| 1 | JOB WORK FOR SOIL INVESTIGATION FOR ADDN/ALTN TO CERTAIN OTM BUILDINGS OF 5 Sqn AT 7WG, AF |
| 2 | To carryout the test to ascertain soil profiles/ proportion to determine safe baring capacity complete with field and lab investigation according to relevant specifications of IS 2131, IS 6403, IS 1498, IS 2720. |
| 3 | Conduct of soil investigation for following: |
| 4 | (a) 150 mm diameter bore holes Depth Eight Mtr as per IS specification. |
| 5 | (i) For Soil Investigation = One Nos boreholes. |
| 6 | (ii)For CBR value= NIL Nos places. |
| 7 | (iii)For K value= NIL Nos places. If applicable markedin site plan |
| 8 | (b) Collection of disturbed and undisturbedsoil sample at interval of 1.00 mtr or at change of strata or as per relevant IS Code. |
| 9 | (c) Conduction lab test on disturbed soil samples as considered necessary according to relevant specification of IS 2720:- |
| 10 | (i) Sleve analysis & Grain size distribution by sieve analysis & hydrometer test. |
| 11 | (ii) Atterberg limits. |
| 12 | (iii) Natural moisture content. |
| 13 | (iv) Particle size analysis test. |
| 14 | (v) Bulk density/Dry density. |
| 15 | (d) Conduction lab test on disturbed soil samples as considered necessary according to relevant specification of IS 2720 and detailed result showing all relevant calculations, inferences, indices and parameters shall be given in the soil report:- |
| 16 | (i)Sieve analysis. |
| 17 | (ii)Atterberg Limits. |
| 18 | (iii) Natural moisture content. |
| 19 | (iv) Particle size analysis test. |
| 20 | (v) Bulk density. |
| 21 | (vi)Specific gravity. |
| 22 | (vii) Free swell index and swelling properties of soil. |
| 23 | (viii)Organic matter in soil if any. |
| 24 | (ix) Consolidation test (Compressed index value). |
| 25 | (x) Triaxial compression test and deternination of shear parameters (c & ? test) as per relevant IS. |
| 26 | (xi) Harmful salts (complete investigation as already ref.) |
| 27 | (e) Ground Water Table:- |
| 28 | (i) Maximum and minimum levels of Ground Water in the area with source of information |
| 29 | (ii) Ground Water Table during the investigation. |
| 30 | Submission of Six copies of ink signed test report with detailed description of field investigation, soil classification and general nature of soil strata, water table, interpretation of test results, grains size distribution curves, compressive index curves, site plan etc. |
| 31 | The SBC of the soil is required to be given as per following table. Calculation of bearing capacity will be governed generally as IS 8009 (Pt-I)-1976, IS 2720 (Pt-II)-1980, IS 6403-1981, IS 1904-1986 & IS 1080-1985 and other relevant IS codes and detailed calculations duly showing the various soil parameters/ indices shall be given in the Soil Report:- |

| 39 | With every site\"s Soil Investigation Report, a detailed site plan showing the approx Location of each bore duly numbered as per log of bore hole should be enclosed. Location of foundation of adjacent structures especially those that might be impacted by the proposed construction. |
| 40 | Every page of the Soil Investigation Report should have the Name of the Job for which Soil Investigation is being carried out. In case of multiple sites of a single Job are being investigated name of each site be put on each page of report pertaining to the site. |
| 41 | All pages of the Soil Investigation Report shall be serially numbered, stamped and signed by the Agency carrying out the Soil Investigation. Report should be scrutinized by GE & CWE for correctness & endorsed. |
| 42 | Transportation charges including loading and unloading of heavy girders, T & P technician etc complete from laboratory to work site and back shall be deemed included in rates quoted by bidders. |
| 43 | Photographic record of geo-explorations as well as testing shall also form part of the report. |
| 44 | The GE shall intimate the approximate type of construction, utilization and dimensions of proposed building to the consultant, who based on Geotechnical investigations should recommend type of foundation (viz isolated/ combined footing, raft, pile etc.) |
| 45 | In case of underground buildings/basement construction, or if requirement of temporary/permanent deep excavation support measures during construction of building are envisaged necessary, excavation support measures to be given by the consultant based on geotechnical investigation. |
