The Weather Shall Not Be Foggy / Rainy, Dusty Or Windy. 5Manufacturing, supplying and fixing retro reflective Overhead informatory road signage and boards, made up of 2 mm thick aluminium sheet, face to be fully covered with high intensity and encapsulated lens type heat activated retro reflective sheeting conforming to type - III of ASTMD-4956-01 as approved by Engineer-in-charge, letters, borders etc. as per IRC : 67-2001 in silver white with blue colour back ground and with high intensity grade, pasted on substrate by pressure sensitive adhesive backing which shall be activated by applying pressure conforming to class II of ASTM-D-4956-01 and fixing the same to the plate of structural frame work by means of suitable sized aluminium alloys, rivets or bolts & nuts @ 300 mm centre to centre all along the periphery as well as in two vertical rows along with theft resistant measures, including the cost of painting with two or more coats of epoxy paint in grey colour on the back side of aluminium sheet including appropriate priming coat. The rate includes the cost of rounding off the corners, lowering down the structural frame work from the gantry, fixing and erecting the same in position including one MS pipe post of 50mm square pipe 3.0mtr long duly painted with alternate black and white bandsof 25cm width including taking down existing sign boards of any description and fixing in post holes filled with PCC 1:3:6 and as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
6Manufacturing, supplying and fixing Retroreflective regulatory sign board of size 900 mm dia meter made out of 2 mm thick aluminium sheet, face to be fully covered with high intensity encapsulated lens type retro -reflective sheeting as approved by Engineer-in-charge . Letter, symbols, borders etc. will be as per IRC - 67 with required colour scheme on the boards and with the high intensity grade A. The aluminium sheet to be riveted to M.S. frame of angle iron of size 40x40x4 mm. The boards will be fixed to 1 No. 50x50 mm square post made of M.S. angle 50x50x4 mm, 4 m long welded to the frame with adequate anti-theft arrangement .Sheet work to be painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over an under coat (primer) and back side of aluminium sheet to be painted with two coats of epoxy paint including appropriate priming coat including one MS pipe post of 50mm square pipe 3.0mtr long duly painted with alternate black and white bandsof 25cm width including taking down existing sign boards of any description and fixing in post holes filled with PCC 1:3:6 and as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
7Supply and fixing in repair metal tubular dealineator made out of ABS round body fitted with 2 Nos 65 mm dia highly reflective reflectors made out of PMMA and mounted on 45/50 mm dia mild steel pipe of 600 mm height duly powder coated and thermo plastic elastomer 3 bands of green, red and yellow reflector radium tape of 25 mm wide strips with anti theft steel net for reflector protection including embedding in PCC 1:2:4 (150x150x300mm) type B1 complete all as specified and directed
8M & L Repair to pot holes any depth, not exc 1 sq m each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cuttinground edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) including taking up existing disturbed portion of hard core removing and deposting the same where directed by enginerin charge
9M & L Preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags or using air compressor to remove all loose dirt etcto remove all dirt etc. and applying evenly a priming / tack coat with bituminous primer VG-10 at the rate of2.5 KG per 10 Sq.mcomplete all as specified and directed.
10M & L in repairs Bituminous Premixed Semi dense asphaltic Concrete, 30 mm consolidated thickness, using paving bitumen of Grade VG – 30, with 5.5%binder content by weight of total mix using paving bitumen, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient using Hot Mix Plant and Mechanical Paver, rolled and compacted with power road roller of 8 to 12 ton capacity to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed.
11Note for Item No 10:- (i) The actual binder content for SDAC used shall be as per optimised content based on approved job mix formula irrespective of what ever indicated in BOQ.
12(ii) Price adjustment shall be done on MINUS side only based on paid vocher(without considering the permissible tolerance on minus side) with reference to binder content indicated in BOQ.
13(iii)No prices adjustment for Bitumen shall be done for variation on plus side.
14M & L Levelling of road side berm by filling, spreadingwith existing sand/Moorum at lower areaand cutting at raise area the with mechanical machine and rolling of surface with road roller of capacity 8-10 tonne, including removal of extra cutting material ,boulders and other materials from area and all as specified and directed.
15Note for Item No 14 :- The unit rates quoted by the tenderer shall be deemed to inclusive for the following:- (i)The work in cutting and filling shall be carried out as instructed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
16(ii)Black cotton soil/ vegetable soils and soils obtained from top 30 cm cutting shall not be used for filling and shall be disposed off as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
17(iii)Boulders or soft materials are encountered in cut slopes these shall be excavated to the approved depth as directed and the resulting cavities with suitable material and thoroughly compacted as directed.
18(iv)Cutting and filling shall be cleared of shurbs, vegetation, grass, bush, weed, trees and saplings not exceeding 30 cm in girth, measured at a height of one metre above ground level.
19Supply and fixing in repairs cat eye, light reflective type of metal body alloy of size 100mm x 100mm x 20mm with PAMA striplens reflector of model No. DA 972.0 fixed with and incl MS stud of suitable size as per manufactures instructions. Make: 3M /Simsonite / Tata BP/dark eye
20M & L 75 mm thick , Moorum/ red bajri filling in road side berms, laid in layers n exc. 15 cm thick, spread, levelled and rammed/ rolled including watering to required level and gradient complete all as specified and as directed.
21Note for item No 20 :- (i) Moorum/red bajri required shall be brought from outside MD land
22(ii) Compaction of moorum filling shall be carried out under optimum moisture conditions up to the standard proctor density not less than 98 percent.
23(iii) Measurements shall be taken after consolidation earth and 5% deduction shall be made forpayments.
24M & L Precast kerb stone as in PCC 1:3:6 type C1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate and set in CM 1:4 including removing the old damaged kerb stone from the site and deposit out side MD land where directed etcincluding making good the disturbed portion of road or path complete all as specified and as directed. Note :-The unit rate is deemed to be included for (a)Demolition of concrete and removing rubish material to out side MD land. (b)Necessary form work.
25S & F Speed bump (SB-01) made out of plastic material so that it can bear maximum load on it. Two highly reflective reflectors moulded in PMMA material welded with ABS base plate through ultrasonic welding process and then fixed on speed bump so that dust and water canot tocu reflectors inside area. Metalic bolts are used for installation on road. size of size L=250mm, W=750mm, H=75mm) including taking down and removing rubbish material to outside MD land complete all as specified and directed.
26S & F Delineator made out of round MSpipe 2"dia and 3" ft long with five bands of reflective tape HIP grade. Three red (1"X6") and two white (2"X6") with jali and one coat of steel primer and two coats of synthetic enamel paint including excavating post holes of 15 x15x 15 CM and embedded in PCC 1:3:6 and including taking down and removing rubbish material to outside MD land complete all as specified and directed.
27M & L Rolling and consolidating formation surfaces in cutting to the required gradient and camber including filling in depression and hollow, watering, leveling etc., complete using power roller exceeding8 tonne and not exceeding 12 tonne capacity all as specified and as directed.
28Note for Item No 27 :- Rolling and consolidation the formation surfaces to the required gradient and camber under optimum moisture conditions to achieve at least 98% of maximum dry density determined using modified proctor density determination method as per relevant IS code.
29Supply and fix in repairs solar cat eye aluminum alloy of size 125mm x 125mm x 25mm (shank 65mm) of high efficiency Mono rystafie solar panel 2.4V/ 0.3 watt one NI-ed rechargeable battery (1.2V/ 1600MA) consisting of super bright LED with 10,000 to 18,000 mcd completed as per manufactures instructions etc. all as specified and directed

33(b) The unit rate quotedis deemed to included for Removing of accumulated earth of any width and depth upto 15 cm cleaning/cutting the grass with hand operated petrol/kerosene driven grass cutting machine and removing the grass waste around 3 m from plinth protectionto outside MD land
34(c) Periodicityof cutting of grass shall be before commencement of work and after completion of repairs.
35Supply only water proofing compound
36M&L Preparation of new plastered surfaces wallapplying two coats of cement based paint over and including a coat of primer, of any description, complete all as specified.
37Note for Item No 36:- (i)Before applying cement based paint ,the surface shall be thouroughly wetted to control surface suction. The surface shall be moist but not dripping wet when the paint applied .Surfaces which readily absorb moisture shall be wetted in one operation not more than one hour before painting.Surfaces which absorb moisture slowly shall be wtted in at least two operations not less than 30 minutes apart.
38(ii)To maintain a uniform mixture and to prevent segregation ,the paint shall be stirred frequently in the bucket.
39(iii)Painting surfaces shall be cured as soon as paint has hardened so as not be to damaged by the spray about 12 hours after the applications.
40(iv)Cost of scaffolding required deemed to be included in the quoted rate of item and nothing extra shall be admissible on this account.
41(v)Paints shall be obtained direct from approved manufacturer or from their authorized agents only and brought to site in sealed containers. The paint so procured shall be of any approved make as per list of makes specified.
42M & L Providing 75mm thick plain cement concrete 1:4:8 type D2 (using 40 mm graded crushed stone aggregate) as in sub base to tiles complete including demolition of concrete and removing rubish material to out side MD land all as specified and directed .

58Notefor item No 57:- (a) All synthetic enamel paint, plastic emulsion paint shall be of 1st quality manufactured by the standard firms of make as specified.
59(b) The contractor shall inform the GE, within three weeks of the acceptance of the tender, the brand/names of the manufacturers of paint proposed to be used in the works and submit samples thereof and obtain prior written approval of GE before their use in works.
60(c) The contractor shall when so required by the GE, produce certificate from the manufacturer or their representative to establish that the brands of paints purchased by the contractor from them, satisfy the requirements of the relevant Indian Standards. Tint of paint, will be approved by the GE.
61(d)Paints shall be obtained direct from approved manufacturer or from their authorized agents only of respective brands mentioned below and brought to site in sealed containers. The paint so procured shall be of first quality of any approved make as per list of makes specified. i. Berger Paints (Luxol), ii. Jenson & Nicholson (Brolac), iii. Shalimar Paints(Superlac), iv. Goodlass Nerolac (Nerolac), v. Asian Paints(Apcolite)
62(e )Unless otherwise specified the tints of paint shall be as approved by the GE
63(f) The contractor shall submit samples of the paints proposed for the work along with results of tests conducted in approved laboratory as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for approval.
64(g) The surface shall be thoroughly cleaned and dusted. All dirt scales oil and grease shall be thoroughly removed before painting is started. The prepared surface shall be inspected and approved by the GE before painting is commenced. The weather shall not be foggy/rainy, dusty or windy. The suitability of the weather will be determined by the Engineer-in-Charge.
65(h) No hair marks from the brushor clogging of paint buddles shall be left on the work. Surface shall ordinarily not be painted until it has dried up completely. Trial patches of paint shall be laid at intervals to check if drying is satisfactory.
66S & F Chequered cement concrete coloured tiles 300 x 300 x 25 mm thick, machine pressed heavy duty any pattern/type, chemically treatedset jointed and pointed in neat cement slurry as in paths, etc and cut and polished using grey cement andpigments over screed bed or bedding layer of mortar 15mm thick for laying floor finishes in cement mortar (1:4) including demolition of stone slab and tiles of any description or thickness in floors, aporon etc complete all as specified and directed.

77M & L Preparation of new steel surface of any description over 10cm width or girth and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over one coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified and as directed.
78Note for Item No 77 :- (a) Synthetic enamel paint,shall be of 1st quality manufactured by the standard firms of make as specified.
79(b) The contractor shall inform the GE, within three weeks of the acceptance of the tender, the brand/names of the manufacturers of paint proposed to be used in the works and submit samples thereof and obtain prior written approval of GE before their use in works.
80(c) The contractor shall when so required by the GE, produce certificate from the manufacturer or their representative to establish that the brands of paints purchased by the contractor from them, satisfy the requirements of the relevant Indian Standards. Tint of paint, will be approved by the GE.
81(d)Paints shall be obtained direct from approved manufacturer or from their authorized agents only of respective brands mentioned below and brought to site in sealed containers. The paint so procured shall be of first quality of any approved make as per list of makes specified. i. Berger Paints (Luxol), ii. Jenson & Nicholson (Brolac), iii. Shalimar Paints(Superlac), iv. Goodlass Nerolac (Nerolac), v. Asian Paints(Apcolite)
82(e)Unless otherwise specified the tints of paint shall be as approved by the GE
83(f) The contractor shall submit samples of the paints proposed for the work along with results of tests conducted in approved laboratory as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for approval.
84(g) The surface shall be thoroughly cleaned and dusted. All dirt scales oil and grease shall be thoroughly removed before painting is started. The prepared surface shall be inspected and approved by the GE before painting is commenced. The weather shall not be foggy/rainy, dusty or windy. The suitability of the weather will be determined by the Engineer-in-Charge.
85(h) No hair marks from the brushor clogging of paint buddles shall be left on the work. Surface shall ordinarily not be painted until it has dried up completely. Trial patches of paint shall be laid at intervals to check if drying is satisfactory.

139Note for item No 138 :- (a)The Unit rate quoted is included for Demolition of Stone Slabs and tiles of any description or thickness in floors, aprons etc laid bedded and pointed in any mortar.
140Taking down and refixing the same steel gate not exc 3 sqm each pane after repair of rusted or damaged portion of the gate including pivote, holdfast, stopper, locking arrangement, pintal etc and necessary greasing to pivote with or including spot welding, running welding all as specified.
141Note for item No 140 :- In case required new mild steel fixed with replacing rusted or damaged portion will be included in quoted rate.
142Taking down and refixing broken glass coping on top of wall in CM 1:3 complete all as specified and as directed.
143Note for item No 142 :- Contractor shall bring broken glass from out side MD land 25mm layer of cement mortar (1:3) with broken glass @ of 10 Kg per Sqm in case sufficient glass not obtained from taking down and the quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of this provision also.
144M&L Cleaning of existing cover drain /open drain ofany width and depth upto 15 cmby using jet water pressure mechanical pump,suction pump andremoving mud/silt, vegetation growth, plants/small trees etc to a distance 50m ,including repairing cracks in cement mortar (1:3) where noticed in surface of drainall as specified and as directed.
145Note for item No 144 :- (a) The work to be executed in highly restricted area.
146(b)The unit rate is deemed to be included for removing of accumulated earth of any width and depth upto 15 cm cleaning/cutting the grass with hand operated petrol/kerosene driven grass cutting machine and removing the grass waste around 1m from both side of the drain to outside MD land Note: Periodicity of cutting of grass shall be before commencement of work and after completion of repairs.
147(c)The unit rate deemed to be considered for First Aid and necessary safety arrangements equipment’s to be provided by the tenderer for workman.
148(d) The tenderer shall adhere to time frame as per the user’s requirement and as per demand.The demand and the location of work will be intimated either by the rep of user/ MES rep well in advance. In case of failure to attend the demand in time penalty will be levied for each day @ Rs 500/ for non-completing the requirement till completion of work.The nature of the work related to Airfield maintenance, hence the delay is not acceptable.
149M&L for repairs to pavement by cutting the existing concrete slab by machine to a length of damaged portion with an average depth of 30-40mm and average width of 25-50mm, trimming the surface and application of resin formulation in following two stages as given below including preparation of surface complete :-
150(a) First stage consists of application of a primer coat with epoxy resin of mix with formulation of 100 parts of Araldite GY 257 (dipenny 101 propane epichorihydrin) and 50 part of Hardner Hy 140 by weight.
151(b)Second stage consists of application of epoxy resin mortar mix with the following formulations:- (i) Araldite GY 257- 100 parts by weight (ii)Hardener Hy 140 - 50 parts by weight (as per weight of Araldite) (iii) Quartz sand No 9 - 450 parts by weight. (as per weight of Araldite)

New tiles requiredis deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted. The unit rate is also including necessary bedding in cement mortor in CM(1:4) not exceeding 15mm thick.
