Tender For Dry Docking Of Fact Barge Pragatiyan-2023 -Preparation of docking plan for the Pragatiyan barge. 2 Item Code : 02To & Fro Transportation of Pragatiyan barge from Q10 Berth, Willingdon Island to Xontractors Yard.Crew required for the navigation of the barge is under the scope of contractor. 3 Item Code: 03Dry Docking of Pragatiyan barge as per the approved docking plan 4 Item Code 04:Dock Hire Charges of the Yard. 5 Item Code 05:Wharfage Charges of the Yard. 6 Item Code 06:Undocking of Pragatiyan barge from contractors yard after the completion of the repair works. 7 Item Code 07:Shore Power Supply- 3 Phase, 415 V,50Hz. 8 Item Code 08:Emptying Diesel & Oil tanks in the barge. Providing closed containers and space in the yard for storing the drained diesel & oil from the tanks in the barge. Refilling diesel to the barge after completion of the repair works.Note : Entire materials & manpower required for the emptying, storing & refilling of Diesel & Oil tanks in the barge are under the scope of contractor. 9 Item Code 09:High pressure water jet cleaning of barge afterdry docking:All accessible spaces of the barge shall be cleaned by using high pressure water cleaning. External surfaces shall be free of dirt, marine growths, barnacles etc..Sludge,muck,debris & mud in ballast tanks, bilge, cargo area, sea chest, fresh water tanks,fuel Tanks, store Area etc.. shall be cleared and disposed off to shoreNote: Entire materials & manpower required for cleaning of the barge are under the scope of contractor. 10 Item Code 10:Gas free certification of the diesel tanks by Yard. 11 Item Code 11:Performing Ultrasound Thickness Gauging (UTG) at areas recommended by the surveyor. Rate to be quoted per point gauging by Ultrasound thickness guage.Note: Entire materials, equipment(Ultrasound thickness guage) & manpower required for performing the thickness measurement are under the scope of contractor. 12 Item Code 12:Steel Plate Renewal-Steel Plate renewal includes replacement of associated beams, channels, angles, stiffeners etc.. connected to the plates.Areas that are marked by Classification society/KIV/FACT for steel renewal shall be repaired by Contractor. All material used for the steel renewal works shall be confirming to IRS Grade A. Only welders who have qualified the WQT shall be assigned for the repair works.NDT tests like RT,UT,DP,MPI etc.. if required after the carrying out the repair works shall be under the scope of contractor.Note: Entire materials & manpower required for the steel plate renewal works of the barge are under the scope of contractor. 13 Item Code 13:Renewal of Anodes:All Type A ( 8 kg) zinc anodes on the barge shall be replaced. Replaced anodes shall be of class approved and shall contain zinc content of atleast 98%.Note: Entire materials & manpower required for replacing Type A zinc anodes are under scope of contractor. 14 Item Code 14:Renewal of Anodes:All Type B ( 5 kg) zinc anodes on the barge shall be replaced. Replaced anodes shall be of class approvedand shall contain zinc content of atleast 98%.Note: Entire materials & manpower required for replacing Type B zinc anodes are under scope of contractor. 15 Item Code 15:Renewal of Anodes:All Type C ( 3 kg) zinc anodes on the barge shall be replaced. Replaced anodes shall be of class approvedand shall contain zinc content of atleast 98%.Note: Entire materials & manpower required for replacing Type C zinc anodes are under scope of contractor. 16 Item Code 16:Replacement of damaged D type hollow fenders (Base : 150 mm x 150 mm) on the Barge. Damaged Fasteners of D tpe hollow fenders shall also be replaced by contractor.Note: Entire materials & manpower required for the replacement of D-fender are under the scope of contractor. 17 Item Code 17:Fore peak space cleaning:Fore peak space shall be cleaned and made ready for Classification agency/KIV Inspection.Sludge,muck,debris & mud in the fore peak space shall be cleared and disposed off to shoreNote: Entire materials & manpower required for the cleaning of Fore peak space shall be under the scope of contractor. 18 Item Code 18:Cargo hold cleaning:Cargo hold shall be cleaned and made ready for Classification agency/KIV Inspection.Sludge,muck,debris & mud in the cargo hold shall be cleared and disposed off to shore.Note: Entire materials & manpower required for the cleaning of cargo hold space shall be under the scope of contractor. 19 Item Code 19:Ballast Tank Cleaning:Ballast Tanks shall be cleaned and made ready for the Classification agency/KIV Inspection.Sludge, muck, debris & mud in ballast tanks shall be cleared and disposed off to shore.Note:Note: Entire materials & manpower required for the cleaning of Ballast Tanks shall be under the scope of contractor. 20 Item Code 20:Chain Locker & Store space cleaning-Chain Locker & Store spaceshall be cleaned and made ready for Classification agency/KIV inspectionSludge,muck,debris, oil, grease & mud in the chain locker & Store space shall be cleaned & disposed off to shore.Note: Entire materials & manpower required for the cleaning of Chain Locker & Store space shall be under the scope of contractor. 21 Item Code21:Fresh water Tanks Cleaning-Fresh water tanks shall be cleaned and made ready for Classification agency/KIV Inspection.Sludge,muck,debris and mud in fresh water tanks shall be cleared & disposed off to shore.Note: Entire materials & manpower required for the cleaning of fresh water tanks shall be under the scope of contractor. 22 Item Code 22:Fuel Oil Tanks Cleaning:Fuel oil tanks shall be cleaned and made ready for Classification agency/KIV Inspection.Sludge & muck in the fuel oil tanks shall be cleared & disposed off to shore.Note: Entire materials & manpower required for the cleaning of fuel oil tanks shall be under the scope of contractor. 23 Item Code 23Sea Chest:Sea Chest to be opened and cleaned. Mud, muck & Sludge to be removed from the sea chest and disposed ashore. Gratings to be inspected and cleaned. All fasteners of the gratings to be replaced.Note: Entire materials & manpower required for the cleaning & repair works in Sea Chest shall be under the scope of contractor. 24 Item Code 24:Supplyof starboard & port side propellersas per drg No. VM/FEW/001 Material of Construction: Mn Bronze Gr.Cu 1.Propellers supplied shall be of class approved. 25 Item Code 25:Propeller-Removal of existing propellers of the barge from the propeller shaft.Repalcing it with the new propellers. New propellers shall be of class approved.Fastners & Gaskets used in the hub and sealing flange to be replaced with new ones.Note: Entire materials and manpower required for the replacement of the propellers are under scope of contractor. 26 Item Code 26:Propeller Shafts:Propeller shafts to be removed from the stern tube. Entire shaft surface shall be DP tested to check whether any surface cracks or abrasion marks or striations are present. If cracks or striations are found, these shall be suitably repaired by welding.Deflection of the shafts to be measured and confirmed within limits. If not, bend correction to be done.Threaded portion and keyways on shaft to be inspected.Any damages on these portions to be repaired.Aft & Forward bearing of the propeller shafts to be replaced with new one prior to fixing of the shaft. New bearings shall be of class approved.Rope guards on the shaft shall be checked for any damages. Damages,if any, shall be repaired.All fasteners to be replaced with new ones. Entire fasteners used for fixing the key, bearings, Gland Follower, Rope guard & Stub shaft shall be of new ones and confirming to specifications mentionedin Drg No: VM/FEW/001/301. Balancing of the propellers are to be done prior to fixing of the shafts.Note: Entire materials and manpower required for the repair works( as mentioned above) in propeller shaft are under the scope of contractor. 27 Item Code 27Rudder: Rudder Blade, Rudder Stock & Tillershall be completely removed and inspected.Rudder Blade coupling bolts to be replaced.Any damages on the rudder blade shall be rectified.Entire surface of the rudder stock shall be DP tested to check whether any surface cracks or abrasion marks or striations are present. If cracks or abrasion marks or striations are found, these shall be suitably repaired by welding.Deflection of the rudder stock to be measured and confirmed within limits. If not, bend correction and of the shaftsto be done.Threaded portion and keyways on rudder stock to be inspected. Any damages on these portions shall berepaired.Upper & Lower bearing of the rudder stock shall be replaced. Bearing housing located at both upper and lower side shall be checked for any damages. Damages, if any, shall be repaired.Tiller & Tiller Rod shall be inspected for any damages. Any damages found shall be suitable repaired.All fasteners to be replaced with new ones. Fasteners replaced shall be confirming to the specifications mentioned in Drg no.VM/FEW/001/208 & VM/FEW/001/208ANote: Entire materials & manpower required for the repair works (as mentioned above) of the rudder, rudder stock & tiller are under the scope of contractor. 28 Item Code 28:Steering System:Hydraulic Lines of the steering system shall be checked for any leakages and damages. If any damages are found in the hydralic lines, same shall be replaced with new ones of same pressure rating.Leakages, if any , at coupling ends of line shall be arrested.Hydraulic cylinder for actuating the rudders shall be overhauled.All seals ( Piston seals, Piston rod seals, Cushion seals, Cylinder Head seals etc..) & wear strips/rings shall be replaced. Piston rod, Piston, tie-rods, Barrel & Heads shall be inspected for any damages.Directional control valves/Servo valves /relief valves in the steering system to be inspected & Overhauled. O-rings in directional control valves/Servo valves to be changed. Solenoids of the valves to be checked for the actuation. Solenoids to be replaced if actuation of the spool is not done properly. Valve seats in the relief valves to replaced and pressure tested to the required pressure.Hydraulic Pumpto be removed from Port side engine drive and overhauled. Seals & bearings in the helm pump & engine driven hydraulic pump shall be replaced with new ones.Fresh Hydraulic oil to be filled in the lines and steering fluid tank by the contractor after carrying out required maintenance works.Note: Entire materials and manpower required for the overhauling works(as mentioned above) of the steering system are under the scope of contractor. 29 Item Code 29:Electrical System:Main switch board, all junction box circuit breakers, control panels ofequipment on deck, wheel house and engine room to be thoroughly examined.Damaged cables to be repaired and replaced. Payment for the cables procured shall be paid extra against the document evidence. Safetymeasures in the electrical system like overload trip, reverse current trip, low voltage trip and interlock between the breaker are to be shown to the surveyor.Note: Entire materials and manpower required for the inspection, repair works(as mentioned above) & testing of the electrical system are under the scope of contractor. 30 Item Code 30:Inspection & testing of fire sensors/alarm, Smoke sensor &bilgesensor/alarm:The sensors and alarms shall be inspected for proper working condition. If sensons/alarms are found to be not operating, same shall be repaired or replaced with with new ones. Contractor shall arrange the new sensors/alarms, if needed to be replaced based on the recommendation from classification agency. Payment for the procurement of the sensors/alarm shall be paid extra against the document evidence.Note: Entire materials and manpower required for the inspection, repair works(as mentioned above) & testing of the sensors/alarm are under the scope of contractor. 31 Item Code 31:Anchor :Anchor and anchor chain shall be thoroughly cleaned by chipping and scrapping. Swivels, shackles,stud links & open links of the anchor chain shall be inspected for the damages.All moving components of the anchor to be freed and anchor to be painted with 2 coats of bismatic paint.Note: Entire materials and manpower required for the repair works of anchor and anchor chains (as mentioned above) are under the scope of contractor. 32 Item Code 32:Windlass:Windlass shall be completely dismantled and overhauled. All bearings & pins shall be lubricated. All brake linings & clutches plates to be inspected for any damages. Any damaged bearings, brake lining & clutch plates shall be replaced as per the recommendation of the Classification agency/KIV/FACT. Only welders who have qualified the WQT shall be assigned for the repair works. NDT tests like RT,UT,DP,MPI etc.. if required after the carrying out the repair works shall be under the scope of contractor. 13Item Code 13: Renewal of Anodes: All Type A ( 8 kg) zinc anodes on the barge shall be replaced. Replaced anodes shall be of class approved and shall contain zinc content of atleast 98%. Note: Entire materials & manpower required for replacing Type A zinc anodes are under scope of contractor.

25Item Code 25: Propeller- Removal of existing propellers of the barge from the propeller shaft.Repalcing it with the new propellers. New propellers shall be of class approved. Fastners & Gaskets used in the hub and sealing flange to be replaced with new ones. Note: Entire materials and manpower required for the replacement of the propellers are under scope of contractor.
26Item Code 26: Propeller Shafts: Propeller shafts to be removed from the stern tube. Entire shaft surface shall be DP tested to check whether any surface cracks or abrasion marks or striations are present. If cracks or striations are found, these shall be suitably repaired by welding. Deflection of the shafts to be measured and confirmed within limits. If not, bend correction to be done. Threaded portion and keyways on shaft to be inspected.Any damages on these portions to be repaired. Aft & Forward bearing of the propeller shafts to be replaced with new one prior to fixing of the shaft. New bearings shall be of class approved. Rope guards on the shaft shall be checked for any damages. Damages,if any, shall be repaired. All fasteners to be replaced with new ones. Entire fasteners used for fixing the key, bearings, Gland Follower, Rope guard & Stub shaft shall be of new ones and confirming to specifications mentionedin Drg No: VM/FEW/001/301. Balancing of the propellers are to be done prior to fixing of the shafts. Note: Entire materials and manpower required for the repair works( as mentioned above) in propeller shaft are under the scope of contractor.
27Item Code 27 Rudder: Rudder Blade, Rudder Stock & Tillershall be completely removed and inspected. Rudder Blade coupling bolts to be replaced.Any damages on the rudder blade shall be rectified. Entire surface of the rudder stock shall be DP tested to check whether any surface cracks or abrasion marks or striations are present. If cracks or abrasion marks or striations are found, these shall be suitably repaired by welding. Deflection of the rudder stock to be measured and confirmed within limits. If not, bend correction and of the shaftsto be done. Threaded portion and keyways on rudder stock to be inspected. Any damages on these portions shall berepaired. Upper & Lower bearing of the rudder stock shall be replaced. Bearing housing located at both upper and lower side shall be checked for any damages. Damages, if any, shall be repaired. Tiller & Tiller Rod shall be inspected for any damages. Any damages found shall be suitable repaired. All fasteners to be replaced with new ones. Fasteners replaced shall be confirming to the specifications mentioned in Drg no.VM/FEW/001/208 & VM/FEW/001/208A Note: Entire materials & manpower required for the repair works (as mentioned above) of the rudder, rudder stock & tiller are under the scope of contractor.
28Item Code 28: Steering System: Hydraulic Lines of the steering system shall be checked for any leakages and damages. If any damages are found in the hydralic lines, same shall be replaced with new ones of same pressure rating. Leakages, if any , at coupling ends of line shall be arrested. Hydraulic cylinder for actuating the rudders shall be overhauled. All seals ( Piston seals, Piston rod seals, Cushion seals, Cylinder Head seals etc..) & wear strips/rings shall be replaced. Piston rod, Piston, tie-rods, Barrel & Heads shall be inspected for any damages. Directional control valves/Servo valves /relief valves in the steering system to be inspected & Overhauled. O-rings in directional control valves/Servo valves to be changed. Solenoids of the valves to be checked for the actuation. Solenoids to be replaced if actuation of the spool is not done properly. Valve seats in the relief valves to replaced and pressure tested to the required pressure. Hydraulic Pumpto be removed from Port side engine drive and overhauled. Seals & bearings in the helm pump & engine driven hydraulic pump shall be replaced with new ones. Fresh Hydraulic oil to be filled in the lines and steering fluid tank by the contractor after carrying out required maintenance works. 29Item Code 29: Electrical System: Main switch board, all junction box circuit breakers, control panels ofequipment on deck, wheel house and engine room to be thoroughly examined. Damaged cables to be repaired and replaced. Payment for the cables procured shall be paid extra against the document evidence. Safety measures in the electrical system like overload trip, reverse current trip, low voltage trip and interlock between the breaker are to be shown to the surveyor.
