After blast cleaning, the surface should be cleaned from loose dust & debris by air blast with help of blower. Over the prepared surfaces, two coats of zinc richprimer (containing not less than 85% zinc rich on dry film) should be applied to give a dry film thickness of70 ±5 microns. First coat of primer should be applied within sixhours of sand blasting. Fnishingcoat should consist of 02 coats of solventless coal tar epoxy paints. These should be applied at an interval of24 hours.Each coat should give minimum dry film thickness of 150 ±5 microns. Total dry film thickness of all coats including primer coat should not be less than 350 microns. The rate should include compressor, paints, thinner, painting equiments, labour, other machinery, scaffolding etc. required for painting.
