4Water Treatment Plant at Gambhar Pul:-The scope of work under present tender includes the Survey , designing ,construction of 5.00 MLDwater capacity water treatment plant capable to treat the raw water 5.00 MLD forMESarea of the quality specified in the basic design data to produce clear water as per the requirements of latest CPHEEO manual on water supply and treatment (chapter 7) and as specified in basic design data.The construction of Collection tank or over head Raw water tank (,cost of collection tank/over head raw water tank shall be included in the cost of WTP), Presettling tank, alum solution and lime solutionmixing tank and dozing arrangement, flash mixer, mechanical clariflocculator tanks, Clear water tank, including plinth protection around all the structures, inter connecting arrangements of pipes andvalves , sluice valves chambers/flushing chambers etc including all works pertaining to it.pumps,valves, mechanical/electrical equipment, electric wiring and panel boards drainage sanitation, interconnecting paths, railing and stairsing for all WTP Components as per design parameters and specification as per CPHEEO manual on water & treatment.The components/units mentioned/proposed above are tentative and the WTP shall comprise of but not limited to above arrangements/methodology The final decision regarding the components shall be made at the time of finalisation of the design drawings.WTP shall be designed as per the specifications mentioned in Vol-2,and CPHEEO Manual, if anything found contrary, then CPHEEO Manual shall be followed the same shall be to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.The firm shall submit the detailed hydraulic and structural design and drawings (5 copies or as decided by Engineer-in-charge) for each component of treatment plant, which shall be approved by institutes like PEC ,IIT"s and NIT"s as well as the department before the work is started. The designs & drawings of the mechanical electrical equipment and wiring etc. along with manufactures specifications/design also be submitted for approval to the department. On the completion of all civil, mechanical and electrical works, the contractor shall test run the plant for 3 monthsat the cost of the contractor including the cost of all materials like lubricants, chemicals and labour (skilled and unskilled). However, electrical charges shall be borne by the department. During this period, the contractor shall run the plant at full rated capacity and produce the results specified in the NIT and as per the latest CPHEEO standards in the presence of Engineer-in-Charge or his representative. During this period the daily testing of raw water and treated water samples shall be done as per the requirements of Appendix 15.9 category II of latest CPHEEO manual on water supply and treatment and sound engineering practice. Complete record of the test results and the flow measurements shall be kept during this period. If the performance of various units of the treatment plant is as specified in NIT/CPHEEO manual, the plant shall be formally taken over by the department, otherwise, the contractor shall make necessary changes/repairs to improve the efficiency of the units/plants. Multifunction Water Quality in line Meterto record pH, TDS, DO, Turbidity, temperature of the treated water at the inlet and outlet points of WTP, meeting the control criteria enclosed in technical specification sheetcomplete including cost of all equipment and accessories as directed by engineer in charge as per relevent data sheet and scope of work .The contractor shall provide 5 sets of approved drawing with design to the department (Refer Vol-II-Technical specifications &, Data Sheet No, 2) (1 No WTP of 5.00 MLD designed capacity)

6PUMPING MACHINERY SUBMERSIBLE:-Supply of star rated enrgy efficient submersible pumping set of KSB/Calama/ Johnston/ Crompton/BS/ SABAR/ Oswal/Kirloskar/WPILmake conforming to latest relevant BIS Code 8034:1976. The pump should be fitted with bronze impeller or suitable alloyssuitable for handlingClear water having greased packed bearings and shaft with wound stator on motor side and with soft protection sleeve onpump side ensuring better life for shaft coupled to a submersible squirrel cage electricinduction motor(water proof type)of requiredHP & 2900 rpm of reputed make conforming to BIS 9283-1979 latest with upto date amendments, totally dust and water proof for submersible duty isolated from the pump byintermediate casing with double mechanical seal in oil chamber and greasepacked lubricated bearings and provided with stainless steel thrustbearing plate to with stand non vertical loads with minimumwear andtear. It should also be fitted with a device to take up expansion of water with the heating of motor. Thepump set shouldinclude water level guards, erection clamps , cable clips, depth gauge NRV & Sluice valves of approved class etc.The workshould be completed to the entire satisfactionof the Engineer-in – Charge. The rates shall be for complete Job to run the machinery in proper working. and should meet with therequirements. (Ist stage). The rate shall be quoted with per set rate of pumping machinery.The motor shall be suitable of running at 415 volt+ - 15 volt atleast. It should include cost of bearing nuts, bolts and painting etc and should meettherequirement as per Data Sheet No. 3, including Pump sets (working + standby),All electrical equipments such as Starter, ICTP switches, MCB, Bushbar chamber, MCB, Panel board indicating lamps, Ammeter, Voltmeter, Hour run meter should be of electronic type ,incoming and outgoing water proof cable for panel board, Double loop earthing, copper cable pressure gauge, capacitor, common header, sluice valve, NRV including erectionand testing complete necessary piping for suction and common header and control valves alongwith electrical works including all taxes, insurance, transportation, freight charges, inspection charges, loading, unloading, conveyance to Departmental stores/ site, stacking, etc.including specials and wastage etc.; complete as per Tender Specifications and instruction of Engineer in charge (Refer Vol-II-Technical specification &Data sheetNo. 3).

10Excavation in foundation, trenches (for pipes & pits) upto all depths in all classification of earth work such as pick work, jumper work, saturated soil includingbailing and pumping out water, blasting soft/ hard rock or chieselling soft/hard rock where blasting is prohibited in all lifts including trimming and dressing of sides,leveling of beds to correct grade i/c shoring /strutting , planking, timbering & dewatering wherever required, stacking the useable & unuseable material /soil separately & after laying jointing & testingof pipes, returning the useable soil in trenches in 15 cm layers including consolidating of such deposoitedlayer by ramming & watering & then disposing of all surplus excavated soil /unusablematerial as directed with in all leads & lifts including restoration unmetalled surfaces to its original condition & including cost of diversionfor traffic, night signals, fixing caution boards, crossingover trenches for access to houses, fencing etc. complete in all respects with in all leads & lifts as per directions of Engineer-in-charge.
11Providing, laying,jointing and testing in trenches of Galvanized MSERW/butt welded pipes including cost of flanged bends of all degrees conforming to IS/ISO:3183-2012 or latest with up to date ammendments with steel gradeL-290 or X-42,having wall thickness as specified below with plain be vetted end and capable of withstanding required test pressure in random length of 4 to 7 meters, including specials, short pieces, bends, reducers, tees etc. made from parent tube.The M.S. flanges are to be provided 1% of total joints and remaining 99% joints with butt welded joints as detailedbelow. The MS flanges shall confirm to BIS 6392-latest up to date amendments. duly welded in Three layers (one inner and two outer) with pipes at both ends as per relevant BIS standards along with nuts and bolts of required sizes confirming to BIS 1364 (with upto date ammendments). 3mm thick compressed asbestos fiber/synthetic rubber gaskets confirming to relevant BIS standards. The laying of pipe shall include all operation such as cutting, welding, jointing, providing & fixing of MS flanges, fabrication of bends, tees,valves etc. including lowering and laying in excavated trenches to ensure required level including flushing, cleaning and hydraulic testing complete in all respects to the satisfaction of the Engineer in charge. The fabricated bends shall have three or four cuts having its radius not less than five times the dia of pipe. The pipes shall be factory galvanized (zinc coating both inside and outside) as per IS:4736 -1986 (with upto date ammendments) with mass of zink coating not less than 360 gm/m2. The welding electrodes shall be as per IS 814:2004 of Advani Oerlikon/ L&T or ISI marked make. Negative tolerance in thickness and mass/weight will not be accepted.Welding and fixing ofM.S. flanges @ 1% of joints, conforming to following tables as per IS 6392-1971 (Latest with up to date amendments) . The welding of flanges should conform to IS 816-1969 with electrodes as per IS: 814-1991 and required number of nuts and bolts conforming to IS 1364, the thicthness of gasket not less than 3.00 mm conforming to IS 2712-1998. The work shall be done as per entire satisfactio of Engineer- in- charge with in all leads and lifts.The rates also includes entire carriage of material, flushing, cleaning & hydraulic testing complete to the best satisfaction & direction of Engineer in charge with in all leads and lifts. (Earth work in trenches, flanged joints . The diameter and class / material of pipe are indicative. Since the re-survey and re-design of proposal / scheme is to be carried out by the lowest bidder, the design/drawings are to be approved by the competent authority of the department. If there is anyvariation in size, material, class & wall thickness of pipe and jointing,valves,specials etc,the rates shall be worked out on prorata basis and will be paid accordingly (Refer Vol-II-Technical specification &Data sheetNo. 4).
