4Extra rates for quantaties of earth works executed in or under water and/or liquid mud, including pumping out water as required, shall be @ 20% of the rate of the item . The unit namely ,meter depth to be considered for payment shall be the depth measured from the sub soil water level uptothe center of gravity of the quantity executed in these difficult conditions. The depth shall be reckoned correct to 0.1 meter, 0.05 meteror more shallbe taken as 0.1meter and less than 0.05 meter ignored.The extra percentage rate is applicable in respect of each item but limited to quantaties of work executed in these difficult conditions .
