| 1 | Excavation in earth work in heights and depths by mechanical means, in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock and all work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution, etcetra. and to protect stability of hill side, the track shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/excavation, including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber, super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge, in conformity with the requirement of technical specification for Rural Road, clause 1603.1 and 1603.2 of General Conditions for Contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of material useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal and dumping to be arranged by the contractor of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner, trimming, filling of unevenness, blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge for smooth riding. The recovery for stones, whether useful or not, for 16501.80 cum (sixteen Thousand Five Hundredone and point Eight zero Cubic Metre) shall be made in all cases at the Rate of Rupees 300/- only (RupeesThree hundredonly) per cubic meter shall be effected on pro-rata base. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractors, which shall compensated by him in all cases. |
