| 1 | On-Site Servicing, Maintenance & Overhauling of 11kV, 1000 kW HT Vertical Slip Ring Motor (Unit-1) as per the clause 16 & 17 of IS-900:1992 (to be read with the latest amendments) at Lift Water Supply Scheme Tangnar Stage-2nd by way of: -i) Disconnecting of HT motor from 11 kV Electric supply mains including Control cabling Terminal box & disengaging/decoupling motor from the Bowl assembly including dismantling of motor from its mounting stool. Loading/ shifting of same at convenient place at site for conducting necessary servicing / maintenance at site only in order to avoid any damage which might take place to HT motor during shifting to workshop through transportation etc.ii) Dismantling of HT motor with the help of tools & tackles without using excessive force and hammer blows. The job involves removing of motor shield covers, extraction of rotor from stator assembly, including dismantling of bearing housings and removal of bearings by using hydraulic puller if required.iii) Measuring, recording the initial insulation resistance (IR) &Polarization Index (PI) values of the stator windings and rotor windings, under high voltage using Mega Ohm Meter, current injection test at low voltage & at high current.iv) Cleaning Stator and Rotor from dust, dirt, oil and grit using Air blower, compressed air hose, bellows or brushes and washing with Isopropyl Alcohol/ Petrol and few drops of oil as necessary for complete removal of foreign matter.v) Heat treatment and drying of the Stator and Rotor through suitable means like Hot blower at 90 to 95 degrees Celsius for driving out entrapped moisture till desired IR Value is obtained.vi) Re-enameling of all windings of Stator and Rotor (Except stator bore) with 11 Kv grade Epoxy coatings [5 kgs approx.] along with hardener [1/4 kg] as recommended to withstand damp & wet conditions and drying of the same thoroughly by specific means using hot blower, Checking and measuring IR Value again for the desired value. vii) Complete disconnecting of both Motor Terminal boxes Checking and cleaning of thimbles, cable kits, HT tapes, clamps, Bus bar-coupler rubber with suitable cleaning aids and replacement of silica gel. viii) Reassembling of rotor assembly in the stator using tools & tackles including fitment of bearing housings on two sides. The job includes fitment of shields with allied works.ix) Successful Testing of HT motor 1st on no load & then on full load after coupling/locking arrangement, & connecting of HT motor to 11 kv Electric supply mains including Control cabling too at appropriate places.x) The above whole work is to be carried out under the supervision of a qualified experienced Electrical Engineer “to be hired by the bidder” with adequate experience in handing of jobs of this nature especially necessary Testing of the equipment. Such in-charge/Engineer shall be constantly in attendance at the site with other skilled as well as unskilled workers during working hours under whose supervision the whole work of Servicing, Maintenance & Overhauling from start to end has to be carried out. |
| 2 | Heat Treatment/drying of the stator & rotor winding\"s [if IR values at Item No: 01(v) are found undesirable] by giving proper oven drying at the facility of the firm capable of holding above 1000 KW HT Slip Ring Motor [Approx. size =8.5 ft x 3.5 ftx3.5 ft]at 90 to 95 degree Celsius for minimum 48 hours and checking, recording final desired parameters after Heat treatment procedure by required testing equipment. Cost on account of hiring &running charges of9-Ton Diesel Truck & 20-Ton Crane for Transporting, Loading, Shifting and unloading from site to workshop of above 1000 KW HT motor weighing about6500Kgs approximately and back from workshop to site along with cost on account of Oven charges at workshop is included in this whole job |

| 10 | Providing & Fitting of New carbon brushes of size 65x50x25 mm M16E with heavy duty double copper tail 100 mm with U-Type copper lug. The job includes re-tensioning of same in brush holder springs at correct pressure and proper alignment to ensure smooth sliding of brushes free from slackness or stiffness using appropriate Torque wrench. |
| 11 | Providing & fitting of heavy-duty brass brush holders capable of holding two carbon brushes as per specimen i.e. BHEL make. | 12 | Servicing by removing of old grease from both bearings and its housings of DE & NDE side by way of washing cleaning with diesel/petrol. | 15 | Servicing of Liquid Rotor Resistance Starter of above 11kV, 1000 kW HT Vertical Slip Ring Motor (Unit-1) by way of:i) Disconnecting all incoming and outgoing Power and control cabling from the starter assemblyii) Draining of old/used quantity of electrolyte of about 990 liters from the starter container to a safer place.iii) Cleaning the container, electrodes by suitable means using water and isopropyl alcohol along with all moving and fixed contacts/parts within the container.iv) Draining of old/used gear oil to gear mechanism of the starter and filling same with fresh gear oil approximately 01 liter. The job includes greasing/servicing of the motor assembly along with the transmission system of the starter including gears and chains. v) Cleaning/decarburizing all the moving as well as fixed contact points of the 630A contactor assembly along with other auxiliary NO-NC contacts by using isopropyl alcohol and allied cleaning tools.vi) Cleaning/decarburizing of bus bar arrangement within the starter assembly including cable end terminals, lugs with replacement of aluminum thimbles/lugs if damaged.vii) After cleaning/servicing through above means filling of container with fresh electrolyte of 990 liters including 07 kgs of sodium carbonate for achieving starting torque of 200% of FLT and successful testing of starter on no load followed by full load after connecting all power and control cablings. |
