BOREHOLES (17 Nos)The following works are to be carried out for sub surface investigation report:-(a) Boring through sand/clays/soft strata from ground level to 10 m depth or depth of refusal wherever is met earlier.(b) Conductingstandard penetration test in the bore as per IS : 2131-1985 including collecting disturbed samples at every 0.5 mtr or change of strata including packing and handling all complete ,and collecting undisturbed soil samples at 1.0 mtr or change of strata including packing and handling all complete as per IS : 2132-1985. (c) Carrying out laboratory test for :-(i) Specific gravity, bulk and dry density.(ii) Grain size analysis.(iii) Natural Moisture content.(iv) Liquid and plastic limits, swelling index.(v) Shear characterstics of undistrubed samples using direct shear/triaxial shear test.(vi) Unconfined compression test.(vii) Consolidation test for consolidation properties.(viii) Chemical tests for availability of soluble chloride and sulphate.

(d) Subsurface investigation report to include clearly following parameters:- (i) Lay out of trial pits & bore holes onproposed site plan. (ii) Record of boring as per Appx \"D\" of IS 1892. (iii) Soil/Rock Properties as per detailed exploration ( Table 3 of IS 1892 and sub para vi above). (iv) Soil properties based on above field tests. (v) Evaluation of safe bearing capacity based on shear failure and settlement failure criteria(Refer IS 1904-1986),(IS 8009 Part 1 &2).Allowable bearing capacity at various depths of1.5 mtr,and 2 mtras required below GL is to be given with suggestion for economical width and type of foundation .The report shall be include detailed calculations for SBC. In case of low bearing capacity recommendation may be include bearing capacity calculation SBC & Settlement calculation for raft foundation also. (vi) Recommendation for pile with pile capacity in case weaker strata is encountered. (vii) Other relevant recommendations for foundation and improvement of soil ifnecessary. (viii) Recommendation of existing soil for backfill purpose. (e)Testing method shall be strictly in accordance to relevant IS code.Notes :(i) All the reports/results will be got vetted from any of the IIT\"s or Govt Engineering Colleges.(ii)Submission of (04) four copies of test report with detailed description for field investigation as mentioned above shall be submitted by contractor.

PLATE LOAD TEST (03 Nos) Determination of \"K\" value [ modulus of sub-grade reaction (K-value) of soil in field an accordance to relevant IS code complete all as specified and dirrected with including following operations :-(a) To determine modulus of sub-grade rreaction of soils,bearing capacity of soil. (Generally known as K-value of the sub-grade) for evalution of strength of sub grade for pavements. Plate load test shall be carried out at formation level considering pavement/building section. (b) Equipments required at site for conduting test consisting of bearing plates,loading equipments and instruments to measure the applied loads and determining the resulting settlement of deflection are as under :-(i) Bearing plate shall be 75cmx75cm of thicknesss 25mm is to be used for the test.(ii) Loading equipments consist of a dead load and hydraulic jack capacity 50 Ton (50000.00 Kg) . PCC cubes only to be used for loading the plate. No sand bag or any other such type of load shall be allowed at site for loading.(iii) settlement measurements shall be made by means of 03 Nos ( three numbers) Dial guage with onaccuracy of 0.01 mm fixed on the periphery of the bearing plate from a datum bar. The datum bar should be supported from the loaded area. (e)Testing method shall be strictly in accordance to relevant IS code.Notes :(i) All the reports/results will be got vetted from any of the IIT\"s or Govt Engineering Colleges.(ii)Submission of (04) four copies of test report with detailed description for field investigation as mentioned above shall be submitted by contractor.

1.Carrying out detailed topographical survey using digital Total station instrument marking all existing fearures, boundaries, building, carriage ways, trees, electric / telephone lines, footpath, drains sewer lines, ponds, hillrocks, marshy lands, approach road, main road etc using total station digital instruments, Including preparation of layout plan for building of Approx 5600 Sqm area marking of Bench Mark and planning and finalisation of layout for external services like drain, road, sewage etc. (Qty - 5600 Sqm)Note : Area cleaning of grass & bushes necessary for survey to be carried out as per site requirement.2.Preparation of drawings maintaining all the above parameters and with all dimension of perimeter, calculation of the land area in 3.0m x 3.0m grid interval and 0.3m contour interval, submission soft copy in CD and hardcopy in 4 sets.3.Mobilisation of men and machinery to site and return back after completion of L/S work.Note:-(i) Submission of soft copy and hard copy in four sets of report with detailed description for field investigation as mentioned above shall be submitted by contractor.
