All works road rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking allnecessary precutions against soil erosion damage to hill side water pollution etc, and to protect stability of hill side.Rock shall be excavated with chieseling and wedging out rock( whereblasting is prohibited).All earth work in cutting/ excavation, includingrock excavation shall be carried out true to lines grades sides slopes,width, camber,super elevation and level as shown on thedrawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge in confirmity with the requirement of technical specification of Rural road August 2004 and clause 16.2 of general conditions for contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of materials useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unserviceable cut material and specificed manner,including arrangement of dumping site trimming,filling of unvenness blindage and finishing of the road to specified diamensions including disposal of surplus materials with all leads, and lifts at the locatuion specified in the tender document or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for smooth riding.The recoveryfor stones where useful or not i.e. 532.13( Five Hundredthirty twopoint thirteen )cubic metre @ 170/- (Rs. ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY) only per cubic metre shall be effected on pro-rata basis.Any lossto the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor,which shall have to be duly compensated by him at his on cost in all cases including haulaging/ carriage of all labours, equipments and materials to various locations through all mode of transportations in all leads, lifts to the entire satisfaction and direction of the Engineer- in - Charge. |
