| 2 | Remit the cost of earth and take out the earth by mechanical excavation from the land owned by KSRTC at Edappal, including all lift and lead, clearing and grubbing, all types of shoring and protection works in the excavating/cutting area completely as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. After the excavation, the ground needs to be levelled or graded up to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge at the cost of the contractor. All statutory permission and clearances from all concerned departments/local bodies shall be obtained by the Contractor’s own arrangements. Royalty, taking levels, statutory fees, submission of documents including mining plan to statutory departments and all taxes shall be borne by the Contractor. The amount quoted for this item has to be paid to KSRTC by the Contractor without any tax liability on KSRTC. The Upfront payment to be made by the Contractor for this item is 20% of the total amount quoted for this item. This has to be paid completely before the commencement of excavation of earth. The upfront payment has to be paid in 3 instalments as per the tender conditions.1 .First instalment –10% of total upfront payment2 .Second instalment –10% of total upfront payment3 .Third instalment –80% of total upfront paymentStages of Payment as % of Total Amount to be made during the workA. Before dispatching more than 50,000 MT- 30%B. Before dispatching more than 1,50,000 MT- 35%C. Before dispatching more than 3,00,000 MT- 15%Notes1) The upper variation of quantity shall be 25% above the quantity mentioned in the BoQ and there shall be no limit for the lower variation of the quantity. For operating upper variation in quantity, Contractor has to make full upfrontpayment for the quantity proposed to be taken from the site.2) The dispatched soil will be quantified in terms of initial ground levels before excavation and final ground levels after excavation. For this, Contractor has to make arrangements for taking the levels which will be cross checked in field by the Engineer-in-charge. 3) The dry density of excavated soil will betested as per IS codes by taking selected samples as directed by the Engineer-in-charge and quantity measured in cubic metre will be converted into metric tonne.4) If trees are located on the area proposed for quarrying, the Contractor has to make upfront payment for felling and removal of trees as per the conditions and execute thefelling of trees before carrying out excavation / quarrying operations on the particular area. 5) The successful Bidder shall remit the cost of trees fixed by Social Forestry Wing of Kerala Forests Department including an additional charge of 5%. The Contractor shall bear the cost of felling and removal of different type of trees with various girths in all lifts and leads and shall bear all statutory charges and taxes including FDT towards Social Forestry Department and GST as applicable. The Contractor has to make complete payment in advance for felling of trees existing in an area proposed for excavation. Compliance to above condition is mandatory for carrying out excavation/quarrying work as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. |
