Between 8-12%. Item No. 2 Of Annexure-Vi 2.5 3.15 4.0 24 3 Low Heat Input, Should Have Suitable Arc Control Coating & High Alloy Core To Generate Ionized Arc For Spray Type Transfer Of Weld Metal. Should Have Excellent Weldability. Should Produce Controlled Grain Structure For High Strength , High Toughness And Ductility. Should Be Suitable For Combinations Of Similar And Dissimilar Steels And Joining Steels Of Difference Thickness. Should Suit To Weld Dies, Tool Springs & Cushion Laters, Joining Dissimilar Steels, Machinable Built-Up And Overlays. The Deposition Rate Should Be Very High. Deposition Recovery Should Be 150-160%. The Hard Particles Should Contain Complex Carbides And Should Be Stabilized.
