| 20 | b) Removal ofallloose and disintegrated cement plaster , concrete from the structure by gentle tapping of thesurface,upto the required depth till sound concrete is available including exposing the corroded reinforcing bars. Removal of the concrete in affected part, shall be such that it is removed 2-3 mm beyond the damaged bars, to enable to apply corrosion resistant coating. |
| 21 | c) The reinforcement shall be cleaned thoroughly with wire brush to remove the rust,dirt etc. and applying two coats of corrosion protection treatment for the existing steel reinforcement with Cerazinc ZR or equivalent as per the manufacturer\"s specificationand placing adequate new reinforcement in position wherever required, as directed by the Engineer - in -Charge. (The rate of new reinforcement shall be paid separately under item no. 4 a). |
