43Transporting from storage yard (or any other location as specified by engineer-incharge), storing & erecting in position at all leve ls and locations, ELECTROFORGED GALVANISED GRATING ALREADY FABRICATED BY OTHERSincluding cutting to required size, shape, making h oles, notches, openings of required size, nosing, straightening if required, making the edges smooth, removing the burrs, fixing wit h supplied galvanised clamps, all complete as specified and directed. 46Providing and fixing aluminium work for doors, windows, ventilators and partitions with extruded built up standard tubular sections/ appropriate Z sections and other sections of approved make conforming to IS: 733 and IS: 1285, fixing with dash fasteners of required dia and size, including necessary filling up the gaps at junctions, i.e. at top, bottom and sides with required EPDM rubber/ neoprene gasket etc. Aluminium sections shall be smooth, rust free, straight, mitred and jointed mechanically wherever required including cleat angle, Aluminium snap beading for glazing / paneling, C.P. brass / stainless steel screws, all complete as per architectural drawings and the directions of Engineer-in-charge. 78HB Epoxy MIOto achive a minimum DFT of 100-150 microns (one or more coat of 100-150 Micron).

81Taking out old worn out damaged insulation materials of any thickness including wool,mattress, pre-formed sections or any other insulating materials including cladding of aluminium or GI sheet from any height and location etc. complete and transporting and stacking the serviceable materials to owner"s storage point and damaged materials within 2.00 km lead inside Refinery .The job also includes cleaning the site, transporting the materials to directed place at any height, complete with all labour and materials etc. as per specification and direction of Engineer-In-Charge but excluding the cost of scaffolding. (Payment shall be made on the previously finished surface area).
82Providing & fixing 0.1mm thick Aluminium Foil over the technological equipments like columns, vessels, ducts, horton spheres and pipelines etc all complete with tools & tackles, materials such as lacing, binding,labour etc complete in accordance with the specification laid down in the contract and in latest IS standard as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge/ drawings issued. Overlap of the foils shall not be less than 50mm on any side and the foil should be boundsecuredly using binding wire of 24 SWG at pitch not more than 450 c/c. Contractor has to make arrangement of all materials required. Measurement shall be done on the finished surface. Note: 1.Contractor has to make his own arrangement for procurement and storage of all materials. 2.The item includes disposal of debris to the directed place within 2 Km lead as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
83Fixing cladding with new / old aluminium / GI sheets, plain or corrugated. The job includes cutting, bending & joints and securing the overlaps alternately by POP grooving to proper shape and size, providing minimum 50mm overlaps on both longitudinal and circumferential joints including end termination/ cap and securing the overlaps alternately by POP rivets and self- tapping screws at every 150mm c/c, andsecuring additionally with metalic bands at amaximumspacing of300mm c/c atany height andlocation with all labour, materialsetc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge but excluding the cost of scaffolding. (Payment of above shall be made on the area of the finished surface). Note: 1. Screw, requiredfor metal jacket securement shall be SS / Cadmium plated steel self tapping , type A No.8 Dia*12mm long to BS 4176 complete with Neoprene washers under the head. Rivets required for metal jacket securement shall be the expanding aluminium "POP" blind eye type/SS, 9.5mm long* 5mm dia. 2. For additional securement of cladding,Band, SS 12mm (Min.) wide x 24SWG thick is to be used for pipings andBand, SS 20mm wide x 24SWG thick is to be used for equpiments. 3.For ensuring perfect waterproofing, all the cladding joints shall be sealed with approved elastomeric metal sealant. 4. For insulations with vapour barrier, cladding shall not be applied until the vapour barrier has completelydried and solvents have dissipated. Self tapping screws/ rivets shall not be used to secure aluminiumcladding as they may puncture the vapour barrier.

86Providing and fixing single/multiple layer of machine stitched LRB mineral wool mattresses conforming to IS:8183/ASTM C 592, Class-II, faced on one side with 20mm galvanised 22 SWG wire mesh, suitable for temperature up to 550 Deg C,in required thickness over the pipings and technological equipments like columns, vessels, ducts, horton spheres, storage tanks etc., including cleaning of the surface with wire brush, fixing the insulation mattresses in position andsecuring the same properly, etc. all complete with tools, tackles, materials such as lacing, binding, stitching wire, labour etc. complete in accordance with the specifications laid down in the contract, latest IS standards and as per the directions of Engineer-in-Charge; but excluding the cost of scaffolding. Note: 1. Contractor has to make his own arrangement for procurement and storage of all the materials and has to produce manufacturer"s testcertificate in support of characteristics of insulation materials i.e. "K" value, density etc. 2. The joints offibrous insulation material shall be tightly butted and laced together with 1mm diagalvanised lacing wire. 3. Insulation thickness more than 75mm shall be in multi layers. 4. Each layer of the pipinginsulation shall be secured firmly in place with atleast 3 loops of 24SWG thick x 12mm wide SS bands, one loop to be placed not morethan 75mm from each end and atleast one loop shallbe equally spaced betweeen two end loops. 5. 118DISMANTLINGOF CARBON STEEL/ALLOY STEEL PIPINGBY HOT WORK (INSULATED / UNINSULATED) Dismantling and removal of above ground, overhead or under ground (upto height depth of 5m) redundant/ steam traced / insulated/ uninsulated piping of carbon steel / alloy steel by gas cutting or by grinding from various locations such as pipe racks, columns, pump house, vessels, heaters, heat exchangers, desalter etc. including removal of insulation material, all on line instruments, fittings, flanges, valves, vents, drains, branching etc.; lowering down the same to ground level with due care so that no other piping, equipment, machinery etc. is damaged; cutting into pieces if required; segregating for salvaging useful fittings such as bends, flanges, valves, instruments etc. by unbolting, gas cutting, cold cutting etc.; transporting and stacking the salvageable useful materials to workshop / instrument workshop/ store or as per the direction of the Engineer-in-Charge and shifting the scrap pipes etc. to scrap yard or any other location within refinery premises and completing the job as per the instructions of Engineer-in-Charge. Scope also includes supplying of all types of tools and tackles, lifting arrangements, equipment, machineries, all consumables and labour etc. to complete the work in all respects including area preparation, taking clearance for hot jobs, blinding and de-blinding, area cleaning after completion of work, arrangement for flushing wherever required as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. NOTE : 1. Proper safety arrangements for carrying out the job is under contractor"s scope and the same has to be complied with as per the d irections of the Engineer- in-Charge. 2. Salvaging of useful fitting from redundant pipe, if done, will be paidunder separate item. 3. Civil works (excavation and back filling) for underground dismantling shall be paid separately. Note: For job execution beyond 5 Mtr. elevation above or below ground level, rates are to be escalated by 10% for every 5 meters. Requirement of scaffolding to be envisaged and decided by Engineer in Charge as per site requirement and scaffolding item to be paid separately.

253HEAT TREATMENT Heat treatment of shop fabricated for already installed piping / static equipment etc. for joints or other operations wherever required. Heating to be carried out in a furnace or by using an electric resistance or induction heating equipment ensuring uniform temperature attainment at all points of the portion being heat-treated. The portion under heat treatment shall be wrapped suitably under insulation to avoid any harmful temperature gradient. The temperature thus attainted in the portion under heat treatment shall be recorded by means of thermocouples, pyrometer and an automatic temperature recorders suitably calibrated should be employed. The calibration chart of each recorder along with hardness test results shall be submitted to the Engineer-in-Charge for approval. The details of heat treatment such as heating rate, soaking temperature pause period and cooling rate etc. to be carried out as per relevant standards / code as instructed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

272REMOVAL OF FLANGED / RTJ VALVES/ LEVEL TROLL/ FIRE HYDRANT/MONITORS/ SAFETY VALVES ETC. Dismantling and removal of all types of flanged including RTJ valves, level troll, fire hydrant, monitor by debolting/ cold/ hot cutting of fasteners wherever required from pipelines at ground level i.e. up to a height of 5 meters on sleepers, pipe racks etc. or up to 5 meters depth in trenches including removal of gaskets, nut bolts etc. and transportation either to owner"s storage point /workshop and / or scrapyard including loosening of studs, disconnecting earthing protection all complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge including all labour, tools, tackles, consumables and supervision etc. For job execution beyond 5 Mtr. elevation above or below ground level, rates are to be escalated by 10% for every 5 meters. Requirement of scaffolding to be envisaged and decided by Engineer in Charge as per site requirement and scaffolding item to be paid separately.

300OPENING AND BOXING UP OF MANHOLES The job involves opening of cover, man holes, by opening of bolts and nuts, cold/hot cutting of corroded fasteners, boxing up by using new and proper rating gasket after cleaning of gasket faces and complete the job in all respectas per drawings and direction of the Engineer-in-Charge, including all labour, tools, tackles, consumables and supervision etc.

306SCRAP REMOVAL Collection of metallic scrap / unwanted materials such as valves, pipes, bends, plates, structural, gasket sheets, hoses, fasteners etc., from different location and elevations and transporting them to scrap yard or any other place as per instruction of Engineer-in-Charge. Job includes supplying of all types of tools and tackles, all consumables and labour. All jobs are to be carried out as per the inst ruction and to the full satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: If cutting is required as per site requirement the same shall be paid separately. Requirement of scaffolding to be envisaged and decided by Engineer in Charge as per site requirement and scaffolding item to be paid separately. Requirement of heavy equipment to be envisaged by Engineer in Charge and to be arranged separately, if required, as the same in not included in the item rate.
307SCRAP REMOVAL
308MATERIAL HANDLING WITHIN REFINERY Handling, shifting, stacking etc. of piping and structural material as per job requirement at elevation and as per instruction of En gineer-in-Charge. This item to be operated in case of lifting and lowering of piping/ plates/ structural for repair job to safe working site where fire permit can be given, redundant material removal from position and transporting to store/scrap yard etc. Supply of labour, tools and tackles, consumables etc. will be in contractor"s scope. All jobs are to be carried out as per the instruction and to the full satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.(Item should not be operated for area scrap removal). Requirement of heavy equipment to be envisaged by Engineer in Charge and to be arranged separately, if required, as the same in not included in the item rate.

310HOSE CONNECTION AND DISCONNECTION JOB Hose connection and disconnection job involves transportation of hoses from the owner"s storage to worksite, opening the roll and laying the hose, cutting if required, joining them properly, connection of ends to specified locations/ equipment/ supply points as per Production requirement, tying the hose wherever required, opening of end connections and removal of hose after job completion, rolling the same and shifting to scrap yard/ storage point as per direction of EIC. The job also covers lowering, lifting, handling of hoses, area preparation, area cleaning and compliance to all safety norms and work permit systems. Note: The rates shall be applicable for working and connection at all elevation. The hoses, clamps and bolts shall be supplied by IOCL free of charge. This item shall be operative only if hose connection/ disconnection is required by Production/ Maintenance and is not related to execution of other item. Only hose connection or dis-connection shall be treated as half activity. Requirement of scaffolding to be envisaged and decided by Engineer in Charge as per site requirement and scaffolding item to be paid separately.
