The scope shall include rain water harvesting for entire plant including Coal handling plant, ash handling plant inside plant boundary. The scope shall include preparation of rain water calculations, calculations for ground recharge/collection, ecnomical design of rain water harvesting with diferent options under discussion with BHEL/NTPC and submit design, drawings, report to Ground water board, obtain approval from Ground water board & Customer and on completion of work get the completion approval for rain water harvesting from Ground water board. This includes visits to site with/without ground water board officials and rate of this item shall include all expeses of consultancy, site visits etc. required from start of work till final obtaining of compeltion approval from ground water board. Payment for execution of rain water harvesting ponds shall be paid separately.Payment for execution of ground water recharge scheme shall be paid separately as per BOQ item 1845 & 1846.

493	Supplying and filling with selected good earth of approved quality inlayers not exceeding 300 mm loose thickness usingborrowed soil (borrowed soil to be arranged by the bidder) and compacted so as to achieve at least 95 % maximum dry density as per IS-2720 (Part-VII) including royalty/seignorage fee (if any),sorting, spreading, breaking clods, watering, ramming/compaction by manual/mechanical means, dressing, finishing to required lines, grades and slopes, tesing etc all complete.
494	Providing & Laying granular sub-base using close graded Material conforming to MORTH specification (Table 400-1, Grading-I), mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of mixed material to work site, for all leads & lifts, spreading in uniform layers of specified thickness on prepared surface and compacting with vibratory power roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per specifications, drawings and directions of Engineer-in-Charge.
495	Providing & Laying water bound macadam sub base / base course with stone aggregate 53 mm to 22.4 mm size stone conforming to MORTH specification (Table 400-7) mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of mixed material to work site, for all leads & lifts, spreading in uniform layers of specified thickness on prepared surface and compacting with vibratory power roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per specifications, drawings and directions of Engineer-in-Charge.
496	LEVELING & GRADING:Levelling & grading works including all labour, material (unless otherwise specified in BOQ/contract specification), equipment etc.as per specification, drawings and as directed by engineer - in - charge.
497	Earth work in stripping of top soil upto a maximum depth of 0.30 m below ground level so as to exclude all debris, grass, vegetation, bushes, trees having girth upto 300mm including roots and organic materials etc for leveling and grading including dressing to specified levels & grades and compacting the graded/stripped surface by manual/mechanical means, disposal of stripped materials within a lead upto 1km etc all complete as per specification, drawing and as directed by the engineer-in-charge.
498	Earthworkinexcavation upto any depth below ground level in all types of soilincluding ashwhich can be excavated by any means for grading including setting out, levelling,dewatering (wherever required), shoring &strutting (wherever required), dressing the sides & bottom, levelling to grade, all lifts, ramming/compacting the excavated bottom/graded surface, stacking/disposal of surplus excavated materialswithin a lead upto 1km, spreading/levelling of disposed materials etc all complete as per specification, drawing and as directed by the engineer-in-charge.
499	Earth work in filling upto any depth below ground level for grading to proper grade and level in layers not exceeding 300mm compacted thickness so as to achieve at least 95% maximum dry density as per IS-2720 (Part-VII) with surplus stacked soil/soft rock and compacted as specified including re-excavation of stacked earth, all lifts, dewatering if required, sorting, spreading, breaking clods, watering, ramming/compaction by manual/mechanical means, dressing, finishing to required lines, grades and slopes, tesing etc all complete as per specification, drawing and as directed by the engineer-in-charge.
500	Extra over ST No. 2601 to 2609 for carriage ofmaterial/earthfor every 500m or part thereof beyond an initial lead of 1 km.
501	Carriage for stacking/ backfilling of serviceable material/ earth
502	Carriage for disposal of serviceable/unserviceable material/ earth
503	Providing and laying 300mm thick stone pitching including caulking with 1 cement: 4 sand mortar on the slopes of earth fill/cut with approved quality of rock fragments including materials, testing, necessary excavations if any, compaction etc all completeas per specification, drawing and as directed by the engineer. (Cement shall be issued by BHEL free of cost as per TCC)
