The electrode and lead shall be of copper all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge (Copper strip upto 7.5 RM will be included in the item rate and copper strip beyond 7.5 RM will be measured seperately.
3Note : (i) Contractor shall uselow reisistivity fresh agriculture soil , mixed with 3 x Bags of bentoniteclay of 25 Kg each for refillingthe pit to achive the desired resistance. (ii) copper strip will be laid below 60 cm from ground level and connected to test point through plinth protection(iii) Necessary cost of repair to plinth protection as per existing specification and connected plate and earth continuity conductor by providing 2 x brass nuts bolts and brazing of joints,bringing argiculture soil from out side defence land and cost of 3 x Bags of bentonitedeemed to be included in the item rate. (iv) Contractor has to clear the side and disposed off the excavated soil from pit on completion of work. (v) Contractor has to submit test report of earthing after completing the earthing. (vi) Bentonite clay should be Conf to IS 6186: 1986.(NOTE: (vii)The cost ofCopper strip of size 20X3 mm from top of earth plate upto 7.5 meter above ground level is deemed to be included in the unit rate of above item.and copper strip beyond 7.5 RM will be measured seperately. (viii). All the joints in copper strip and connection with Earth Plate to be welded through brazing and in addition by proving brass nut bolt and washer are deemed to be included in the unit rate. (viiii) Cost of brazing / welding and nut bolts are deemed to be included in the unit rate. (ix) Cost includes removal of excavated soil upto a distance of 100 mtrs.
4Taking out old unserviceable GI/aluminium/copper earth strip or for relaying/ refixing the same existing strip by providing procline insulatorsof any size and type in any height and any location as directed by Engineer In charge.
5Supply and fixing copper strip of size 20 x 3mm as earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed on "V" typeporcelain insulator, 4 BM, heavy duty ( ceramic bus bar supportinsulator off whitecolour ofsuitable for mounting strip of 20 mm wide x 3 min thick) saddle to wall, buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required 20 x 3 mm copper strip brazingto each joints and connected with by providingbrassnut boltsand washer all as specified and directed by Engr in Charge. Note : Insulators shall be provided on every 50 cm. (Minimum 2 x insulators to be provided in every 1 x metre of strip)

13Supply & Fixing for thermoplastic(polycarbonate) junction box for test point without terminal block of dimension 130 x 180 x 77 mm IP 66 halogen free and weather proof including four hexagonal anticorrosive screws for out door installation including taking down unserviceable one complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge Make : Hensel- Cat part No. KF 0600 H or as equivalent in Sintex.
14M&L in repair for Test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75 x 75 x 25 mm drilled and screwed incl 3 Nos 8mm dia 25mm long hexagonal head screws for fixing strips to test point including necessary fixing arrangement to fix test point terminal block in junction box with andincluding taking down unserviceable one complete all as specified and directed.

17Taking down old broken and damaged earth pit chamber and M & L for construction ofnew earth pit chamber of brick workwith plaster in outer and inner surface , copping of of PCC 1:2:4 Type A-1. Earth pit shall be ofsize 600 x 600 x600 mm embedded in ground below GL 150 mm withopenable cover made up of MS sheetofminimum 2.8 mm thicknessfixed in angle iron frameand handle including GI funnel and wire mesh , including paintingthe complete pit withtwo coat of synthetic enamel paint as per colour codeapproved by EIC and all as specified and directed

31M&L for Advanceencapsulated compound based Marconite compoundearthing maintenance free , with copper electrode of 88 mm dia (strip in pipe technology upgradedearthing system conforming IS 3043. The outer copper pipe shall be of 88 mm dia or manufacturer instruction and inner copper strip shall be of 25 x 3 mm respectively of3 mtrs long withterminal size 50 x 6 mm. The annular space between the pipe and strip to be filled up with Compactfill (CF) (Crystalline Conductive) mixture. The job includesexcavation of pit in any type of hard dense soil/ disinterigated rocky strataof size 1000 mm x 1000 mm x 3050 mm depth and taking out all excavated soil, lowering and placing copper electrode in centre of pit andfilling ofback fill marconite compoundhaving excellent moisture retaining capacity in sourrounding of electrode in300 mm dia all around the electrode( Min 4 bags of 25 Kg each ofMarconite back fill compound per pit per unit to be fill or more quantity of BFC if required to achive less than one ohms). The remaining portion of earth pit to be filled with agriculture soil / back cotton soil free from stones etcto be bring from out side defence land . The earth pit should be provided with a FRP earth pit cover for protection and safe guard of terminals. The material of earth electrodeshould have good electrical conductivity & anti corrosion property in wide range of soil conditions. The job also include M & L for in PCC(1:2:4) typeB1 around the FRP cover for support and foundation and colouring the PCC work withdesired colour.completeall as specified and directed. NOTE: 1) The quantity of BFC indicated above is generally for normal/good soils.In case the soil resistivity is high , the quantity of BFC should be increased & cost of the same is deemed to be inclusive in the quoted rates. 2). If the desired earth resistance not obtained the earthing shall be re-done by contractor without any extra cost to Govt . 3). Removal of excavated soil and filling of agriculture soil brought from out side defence land shall be included in the overall rate quoted.

(ii) Contractor have to submit literature of earth electrode and get the make approved of GE before procurement. (iii) The earth electrode shall be CPRI approved. (iv) Contarctor has to fill pure back fill compound all around the earth electrodein 300 mm bore up to full depth of bore. (v) Copper strip will be laid below 20 cm from ground level and connecting the test point through plinth protection using HDPE pipe for protection, necessary cost of repair to plinth protection and brazing and welding deemed to be included in the item. (vi) Contarctor shall submit the test report of earthing after completing the work of earthing. (vii) Contractor shall remove and disposed off the soil excavated from boring and clear the site before completion of work. (viii) Contractor has to submit the test certificate of electrode and back fill compound before claiming the payment.
