Name of Work: In-services Inspections during MTA 2022 at HWP [Manuguru].

1Eddy Current Testing of shell & tube type heat exchangers tubes made of SS A 312 TP 316 L of size OD ; 20 mm & tube thickness :1.65 mm , length range : 3-10 metersscanning by using differential coil bobbin probe system with ECT equipment of MS-5800-E (Olympus make) (or) equivalent technology resolution with suitable extension cable for probe; accurately inspecting the tube ID and OD pitting, baffle cutting, erosion, general wall losses and other defects in heat exchanger tubes. The data acquisition, interpretation and analysis through multi-view software and carto lite tube sheet mapping software or equivalent.The execution of job with qualified ASNT/ISNT Level-II/III personal for carrying out the ECT Scanning /Interpretation / Submission of reports as perHWPM approved procedure/ ASME - Section V article 8 / ASME Section-XI.The job should be carried out in 30 days with three parallel ECT machines and NDT qualified personnel.The calibration tube and suitable probes shall be arranged by contractor along with the above facility.
2(ST-1) Liquid penetrant testing of weldments on Pressure vessels, shell skirt joints, stiffener ring of XU towers, small & large dia gas pipe lines of size 2” to 36” NB (including supply of consumables and DP Kits) by ASNT/ISNT LPT level-II qualified & experienced persons including surface preparation with pre & post cleaning of weldments. LPT has to be done as per HWP (M) approved procedures and Evaluation & submission of reports in accordance with HWP (M) approved procedures & ASME Sec-V Article-6.
3Wet magnetic fluorescent particle testing (WFMPT) of tower site weld joints by using AC/DC yoke method of Magnaflux or reputed make & by qualified and experienced MPT Level-II personnel including surface preparation with pre & post cleaning of weldments (demagnetization etc.) internal vessel/Towers . The WFMPT has to be done and Evaluation & submission of reports in accordance with HWP (M) approved procedures and as per ASME section-V Article-7.
4UT thickness measurements& mapping on towers / vessels by using 38DL plus of Olympus make instrument along with high temperature probing up to 3500C with suitable couplant and instrument with inbuilt temperature compensation feature for accuracy in thickness measurement through coat technology along with ASNT / ISNT UT Level-II qualified personnel of two teams. The job includes corrosion monitoring locations [CML] pocket windows of 150x150mm size opening, surface preparation, thickness measurement, post cleaning and re-fixing of CML pocket windows properly and submission of final reports by qualified personnel reports in accordance with HWP (M) approved procedures.
5Ultrasonic flaw detection examination of welds including HAZ area on CS/SS towers skirts, critical welds of XU towers and large dia. gas pipe lines with UT by using KRAUTKRAMER/ SONATEST/ Olympus Epoch 600 make or equivalent UT flaw detectors with same make probes by ASNT/ISNT UT level-II / III qualified & experienced persons. The job includes surface preparation with pre/post cleaning of weldments. UT scanning by pulse-echo method, Evaluation & submission of reports in accordance with HWP (M) approved procedures & ASME Sec-V Article-4.
6Hardness measurement with portable in-situ hardness tester by preparing the metal surfaces of (C.S. & S.S) towers/vessels/piping should be grounded finish to grit size 400 at least and at selected should be taken. The instruments are of Equatip-3 (Proceq make) / GE-Dyna-pocket (rebound hardness testing) or probably non-denting instruments with qualified experienced personnel.
7Phased array : PAUT C-scanning of XU- towers surfaces/ large dia gas piping surfaces externally corrosion mapping by using Olympus OMINISCAN MXtechnology or equivalent along with accessories & execution by ASNT/ ISNT level-II/III UT qualified & experienced in corrosion mapping.Surface preparation & online PAUT C-Scanning wherever necessary, interpretation of results and report submission. The job also includes surface preparation with pre/post cleaning. Finally executing the job with Phased array C-Scan through TOMO view software and for interpretation of results, the reports and shall inferred as per ASME Sec-XI, DIV - I, For Class-II components criteria.
