3Stringing/ uncoiling of the MDPE line pipe on the pipeline Right-of-Use, laying/ installation of MDPE line pipe (alongwith installation of required accessories as mentioned above) of following sizes, including executing all works; fabrication, access for construction; supply of all materials (except Owner supplied materials), consumables, labour and other incidental works and handing over the same after return of the surplus pipes to the Owner"s designated stockyard(s); carrying out all temporary, ancillary, auxiliary works required to make the MDPE pipeline ready for commissioning as per drawings, specifications, scope of work indicated in PJS and other provisions of Contract document and instructions of Engineer-in-charge, including but not limited to carrying out the following works:
4Preparation and getting approval of schedules, execution procedures, drawings/ sketches/ wherever required, making trial pits to determine the undergroundutilities/ services etc., restoration of the abandoned trial pits to original condition. Grading the ROU, barricading the work area as per local authorities norms & to satisfaction of EIC, installation of safety signs, trenching to required depth, repairing of all damaged utilities if any, and payment of any compensation (if claimed by owner/other utility agencies). Uncoiling/ stringing of pipes, clamping, jointing of the pipe ends/ fittings/ valves by qualified personnel using approved electro-fusion techniques as per specification.
5Excavation of trench and Lowering the pipeline in trench to required depths, placement of HDPE warning grid mat over the pipeline along the complete route, padding around pipeline with suitable approved soil, backfilling with available excavated material after screening, compaction with jumping jack compactor and water at subsequent layers of 150mm above warning mat. All tiles/slabs/curb stones etc removed during excavation shall be placed properly. Roads, pavements, footpaths etc. to be made motorable wherever pipeline is laid. MDPE Pipe shall be laid in such a way so that top cover of MDPE Pipe is 1.0 mtr. However in case if additional depth (up to 1.5 mtr) required due to any reason shall be coverd in this SOR.
6Installation and electro-fusion jointing of valves wherever required and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Restoration of area to original condition, including cleaning the area of all unserviceable materials, debris, excess earth near trenches to the designated disposal area as per the specifications, instruction of Owner/Engineer-in-charge and to the satisfaction of local authorities. Restoration of all surrounding ground features to that existing before as detailed out in the specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge which would include replanting of any uprooted trees etc. Pneumatic testing, purging with nitrogen and commissioning as per specification and approved procedures providing all tools and tackles, nitrogen, instruments, manpower and other related accessories and as per the instructions of the Engineer-in-charge.
7Maintaining the completed pipelines/ installation for any defect, failures during defect liability period (i.e. 12 months from date of completion of work). Handing over the completed works to MNGL for their operation/ use, returning of all free issue surplus material to MNGL stores, reconciliation of free issue material area wise and obtaining "no objection certificate" from MNGL/Consultant.
8Preparation and submission of Daily progress report, Laying Graphs/ PE/ GI line cards. On completion of gas charging of pipelines. Preparation and submission of As-built drawings, crossings details, termination, utility graphs and deviation statements. Submission of all documents required for contract closure in numbers as mentioned in contract.
9Any other activities not mentioned/ covered explicitly above, but otherwise required for satisfactory completion/operation/ safety/ statutory/ maintenance of the works shall also be covered under the scope of work and has to be completed by the Contractor within specified schedule at no extra cost to MNGL.
10Supply and installation of GI sleeve(21/2" and 3" as instructed by EIC) with concrete mix (Pedestal) and filling it with sand, sealing the annuals, Inserting of MDPE pipe in Hume pipe for road crossing, supply of soft soil if required for padding comes under this SOR is in the contractor"s scope. Breaking through any obstructions and their subsequent restoration, as per specifications and instructions of the Engineer-in-charge is included in this SOR item.Liasioning and Follow-up for permission with all the concerned customer, society members, chairmansetc. is the Contractor"s scope.

31Pneumatic testing, purging with nitrogen & Commissioning of already laid MDPE Pipe (PE 80/100, SDR 11) including supply of manpower, labour (to identify the leak / making the pits), jointing of fittings, its installation and manpower, labour (for making the pits) etc.and submission offinal documents (Like: As-built etc) comes under SOR (1.5.a) and tapping from main line/charged line is the scope of contractor. The supply of all kind of MDPE fitting including TF etc is covered under theSOR 1.8(b,c,d)

40Above ground laid MDPE pipe shall be protected by RCC i.e. all sides of MDPE Pipe covered by 4" thick RCC. Providing and laying reinforced cement of grade M-20 with 20mm and down grade crushed stone aggregate in all types of structures like foundations, pedestals, pedestal bases, pipe supports, sleepers cable trench including construction joints, bitumen painting on surface in contact with soil, supplying and fixing reinforcing steel, shuttering, inserts, finishes etc. at all depths and heights complete as per drawings, specifications and direction of the Engineer-in-charge. Unit rate includes cost of labours, tools, tackles, equipment, equipment hire charges, supply of all materials such as minimum 43 grade cement including sulphate resistant cement for sub-structures, R/F steel dia 12mm, Inserts, bolts, conduits, bitumen, other minor construction materials, shuttering, stanging, earthwork in excavation and backfilling using serviceable earth in all conditions, shorting bailing and pumping out water, testing of concrete, curing etc. with all bye works and sundry works.

45Additional material like shuttering for supporting the side wall of the trench or any other material / things required for safe working for completion of job / as per instructions of EIC shall be in the scope of contractor and covered under this SOR.

481.7) Material Cost for Supply of Concrete Sleeves / HDPE Sleeves: Supply, installation of sleeve, insertion of pipe, sealing the annuals, firm fixing of Sleeves with concrete mix. Breaking through any obstructions and their subsequent restoration, as per specifications and instructions of the Engineer-in-charge.

165"Receiving and taking-over" as defined in the specification, handling, loading, transportation and unloading of Owner supplied GI pipes of all sizes, Isolation and appliance valves (as free issue items) from Owner"s designated place(s) of issue to Contractor"s own stock-yard(s)/ Work Shop(s)/ work-site(s) including proper storing, stacking, identification, providing security & insurance cover, including supply ofGI/forged fittings/accessories of all sizes & thickness like Elbows, Tees, unions, sockets, reducers, GI plugs etc., installation of GI line (alongwith installation of required accessories as mentioned above) of following sizes, including fabrication with supply of all materials (except Owner supplied materials),
166consumables, labour and other incidental works and handing over the same after return of the surplus pipes to the Owner"s designated store; carrying out all temporary, ancillary, auxiliary works required to make the GI line ready for commissioning as per drawings, specifications, scope of work indicated in PJS and other provisions of Contract document and instructions of Engineer-in-charge, including but not limited to carrying out the following works:
167Preparation and approval of schedules, execution procedures, sketches. Finalisation of optimum route with consent of customer, from transition fitting to cooking oven/ appliance. Making temporary but stable platforms/ scaffolding/ rope ladders and all other safety devices. Installation of GI Pipes & forged/GI threaded Fittings, Valves etc. including NPT threading, painting as specified (installation of meters & regulators forms a separate SOR item). Supply & Fixing of approved clamps, electrodes for welding of Pipes, Dowell Plugs with screws, grout material, suitable thread sealant i.e. Teflon Tape/ lock tight, drilling of holes through tiles/ wood/ marble/ Granite/glass etc. jointing of PE to above Ground service GI pipes, testing, purging with Nitrogen and commissioning of the complete installation as per specification.
168Painting of pipe & fittings after proper surface finish by one coat of approved primer paint and two coats of approved synthetic enamel paint complete as per specification & direction of EIC. Restoring the wall surface to original condition. All above activities to be carried out as per specification to the complete satisfaction of consumer & as desired by Engineer-in-charge.
169Handing over the completed works to MNGL for their operation/ use, returning of all free issue surplus material to MNGL stores, reconciliation of free issue material area wise and obtaining "no objection certificate" from MNGL/ Consultant.
170Any other activity (like drilling holes of all size, glass cutting etc and installation of regulator "4bar-21mbar" in the riser and two MCV in lateral for each house are included in this rate) not mentioned/ covered, explicitly above, but otherwise required for satisfactory completion/ safety/ statutory/ maintenance of works shall also be covered under scope of work and has to be completed by contractor within specified schedule.Liasioning and Follow-up for permission with all the concerned customer, society member etc. is the scope of Contractor.

1723.2) Dismantaling & Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Copper Service Pipes and Domestic Meter, regulator without supply of fittings.
173Dismantling & Installation of Cu pipe: Dismantling of copper pipe laid by another contractor (or existing) & installation of new copper pipe,"Receiving and taking-over" as defined in the specification, handling, loading, transportation and unloading of Owner supplied Copper pipes& supply of necessary fittings (is under SOR 3.3) required for installation of copper tubing as per Technical Specification and satisfaction of EIC. The copper fittings shall be procured from vendors who have supplied these items for similar application earlier and with prior approved of Client / Consultant.
174Copper service pipe shall be installed (rate of drilling holes of all size are included in the rate) from the downstream of meter upto the isolation valve before the customers" appliance as per MNGL"s Drawing to the satisfaction of EIC. The Contractor to provide all equipment, tools and material necessary to execute the work in an efficient manner by cutting, cleaning, flux application, soldering and lacquering. The work includes supply of all tools, tackles and consumables including clamps for fixing the tubes.

1793.3) Supply & installation of fittings and other material etc.
180This SOR covers covers the supply of the fitting and its installation. Contractor has to supply the required tools, associated material and labour or what ever is required to complete the job or as instructed by EIC. This SOR will operate only for the part-3 "GI-Cu rectification work" of the SOR except SOR item No. 3.1
