| 1 | Excavation in earthwork in hilly area all heights and depths, in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution, etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/excavation, including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber, super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge, in conformity with the requirement of technical specification for Rural Road, August, 2004 and clause 16.2 of gerneral conditions for contract to achieve designed formation width indluding hauling and stacking of material useful for constrcuction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials in and findihing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in chargefor smooth riding. The recovery for usefulstones,for 74.98 cum. (Seventy Four pointNine Eight cubic meter)@ Rupees 170/= only (Rupees one hundred seventyonly) per cubic metre shall be effected on pro rata basis in all circumstances. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases. |
| 2 | Clearing and grubbing road land inicluding uprooting wild vegetation, grass, bushes, shrubs, saplings and trees of girth upto 300mm, removal of stumps of such trees cut earlier in area of non thorny jungle and disposal of unserviceable materials and stacking of serviceable material to be used or auctioned, upto all leads including removal and disposal of top organic soil not exceeding 150mm in thickness as per technical specifications clauses 201 as per direction of the Engineer-in-compplete. |
