3Supply of the Anthracite with effective size d10 of 1.0 mm to 1.6 mm as per item 1 above in quantity required as per design, properly graded and tested by supplier specifying the source of material and qualitycommensurate to the following specifications-SP Gravity-1.45-1.55, Uniformity coefficient of 1.7 or lower, Hardness grreater than 2.7 (Mohs scale ), Acid Solubility less than 5% , bulkdensity-0.73-0.76T/m3,Hardness -3MOH, Hardgrove-44-50,carboon cont.>90%,Ash-3.4%,Volatile-5.7%,HCL-10% NaOH, for 24 Hrs certification including all cost ,taxes conveyance to site loading & unloading etc. complete. (TheAnthracite filter sand shall be tested in Regional Research Laboratory/CPRI Labs of Goverment of India for its suitability ).
4Removing filter media from the filter beds without making any damages to the existing structures and back manifolds and stacking at a safe and convenient place for segregation process and as per the directions of the department officers etc. complete.
5Cleaning, drying and seiving the removed filter media and stacking the dismantled pebbles for reuse and spreading in the filter box in layers as per specifications and as per directions of the department officers.
6Repair/ Alteration of the under drain system by replacing all damaged pipes
with suitable arrangements and providing all additional mechanisms and fixtures required according to
the design of miulti layer filtering system complete.
7Modification / alteration of the existlng back washing system comprising of compressed air/ blower and clear water providing new air scouring system, providing new pressure regulating valves or such other mechanisms and flxtures required according to the design of multi layer fiiter media back washing operations complete.
8Washing and cleaning the fiter chamber and rectifying damages of filter walls including glazed tiles, preparing entire chamber suitable for dual media filter refurbishment.
9Supplying and stacking for measurement of filter sand having effective size 0.45 to 0.70 mm and uniformity coefficient 1.30 to 1.7, of specific gravity in the range of 2.55 - 2.65 and hard and clean, free from clay, dust and other impurities including cost of materials, labour charges and conveyance of materials up to 5 km and as per the directions of the department officers etc. complete and as per CPHEEO specification.
10Supplying of 2 to 6 mm and 6 to 12 mm size fine pebble (pebbles shall be hard, clean, free from clay, dust and other impurities), stacking in standard heaps for measurement including cost, conveyance up to 5 km and labour charges for stacking, spreading, testing and as per the directions of the department officers etc. complete as per CPHEEO specifications.
11Refurbishing the filter beds using dual layer filter media as per the design separately laying each grade of supporting gravelone above other separately as directed by the engineer in charge complete
12Trial running and maintaining the filter beds for a period of one month and providing training to the KWA personnel in the operation and maintenance of the new system including providing knowledge transfer to the concerned engineers of KWA assaigned for the purpose including all expences for such training etc. complete
13Charges for replacing the damaged gland packing of 400mm sluice valve afterremoving the damaged gland packing, inserting and tightening with asbestos rope using appropriate toolswithout causing any damage to the existing pipeline and other utilities, testing the pipeline with required pressure and rectifying any defects noticed, including hire and conveyance of tools and plant, bailing out water,and as per the direction of the departmental officers etc. complete.
14Charges for replacing the damaged gland packing of 350 mm sluice valve afterremoving the damaged gland packing, inserting and tightening with asbestos rope using appropriate toolswithout causing any damage to the existing pipeline and other utilities, testing the pipeline with required pressure and rectifying any defects noticed,including hire and conveyance of tools and plant, bailing out water,and as per the direction of the departmental officers etc. complete.
15Charges for replacing the damaged gland packing of 300mm sluice valve after removing the damaged gland packing, inserting and tightening with asbestos rope using appropriate toolswithout causing any damage to the existing pipeline and other utilities, testing the pipeline with required pressure and rectifying any defects noticed,including hire and conveyance of tools and plant, bailing out water,and as per the direction of the departmental officers etc. complete.
16Dismantling the bonnet of 400mm CI ACP/PE/DF Sluice valves by loosening or cutting out the bolts, taking the spindle, boxnutfrom the valve, checking for damages, supplying gun metal piece suitable for fabricating box nut, conveying the damaged box nut, spindle and the supplied GM material to engineering workshop, machining the gun metal, drilling hole, boring, threading and finishing boxnut and machining the spindle to suit newly fabricated box nut, conveying back to site, fixing the boxnut and spindle properly, supplying rubber insertion, refitting the bonnet, testing the pipeline to the required pressure and rectifying any defects noticed, without causing any damages to the existing pipeline and other utilities, including the hire and conveyance of tools and plant, bailing out water, providing caution boards, lighting, ribbon fencing, watching and traffic control and as per the direction of Departmental officers etc.complete and as per direction of the department officers etc. complete including cost of rubber insertion and gun metal for box nut.
