| 2 | Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of duct mounted Air purification Ultra Violet Germicidal Irradiations (UVGI) System including cutting of AC duct & fixing arrangement for improvement to maintain Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), microbe disinfection of various sizes as per site selection chart for Energy Saving as per Specifications. The system shall comply with UL standard 1995 as applicable to usage of UVGI system in HVAC equipment & UV Lamps fabricated with special high transmission Soft glass of length 36 & 64 inch respectively as per the requirement having high output, hot cathode medium 4 pin single ended type. The Average Life of UV lamps Shall be 9000 hrs. The UVGI System shall consist of UV lamps, parabolic reflector with its mounting assembly and control panel. The Control Panel for the entire UVGI System to be mounted outside the AHU and should consists of ballast, MCB SP, Indication lights, Hour meter to show real running time of the entire system including providing & fixing all necessary material for the frame structure, top & bottom mounting cups, pre drilled vertical telescopic aluminium channels or guide grills, screws etc. as required. The entire system should be installed under the guidance of OEM/ Channel partner for proper installation & healthy functioning, The system should consist of following features:- a) They shall produce 95% of their energy at 254 nm. UV lamp shall not produce ozone or other secondary contamination and to substantiate this the lamps shall be tested by an approved Indian lab for output performance of 254 nm. Lamp manufacturer has to submit the certificate from the lab. The lamp shall be high output type and should not be lower than 800 mA. The UV intensity of each lamp shall be 800µW/cm² when measured at a horizontal distance of 10 inches from the lamp. The UV Lamps manufactured or sourced from China shall strictly not be acceptable. The contractor shall specify the make and origin of the UVGI system being offered.b) UVGI System shall be provided with the primary aim of achieving substantial reduction in bacteria count, both airborne and/or on cooling coil surface. The UVGI system shall be designed to cover the entire face area of the cooling coil when installed in the AHU. The face velocity of dehumidified air over the coil will be 500 FPM or lower. When installed in the duct the face velocity can be higher.c) The UVGI system shall achieve near total elimination of bacteria/biomass on the cooling coil. Subsequently, the UVGI system may be kept in ON position 24/7 (even when the AHU is switched off or is not in operation) to ensure that the bacteria does not reappear.d) The UVGI system shall be suitable to operate with 230V+/- 10V, single phase A.C. supply.e) The UVGI System shall be free standing and be mounted in such a manner that lamps are in perpendicular position to air flow using Aluminium arrangement to be corrosion free.f) Output verification shall be carried out in accordance with the general provisions of IES lighting handbook, 1981 application volume, total output per one inch are length shall not be less than 10u W/cm2 at one meter.g) The ballast shall only be installed in a control panel and not inside the reflector assembly itself. The number of lamps in an UVGI System shall be calculated to ensure the minimum wattage as per selection chart based on 4016 microwatt. sec/cm2 dosage over 4 air changes.h) The reflectors shall be in parabolic in shape fabricated in Aluminium Alloy with minimum 80% reflectance of 254-nm UVC energy. Housings shall be made of robust materials, with Units having suitable electrical connectors to simplify wiring. High efficiency electronic power sources shall be suitable for 230V ±15%, 50Hz single phase AC operation with power factor more than 0.9 and THD less than 15%. Installation of ballast and control electronics shall be made outside the AHU, in a separate control panel, to avoid any effect on the electronic components due to moisture and to avoid additional heat generated load inside the AHUs. Proper UV caution labels shall be applied to control panel.i) Lamp & Ballast should be from same OEM Manufacturer. Country of origin for Lamp & Ballast should be US/Europe/Indiaj) Control panel shall have the following features :I) Electronic ballasts with high power factor of > 0.90,THD=15%, II) The ballasts shall be constant current output ballast over input voltage range, III) Microprocessor based control panel with LCD / LED Display, IV) Lamp run hours for timely and easy replacement, V) Individual lamp on/Off/Error Indicator, VI) Ballast Protection Circuit, VII) Suitably rated RCBO/MCB for ON/off for incoming Mains power, VIII) Control box ON / OFF, IX) FRLS cables & wires, X) Main power ON /OFF indicator, j) Control box should be made of powder coated MS material and size shall be as per site conditions/ directions of Engineer- In-Charge along with proper fixing arrangements, nuts, fasteners etc. complete as required. |
