The work involves. a) Cleaning the entire surface of the head, opening the lube oil inspection door, cleaning the lube oil passage, flushing with diesel, cleaning the seal air passage and flushing with diesel and dismantling all the parts separately. b) Removing the trunnion shaft after dismantling the fixing studs, tapping the threads holes. c) Taking undercut on the eroded locations of the head. d) Preheating and welding the undercut portion to therequired depth. e) Grinding and finishing the welded surface. f) Assembling the lube oil door. g) Assembling the shaft and fixing studs. h) Checking the tightness of shaft with head assembly. |

The work involves. a) Transportation of new/old pillow blocks, end caps, bushings, bushing retainers etc from store to work site. b) Assembling the pillow blocks sets at both the free end and thrust end of the trunnion shaft. c) Checking the tilting operation of the head and adjustment of end cap. d) Tightening all bolt nuts. |
