2Construction (Boring, Providing & Installing) of BORED CAST-IN-SITU R.C.C. STRAIGHT SHAFTED PILESof 500 mm DIAMETER and specified length below the pile cap with M35 grade concrete, using Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) 53 grade conforming to IS: 12269 (latest Rev.) of approved makewith a minimum cement content of 400kg/Cu.m. and stone chips of 20mm and down size, through all types of stratato carry a safe working load not less than specified including confirming that pile rests on hard strata having Nvalue greater than or equal to 100,excluding the cost of steel reinforcement but including the cost of boring with TRACTOR MOUNTED HYDRAULIC RIGSusing direct/reverse mud circulation method, hydraulic operated grab,maintaning borehole sides in position by bentonite slurry by direct mud circulation method, tremie concreting and temporary casing of appropriate length for setting out and removal of same and the length of the pile to be embedded in the pile cap etc. This also includes supply of necessary material including admixtures, plastisizers if required(quantity as permix design report recommendation) & carrying out any ancillary work adjunct to piling work, disposal of surplus materials including earth, muck at designated place outside the refinery premises upto a lead of 7kmwith all leads and lifts, shifting plant and equipments from one pile location to another, mobilising & demobilising of required number of piling/boring rigs & ancillary equipments, tools, tackles & labour all complete, as per specifications, drawings & directions of Engineer-in-charge etc.Note: 1) Payment length shall be measured below the cut off level.Maximum cut off level will be 2m from the exisiting HPP.No payment shall be made for the empty boring made above cut off level .2) Minimum 2 Nos. of piling rigs to be mobilised.
3Supplying and placing in position HIGH STRENGTH DEFORMED STEEL BARS REINFORCEMENT (conforming to IS:1786, Grade Fe500), for 500mm dia RCC bored cast-in-situ piles for full length of pile, with helical ties, including transporting the Steel, straightening, cleaning, decoiling, cutting, bending to required shapes and lengths as per details, binding it in positionby 16 SWG black soft annealed binding wire, at every intersection, supplying and placing with proper cover blocks, supports, chairs, overlaps, spacers, inner rings welding to main longitudinal rods to form a rigid cage for all heights and depths, guide bar etc. complete as per the specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge.
4Conducting STANDARD PENETRATION TESTS in soil, weathered rock, soft rock and hard rock during boringfor 500mm diameter pile as directed, at every change in stratum or at intervals of not more than 1.5m which ever is less,starting at 15m below ground level as directed by Engineer-in-charge, including using a new SPT shoe for each test.
5CUTTING THE HEADS OF RCC PILES of500mm dia and a length not exceeding 2m including exposing/cleaning, bending of the reinforcements making site clean for casting of pile cap, removal and disposal of debris at designated place outside the refinery premises up to a lead of 7km all complete as per the specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge.
6Conducting LOW STRAIN INTEGRITY TEST on500mm dia piles as per ASTM D 5882, including pile head preparation, mobilisation & demobilisation of testing apparatus/ equipments, skilled personnel, data collection/recording,analyzing the results, preparing comprehensive report and submitting the same in 5 copies, all complete as per specifications and instructions of Engineer-in-Charge.
7Excavating TRIAL PITS manually of required size & depth upto 3m at locations as specified with necessary shoring, dewatering & backfillingas required, etc. complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer in Charge.
8EARTHWORK EXCAVATION by mechanical/manual means below ground level for all kinds of works in all types of soils except soft rock and hard rock as classified in specification for a depth up to 1.5m including removal of vegetation, shrubs and debris,removal of surface/rain water, cutting and dressing of sides in slopes, levelling, grading and ramming of bottoms and keeping the surface dry for subsequent works and disposal or stacking of excavated material within a lead of 100m including providing shoring & strutting if required,providing temporary supports to existing service lines like water pipes, sewage pipes, electric cables,OWS/ CRWS pipes,chambers,storm water drain walls etc; all complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
9Same as Item No:80 above but for depths beyond 1.5m and upto 3m.
10BACKFILLING after execution of work to proper grade and level with selected materials from available excavated soil from soil heaps within a lead of 100m, including re-excavating the deposited soil excavated earlier, breaking clods, laying at all depths & heights in layers of thickness not exceeding 150mm watering, rolling and ramming by manual methods / mechanical compactors, dressing, trimming, etc., in foundations, trenches, pits, etc. including all labours, tools & tackles etc all complete as per the specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge.
11TRANSPORTING & DISPOSING the surplus earth & debris including shrubs and vegetations from construction area (beyond the initial lead of 100m) to the designated area outside the refinery premises up to a lead of 7km (Vaikkadu Village) including re-excavating the deposited soil excavated earlier, transportation, loading, unloading, laying at all depths & heights, stacking, levelling and dressing both areas (viz., from where the earth is transported and where it is deposited) to required levels and slopes complete with all lifts as directedby Engineer in Charge.( Note: If measured by stacks 30%voids will be deducted.)
12Providing&laying DRY RUBBLE SOLING (Hard Core) with 20 to 40 mm size metal, under foundations/ Ground floor slab (Grade slab) etc., including filling recesses by grit, stone chips & approved murrum, watering, dressing, compacting with mechanical compactors etc., complete as per drawings, specifications and as per thedirections of Engineer-in-charge.
13Providing, mixing and laying of PCC 1:4:8 (1 cement: 4 M-sand : 8 coarse aggregate ) nominal mix using 40mm and downgraded coarse aggregate andOrdinary portland cement 53 grade for any thickness belowfoundations, Pile cap, raft, Grade slab , Pipe sleepers & supports etc., including shuttering, tamping, ramming, vibrating, curing, etc., all in any shape, position, thickness and finishing the top surface rough or smooth as specified and directed all complete, as per drawings, specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

16Manufacturing, transporting, supplying and erecting in position RCC PRECAST ELEMENTS such as cover slabs for cable trench,culvert etc. of M-35 grade with20mm and down size graded crushed stone aggregates as per IS:456-2000,with minimum cement content of 400kg/Cu.m usingOrdinary Portland Cement (OPC) 53 grade each unit upto and inclusive of 1000kg. 18Providing and fixing CENTERING & SHUTTERING in SUB-STRUCTURE for all depths and for a height of 1m above the existing grade level, including strutting, bracing, propping, keeping the same in position during concreting and removal of the same after specified period, application of mould releasing agents ofapproved make, for Straight/Inclined Shuttering, keeping necessary provision for inserts, projecting dowels, anchor bolts or any other fixture, etc., all complete and as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

22Providing and placing in position suitable PVC WATER STOPS serrated with central bulb(225mm wide, 8-11mm thick) conforming to IS:12200 for construction/expansion joints between two RCC members and fixed to the reinforcement with binding wire before pouring concreteincluding material & labour charges etc.all completeas directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
23Providing and applying approved EPOXY RESINfor bonding of fresh concrete to old concrete in all types of structures such as extension of existing sleepers & pipe supports etc., at all depths and heights including cleaning of concrete surfaces, removing of all loose concrete pieces, making rough by chiselling, taking off the skin of concrete, application of Epoxy Resin System as per manufacture"s recommendations taking all safety measures, etc.complete as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
24Providing and laying BRICK MASONRYinSUBSTRUCTUREusing cement mortar 1:5 (1 Cement:5 M Sand) and Class 5.0 bricks at all depths including the cost of materials, labour,tools and tackles, scaffolding/staging, sampling and testing, soaking of bricks, cutting and laying of bricks, providing recesses, finishing the joints flush below ground level , curing, etc. all complete as per specifications, and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
25Providing 15mm THICK CEMENT PLASTERin Cement Mortar 1:4(1 Cement:4 M sand by volume) onbrickmasonry, PCC/RCC surfaces including preparation of base, cleaning, chipping, packing of electrical, plumbing works, scaffolding if required, finishing, curingincludingmouldings and providing grooves in plaster,bands ,mouldings etc. as specifiedfor all depths and heights including labour charges,tools and tackles,material costs etc. as per specifications and asdirected by the Engineer-in-Charge.
26Providing & fixing in position Bitumen impregnatedboard 12 mm thk. of approved make PREMOULDED BITUMINOUS EXPANSION JOINT FILLER BOARDS conforming to IS:1838-P1/1983 in joints including application of primer as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
27Providing & filling in joints BITUMASTIC SEALING COMPOUND 12 to 17mm width x 20 to 25 mm depthofapprovedmake conforming to IS:1834 latest revision Grade A including one coat of primer as per manufacturer’s specifications, drawings & as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
28Supplying, transporting, storing, fabricating & erecting in position bolted and / or weldedSTRUCTURAL STEEL WORKS like angles,channels, beams, plates confirming Grade E250 BR to IS: 2062 etc.at all heights & levels and locations including all builtup sections/ compound sectionsmade out of rolled sections and / or plates / bent plates inexisting / new structural pipe supports, frames, etc., cutting to required size, straightening/bending if required, edge preparation,cleaning, scrapping & welding ofunsoundjoints in existing structural members, preheating, (including sealing of box section with continuous welding ) finishing edges by grinding , fixing in line and level with temporary bracings,including providing staging, scaffoldings, & working platforms at all heights, and removal of same after erection,including preparing the surface for painting ,grit blasting, surface cleaning, wire brushing, removal of mill scale, dust, rust, oil or grease etc complete along with providing paint system as follows:(a) Applying inorganic zinc silicate coat 75 micron DFT(b) Two coats of Epoxy primer paint 75 micron DFT each(c) Two coats of Anti Rust epoxy top coat paint 100 micron DFT each as per manufacturer"s specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. NOTE:-One coat of Zinc silicate and one coat of Epoxy primer shall be applied on structural steel surfaces after grit blast cleaning in workshop prior to erectionas specified & directed by Engineer-in-charge. Supply of all materials in contractor"s scope.
29Supplying, transporting, storing, fabricating and fixing in position M.S. STEEL INSERTS(withlugs)asshownin drawing including fabrication to any shape made out of flats, plates, rolled sections, sleeves, pipes etc. providing necessary templates, staging, cutting, straightening, if required, bolting, welding as required and embedding in position on both Plain,Reinforced Cement concrete members inclusive of adjusting shuttering & reinforcement/any other fixture, welding where ever necessary, tying and holding to correct level, line and position, any auxilliary dummy structures to support the heavy inserts,& painting with one shop coat of Inorganic zinc silicate primer and finsihing with two coats of anti rust epoxy paint of approved brand and colour ,etc complete as perdrawing,specification and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

41Providing necessary BARRICADING WORKSwith 1mm thick corrugated GI sheets and supporting with necessary structural steel arrangements including scafffolding pipes and tubes for a maximum height of 3 m , embedding the same in firm ground etc. Rate quoted should include mobilisation and erection of the above items including demobilisation after completion of works.The same will be the property of Contractor.
42Providing necessaryBARRICADING WORKS with 1mm thick corrugated GI sheets taking supports from existing structural members within the plant for a maximum height of 6m.Rate quoted should include mobilisation and erection of the above item including demobilisation after completion of works.The same will be the property of Contractor.Payment shall be based on the area of sheet utilised for barricading.
43Supply of 5HP Diesel Driven DEWATERING PUMP on hire basis on all days including Sundays on 8 hrs.shift,along with all accessories including hoses and one operator for pumping out of water including dewatering excavation pits,oily trenches/ pits etc. for all depths by contractor"s own pump as per directions of Engineer in Charge.The job also includes supplying of all types of pumps,tools and tackles,hoses,fuel,all consumables and labour to complete the job in all respects as directed by Enginee in Charge.
44Supply of JCB on hire basis on all days including Sundays on 8 hrs.shift including driver,assistant /fuel/oil/lubricants /all consumables etc. complete. The quoted rate should include mobilization, operator crew"s/driver /assistant cost,tools, tackles etc., as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
