Name of Work: Insulation Works for Reactors of HCU, MSP, DHDT and Other Miscellaneous Insulation Jobs during RTA 2023

1Thickness of Insulation: 25 mm to 75 mm: Removal of existing damaged worn out insulation, thoroughly cleaning the surface with wire brush or any other method as approved by the Engineer Incharge followed by providing & fixing single/multiple layer of machine stitched preformed LRB mineral wool mattresses of density 140 to 150kg/m3 conforming to IS:8183in required thickness over pipings, equipments etc., including fixing the insulation mattresses in position and securing the same properly with all necessary tools, tackles, materials such as binding, stitching wire, labour etc. The complete work shall be in accordance with the specifications laid down in the contract and in the latest IS standards as per the directions of Engineer-in-Charge. Note: 1) Contractor has to make his own arrangement for procurement and storage of all the materials. 2) This item includes disposal of the debris to the directed place within the unit in concern as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge. Expenses for PF/ESI/WCI etc. for all workers shall be borne by the contractor.

3Cutting out inspection pockets in insulation over pipings, vessels, columns, equipments etc. (upto 5 m from groung level) including cutting out of existing aluminium cladding & insulation, thoroughly cleaning the surface with wire brush or any other method as approved by the Engineer Incharge followed by re-insulation of the pockets in original thickness along with refitting of aluminum cladding with all necessary tools, tackles, materials such as binding, stitching wire, labour etc. Note: 1) Contractor has to make his own arrangement for procurement and storage of all the materials. 2) This item includes disposal of the debris to the directed place within the unit in concern as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge. Expenses for PF/ESI/WCI etc. for all workers shall be borne by the contractor.
4Extra for every additional height of one meter or part thereof beyond 5 meters from ground level for Cutting out inspection pockets in insulation over pipings, vessels, columns, equipments etc. Measurements for this item=(Measurement of work as per item no 30)×(Height of the work location in meters minus 5).
5Removal of old damaged worn out Aluminium Claddingfollowed by providing and fixing cladding with new internal polysurlyn coated Aluminum plain /corrugated sheets. The job includes cutting, bending and grooving to proper shape and size and fixing with self-tapping screws,securing with mettalic bands wherever required and providing water proofing elastomeric sealing compound (or tar felt) between the sheet overlap/joint followed by applying water and UV resistant aluminum foil tape. Note: 1) Contractor has to make his own arrangement for procurement and storage of all the materials. 2) This item includes disposal of the debris to the directed place within the unit in concern as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge. Expenses for PF/ESI/WCI etc. for all workers shall be borne by the contractor.
6Removal of old damaged worn out Aluminium Cladding and fixing cladding with new internal polysurlyn coated Aluminum plain /corrugated sheets. The job includes cutting, bending and grooving to proper shape and size and fixing with self-tapping screws,securing with mettalic bands wherever required and providing water proofing elastomeric sealing compound (or tar felt) between the sheet overlap/joint followed by applying water and UV resistant aluminum foil tape. Note: 1) NRL will issueinternal polysurlyn coated Aluminum plain /corrugated sheets and securing bands on free issue basis. However, contractor has to make their own arrangement for storage of all the materials.2) Other anciliary items/self tapping screw/joint sealing compunds/aluminium foil tape/tools tackles/manpower etc. has to be supplied by the contractor. 3) item includes disposal of the debris to the directed place within the unit in concern as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge.Expenses for PF/ESI/WCI etc. for all workers shall be borne by the contractor.
7Providing and fixing box scaffolding system up to seven story height made with 40 mm dia M.S. tube 1.5 m centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joining with cup & lock system with M.S. tubes, M.S. tube challies, M.S. clamps and M.S. staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it there after .The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with the building etc wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc. as per directions and approval of Engineer-in- charge .The volume of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose . The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding.Expenses for PF/ESI/WCI etc. for all workers shall be borne by the contractor.
8Supply and application of approved brand ofHeat resistant silicone Aluminium Paint suitable up to 540°C dry temperature containing Aluminium metal confirming to ASTM 962 as the main pigment with minimum 30 % solids, including steel scaffolding , preparation of surfaces, wherever required for all heights, labour, materials, tools and tackles, consumables,supervision, etc. to complete the work in all respects as per specifications, NRL painting Manual and direction of Engineer in Charge.Expenses for PF/ESI/WCI etc. for all workers shall be borne by the contractor.
9Deployment & operation of 9 tonne Diesel Truckof capacity 5 CUM including supply of necessary fuel & operator for carrying and disposal of insulation material to a designated place as per the direction of Engineer in charge
10Loading insulation material on to diesel truck of 5 CUM capacity upto full capacity and unloading the same at an area designated by the EIC upto 2km away from the loading site. Loading and unloading shall be done minimum 8 times per day. This work item is inclusive of all manpower, tools and tackles. (Cost for providing and operating diesel truck shall be paid for seperately). Expenses for PF/ESI/WCI etc. for all workers shall be borne by the contractor.
