Outer dimension 20”x 16 ¼”, inner dimension 18” ¼” x 14 ½”, height 9 ½”, Nail tin Rabet 5/8” deep & ½” wide along top side. c) Body Frame: Top bar = 19”x 1” x7/8” with groove in the middle on the lower side. d) Side Bar: 9” 1/8” x 3/8” upper side 1 3/8” wide and lower side 1” wide cut from the middle portion on either endto accommodate the top and bottom bars provided with holes. e) Bottom Bar:17 5/8” long, ¼”wide & 3/8” thick f) Super: As per specification of Brood Chamber g) Super Frame: As per specification of Brood Chamber frame h) Inner Cover: 20”x18” x 3/8” with 3/8” x 7/8” wooden bar on all sides. i) Outer Cover / Flap Top Cover: 3/8’’ thick board nailed to rectangular.
2Shifting Cover: size 20’’ x 161/4” x 3/8” the frame should be made of good quality seasoned kail wood. Power loom wire matting jalli should be fixed tightly in between the wooden frame
3Outer Cover: Size 23” x 18” x 3/8” should be made of good quality seasoned Kail Wood. A rectangular frame 2” should be nailed on all the four sides. GI / Aluminium sheet of 28 gauges should also be nailed on the top of the outer cover
4Inner Cover: Size 20”x18” x 3/8”, it should be made of good quality seasoned Kail Wood. Wooden bar 3/8’’x7/8’’ should be nailed on all four sides
5Bottom Board: Size 22’’x16 ¼ ‘’x7/8’’ made of good quality seasoned Kail Wood. It should be either a single piece of wood or two joining wooden boards lengthwise, Along each end of the longer side, a wooden rod 20’’x7/8’’ be nailed and another wooden rod 14 ¼’’x7/8’’ be nailed at the back. The front be provided with entrance rod of size ½’’x 7/8’’ with a sheet 3’’x3/8’’ in the middle bottom board should be convertible type so that it can be put to use from both sides.
6Body Frame: The frames should be made of good quality seasoned Kail Wood with top bar 19’’x1’’x7/8’’ sides bar 91/2’’x13/8’’x 3/8’’. There should be four holes on each side for wiring the frames
7C.F. Sheets (Apis mellifera) computerised: The sheet should be made of pure BEE Wax (As per BIS standard). The size of the sheet should be 42x19 Cms. Having 19.3 cells in 4 linear inches. The weight of each sheet should be 62.5 gms i.e., the number of sheets per kilograms should be 14-16.
8Bee Veils: The Bee Veils should be made of good quality Terrycot cloth of Khakhi / Green colour with cloth mating Jalli 9” of white colour in front with no hindrances in vision. The length of the cap of veil should be 5 ¼” long & lower portion of the veil should be 14” long. There should be two rings of dia 12” reinforcing uniformly which could hold veil away from the face & well ventilated designed allowing easy body movement
9Bee Gloves: The gloves should be made of good quality Terrycot cloth with white / Khakhi coloured elbow & they should cover the fore arms. The length of gloves should not be less than 15 inches
10Hive tools (Food Grade Stainless Steel): The toll should be made of flat iron about 20 Cms long, 3 Cms wide & 0.3 Cms thick. It should be somewhat sharp on one end & 5 Cms apart at the both end and is bent at an angle of 80 degree. There should be one small hole of size 6mm in dia at the elongated side of the tool bent
11Un-capping knife (Food Grade Stainless Steel): It should be a double jacket knife made of soft iron having thickness 1mm. It should have sharp blade not less than 27 ½ Cms in length & 6.3 Cms. In width, pointed at one end and with wooden handle at the other end. The knife should have galvanized nozzle on the upper surface of the blade having length 18 Cms & width 4Cms with a provision for outlet and inlet of steam
