The pipe shall be factory galvanised ( Zinc coating both inside and outside ) as per IS 4736-1986 ( With upto ammendments) with mass of Zinc Coating not less then 360 gram/sqm. The welding electrode shall be as IS 814:2004 of Advani ,Oerlikol/L&T or ISI marked make .The work shall be Done as per1% of total joints and remaining 99% joints with butt welded joints as detailedbelow. The MS flanges shall confirm to BIS 6392-1971 (with latest up to date amendments) duly welded in three layers (one inner and two outer) with pipes at both ends as per relevant BIS standards along with nuts and bolts of required sizes confirming to BIS 1364 (with upto date ammendments). 3mm thick compressed asbestos fiber/synthetic rubber gaskets confirming to relevant BIS standards. The laying of pipe shall include all operation such as cutting, welding, jointing, providing & fixing of MS flanges, fabrication of bends, tees,valves etc. including lowering and laying in excavated trenches to ensure required level including flushing, cleaning and hydraulic testing complete in all respects to the satisfaction of the Engineer in charge. The fabricated bends shall have three or four cuts having its radius not less than five times the dia of pipe. The pipes shall be factory galvanized (zinc coating both inside and outside) as per IS:4736 -1986 (with upto date ammendments) with mass of zink coating not less than 360 gm/m2. The PLC station will have control station with programmable graphic process, mimics, real time and historical trending face plate and group display, alarm management and report with Laser Jet printers and required furniture. Installation of hardware along with commissioning/ programming as per user requirement shall be done.The firm / contractor will provide the Bulk metering at Water Treatment Plants. The automation of the entire scheme upto Sector storage tank shall also include the followings : (a) At intake point : Provision shall be kept for automatic flow measurement and flow control with quality measurement turbidityin (b) Water Treatment Plant.Fully automatized operation including alum dosing and back washing and chlorinationfrom inlet to out let along with automatic sensor for Turbidity, pHand Residual chlorine) (c) Storage Water Tanks at lifting station:-Automatic Inlet and Out Let through single out flow pipe (common header), Low and high level sensoralong with all required accessories. It should also include telecommunication comprising of required numbers of connections as per actual requirement at site. Regular maintenance of all the facilities including cleaning , washing, oiling and greasing repairs, replacement of worn out/damaged parts of pumping machinery, pipe line, valves and electrical, Mechanical equipments, regular cleaning of all structure like Storage tanks, collection/distribution chambers,pump houses etc and disposal of same as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge, fixing/repairing leakage incivil structures, channels, pipe lines, pumping machinery etc. proper disinfection of treated water and regular testing of water samples at required stages of treatment and lift, keeping regular and proper record of water quantity and quality, time and hour of runof pumping machinery, repair and maintenance of all works,removal of all kind of slips, slush, up rooting of unwanted grass, shrubs, weeds etc. growing near the structures and keeping the area neat and clean to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge, planting and maintaining plants/flowers/trees around the pump house, WTP ,Main & Sector storage tanks / Intake etc. as per the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge including the cost of procurement of adequate and proper tools and plants, skilled and unskilled manpower, spare parts, oil/grease/lubricants, chemicals (Except bleaching powder) instruments, equipments, stationery and any other material etc. required for O&M excluding the cost of energy charges. All the operation shall be carried out as per the CPHEEO manual on water supply and treatment (latest addition) HP PWD/IPH specification,directions issued by Engineer-in-Charge from time to time and sound Engineering practice.
