NAME OF WORK: Consultancy Services for Soil testing & Topography survey for the proposed construciton of Perimeter Security Wall on A1 Defence Land at Trichy.

Topographical survey work of site area admeasuring 15000 SqMtr (Approximately) using Electronic Total Station at A1 defence land Trichirapalli, Tamilnadu, comprising the following works:- (a) Surveying and measurement of boundary alignment (b) Taking topographical details like exisitng building alignment & offset and location of trees, Electric pole/lines, septic tank, manholes,shed, parking areas, alignment of roads and canal.(c) Taking spot level and road level at 3m x 3m interval. (d) Preparation of contour interval 0.10 Mtrs (f) Establishing TBM Marking on the permanent structures (g) Preparation of detailed drawing in AutoCAD with the surveyed data. (h) Supplying 3 Nos of colour drawing in A0 size and 1 No of soft copy drawing complete all as directed.

Boring of 06 Nos of bore holes through all kind of soil up to a depth of 10 mtrs for building below ground level for up to strain value > 50, collecting samples and conducting necessary fields tests as per following parameters :-(i) Depth of bore holes may be taken minimum 10 mtrs or N value reaches 50 which ever is earlier. (ii) SPT value atevery 0.75 m intervals and change of strata. (iii) Grain size distribution and analysis.(iv) Soil characteristics.(v) Value of cohesion and angle of internal friction. (vi) Recommended SBC at different depths of foundation i.e 1500mm, 2000mm, 2500mm (vii) SBC and its calculation based on \"N\" value shear strength and settlement criteria should be worked out for following size of footing 1.5 x 1.5, 1.5 x 2.5, 2 x 2.5 & 2 x 3 m. (viii) Depth of water table (maximum and minimum) (ix) Depth of expansive soil and its properties if any (x) Recommendation for type of foundation (xi) Recommendation as regards possibility of liquefaction of soil in case of saturated or partially saturated or un compacted sandy soil (xii) Recommendation for filling under floors and filling under protection including plinth protection (xiii) Chemical analysis of soil (xiv) Any other recommendations.

Note for Item No. 2 :(i) Soil investigation and the report shall be as per NBC ,IS 1892, 2131,1888, 2720,1904, 6403,8009, 1498,4968 & SP 36 in general. (ii) Soil investigation report shall be got vetted from IITs/NIITs/ any other reputed Government Engineering College.(iii) Soil investigation report shall comprise recommendations on type of foundation, depth of foundation, design safe bearing capacity of soil and type of cement to be used for foundation.
