| 1 | Note for All items of this BOQ :SITE FOR EXECUTION OF WORK :- Tenderer shall note that work shall be executed at Runway / taxi track / Tarmac & similar location. Site for execution of work will be made available to contractor on Saturday, Sunday, Holidays and non operational days or when Runway will made available by GE / Engineer-In-charge after consultation with users, due to constant operational commitment at Jamnagar station. The contractor will have to arrange his working programme accordingly. No claim whatsoever, for not giving the entire site, on award of work and giving the site gradually will be entertained. The contractor shall consider this aspect while quoting his rates |
| 2 | Maintenance of runway shoulders and surrounding area by cutting of grass, plants, shrubs, vegetations and bushes from runway shoulders, taxi tracks, dispersal area and entire airfield area by using grass cutting machine with steel blade cutter/ nylon wire cutter, of Make grass/ bush machine cutter including removal of all debries to distance exc 500 meter but not exc 1.5 KM complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 3 | Note :- (a)The tenderers are advised to visit the site and make themselves fully aware of the area to be maintained as specified in the Schedule \"A\" (BOQ) and particular specifications.(b)The grass, plants, shrubs, vegetation and bushes shall not be allowed to grow more than 15cm from the ground level at any time. |
| 4 | (d)Minimum 6 machines with operators (un-skilled labourers) (including fuel/lubricants and spares etc shall be deployed each day for minimum 20 (Twenty) days in a calendar month throughout the contract period with minimum 6 hours working time with minimum of 4 litre fuel per machine in a day. A recovery equal to double the rate for un-skilled labourer calculated based on the contractor\"s quoted rate per head per day will be deducted from any amount due to contractor in case of his failure to comply with the conditions for providing minimum number of labourer for minimum number of days given above. Contractor shall deploy un-skilled laourers alongwith tools & plants and machine etc to execute the work as per scope of work covered in this contract. |
| 5 | (e)Unit rates quoted by the tenderer shall be deemed to include for the provision of making good the shallow pits, if any, in the specified area mentioned above and cleaning the site of runway air field area and taxi track as specified in the Schedule \"A\" (BOQ) and nothing extra shall be paid to the contractor on this account. |
| 6 | Deployment of T&P and labourfor cutting and removing the grasses / vegetation growth in the surrounding area of runway, taxi track and dispersals by using tractorequipped with jungle jim and disposing off all the rubbishto distance exc 250 meter but not exc 500 meter completeall as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.Note : Considering the working hours contractor will deploy minimum 02 Nos tractor equipped with jungle jim for each working day.A recovery equal to double the quoted rate per day (8 hours per day) will be deducted from the amount due to the contractor, in case of his failure to provide the minimum number of tractors equipped with jungle jim for a minimum of 15 days per month. |
| 7 | Removing old paint by paint removers or burning off by blow lamps and cleaning with scrapers, any number of coats, any width or girth. |
| 8 | M&L forpreparation of old painted surface of concrete pavement / black bituminous pavements / plastered surfaces etc over 10 cm width or girth by brooming down or steel wire brushing, scraping down smoke soot, mouls, moss and efflorescent salts and treating oil and greasy spotsand applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint of any tint and any colour as approved in lines, dashes, arrows, letters etcby using runway / road marking machine,all as specified and directed.Make: APCOLITE IS manufactured by Asian Paints or equivalent of make Jenson & Nicholson paints Pvt Ltd / Nerolac. |

| 10 | M&L forcomplete removal of old existing paint from surface of concrete pavement / black bituminous pavements / plastered surfaces etc over 10 cm width or girth by brooming down or steel wire brushing, mechanical scrapper, scraping down smoke soot, mouls, moss and efflorescent salts and treating oil and greasy spots and applying two coats ofwater based road marking paint of any tint and any colour as approved in lines, dashes, arrows, lettersby using runway / road marking machine,all as specified and directed.Make: APCOTRAK WBR manufactured by Asian Paints or equivalent of make Jenson & Nicholson paints Pvt Ltd / Nerolac |
| 11 | All as per item No 6 above including removal of existing paintbut width / girth not exceeding 10 cm. |
| 12 | Cleaning of PCC drain not exceeding 1.5 metre deep by removing of deposited soft / loose soil and other foreign materials not exc 30 cm deep and averaging 15 cm deep and removal of excavated material to a distance exc 250 m but n.exc 500 m complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-chargeNote:- Width of bottom of drain multiplied by the length of drain cleaned shall be measured for payment. |
| 13 | M&L for preparation of plastered or unplastered old decorated surfaces of concrete surfaces by brooming down or steel wire brushing, scraping down smoke soot, mouls, moss and efflorescent salts and treating oil and greasy spots and applying two coats of white wash complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 14 | Ploughing in any type of soil with disc plough mechanically operated with average depth of 45 cm running the plough in long and transverse direction and cleaning away of all grass / vegetable spoils, shrubs under growth roots and removing rubbish including breaking lumps, removing hard objects etc from the surfaces to a distance exc 150 metre but not exc 500 metre all as specified and as directed. |
| 15 | Note:- Logbook containing detail of date and time of ploughing, location, shall be maintained by the contractor and shall be signed by the Engineer-in-Charge & contractor. |
